Summary:
Monthai (Pong) comes from a very prominent and wealthy family. His mother Tap Tim is an heiress and his father Mahat is a diplomat. Tap Tim keeps her son on a tight leash because she fears he will turn out like her husband. Monthai’s father is a philanderer. He keeps house with 4 different woman. Tap Tim is aware of her husband’s scandalous ways but she accepts it because she loves her husband. Tap Tim even supports her husband’s philandering ways by allowing one of his mistresses to stay in the main estate . In the original Ngao Asoke, lady Tap Tim has a heart illness so she allowed her husband to see other woman because she couldn’t do her wifely duties.—-I know, it’s kinda weird.
Monthai has a gf named Wiyada Hiranwat, his next door neighbor. Before he goes to study aboard, his mother wants him to get engage to Wiyada. Tap Tim approves of Wiyada because she is wealthy and the daughter of her best friend.
One day, Monthai and Wiyada are cuddling or something in the backyard and they hear a girl giggling at them. Wiyada is totally embarrassed and chases after the girl. When they caught her, Wiyada wants to beat the girl but Monthai forbids her. Monthai asked the little girl whether she was eavesdropping on them. The girl said no, she just wanted to pick flowers from the Asoke tree to eat. The little girl’s name is Bee and she is an orphaned living with her grandmother Tiam. Monthai knows the old lady very well and allowed Bee to pick the flowers and also gave her some money. This moment of kindness would leave a lasting impression on Bee. The little girl will grow up to be Monthai’s wife.
Several days later, Wiyada’s father accidentally hit Bee’s grandmother with his car. Bee’s grandmother dies and Bee is taken into the Hiranwat household. Wimon, Wiyada’s mother, changed Bee’s name to Piachet (Peung). Piachet is taken into the Hiranwat household as a servant girl to Wipawan, Wiyada’s younger sister. Though out her stay at the Hiranwat household, Wipawan aka Paa will always look out for Piachet.
Wiyada uses Piachet as a communication device to chat with Monthai. As Piachet starts running errands for Wiyada to Monthai, she gets to know Monthai a lot better and the two start a older brother/ little sister relationship. Monthai adores Piachet so much, he brought her a cute little white dress for her to wear at his farewell party. Monthai is leaving Thailand to study aboard.
At the party, Wiyada finds out that Monthai brought Piachet the dress. She becomes really envious. She pinches Piachet and orders her to go back home.
Piachet leaves but doesn’t go home. She finds a spot near by and cries. She falls asleep at that very spot. The party ends and Monthai wanders around and finds Piachet sleeping. He gently picks her up and carries her home.
Walking back home, Monthai meets up with Lakana (Fang), a servant girl in his estate. Lakana is also his distant cousin who is really shy. Monthai loves to tease Lakana because of her shyness around him. Tap Tim sees them messing around and is really pissed.
Like I said earlier, Tap Tim keeps her son on a tight leash when it comes to “lower class” woman. She marches into their conversation and starts insulting Lakana. Tap Tim thinks that Lakana wants Monthai as a husband and wants the Mahatatha fortune. Lakana runs off crying and Monthai yells at his mother.
Monthai tells his mother that he is the one to blame. He was just teasing Lakana because she is really shy and it just rude of his mother to insult and innocent girl like that. Plus, he doesn’t even see Lakana as a love interest. He sees her as a cousin or sister.
Lakana runs to her room and hangs herself because Tap Tim insulted her integrity. Lakana is a sensitive young woman with an inferior complex and this was not the first time that Tap Tim degraded her in front of other people. Tap Tim always like to humiliate her in public because Lakana represented all the girls that seduce her husband. They were from the same social class.
Lakana’s mother finds her body and lets out a scream. Monthai and Tap Tim rushes to Lakana’s room and also find her dead body.
Monthai blames Tap Tim for Lakana’s suicide. He leaves for his studies aboard and vows to never come back. Tap Tim is heartbroken.
Wiyada and her family move to Chiangmai. Piachet goes along too.
Monthai keeps in touch with Wiyada by letters. Monthai writes his own letters but Wiyada makes Piachet write her letters because Piachet has better handwriting. Wiyada’s handwriting is like chicken scratch according to Wipawan.
Wiyada becomes impatient with Monthai because he taking forever to come back. She stops writing to him but Piachet secretly writes to him using Wiyada’s name. Wiyada starts seeing other men even though Piachet advises her to be faithful to Monthai.
One day, Mahat dies and Tap Tim is left alone. She goes a little crazy. She calls out for Monthai to come back but he never does. She then calls for Wiyada to come visit but Wiyada is a selfish and cold-hearted prick, she ignores her requests. Tap Tim’s condition worsen and she really wants to see Wiyada. Wipawan tells her to send Piachet to care for Tap Tim. —I don’t know if they are kepping the same story line-the reason Wipawan wants to send Piachet to Tap Tim is because she wants to save Piachet from her father. Mr. Hiranwat wants to make Piachet his mistress. Everyone approves but Wipawan.
Piachet makes the trip to Bangkok to care for Tap Tim. Tap Tim wants Wiyada and doesn’t recognize Piachet. The head servant makes Piachet pretend to Wiyada and Tap Tim buys it.
Piachet cares for Tap Tim full heartedly. Tap Tim cools down from her craziness and everyone is happy. Monthai also hears the news that his mother is getting better because Wiyada is there caring for her. Monthai is happy that the love of his life is caring for his mother. He decides to come back to Thailand and visit them both.
To his surprise, the girl caring for his mother is not Wiyada but Piachet. He is pissed. Monthai thinks that Piachet weaseling her way to the Mahatatha fortune by using deceit as a tool. Piachet explains to him that it’s not the case but he doesn’t believe him.
Since his mother is crazy and thinks that Piachet is Wiyada, they have no choice but to continue the charade. Monthai would tease Piachet by hugging her and kissing her in front of his mother. His mother didn’t care and wanted them to get marry real soon.
His mother suggestion pissed of Monthai even more. Piachet trying to protect herself from Monthai’s wrath, she lied and told him that she didn’t want to marry him because she already had a bf. This lie will screw them over later on.
Wiyada hears that Monthai is back in Thailand. She decides she wants to care for Tap Tim too. In order to make way for Wiyada, Piachet confesses to Tap Tim that she is not Wiyada. Tap Tim isn’t angry because she already knew the truth. She was playing a game too. Everyone is surprise and even Monthai.
Wiyada comes into the scene and start messing things up between everyone.
—I’ll end it here.
Monthai (Pong Nawat) and N’rai Wiyada (Puey Parnwad)
Lakana (Fang), she dies at the beginning by committing suicide. In the original Ngao Asoke, she kills herself by slitting her own throat. This time around she will hang herself.
Pra’nangs meet for the first time. Monthai meets Bie when she is a child. Monthai and Wiyada were being sweet together in the backyard. Bie chuckled at the sight because this is the first time she is seeing adults being affectionate with each other. Wiyada is embarrassed and starts beating Bie for eavesdropping. In truth, she snuck into Monthai’s backyard to gain access to the Asoke tree. She wanted to pick the flowers to eat.
Lady Tap Tim scolding Lakana because she suspect the girl of trying to seduce Monthai.
At this point, Monthai is studying aboard and Wiyada starts seeing other men.
Monthai bullying Piachet (Pueng). She used to be called Bie but Wiyada’s mother changed it to Piachet.
Gosh, I sense a little overacting by Pueng. I have high expectations for this lakorn. Please Don’t Disappoint!
Wiyada’s sister Paa and Monthai’s brother played by Oak Smith. Jiab plays Piachet’s english teacher from High School.
Wiyada bullying Piachet.

story line is good and Pong’s acting is awsome but the main actress’ acting is really overacting…v.v

Pong~~
It’s a drama i want to watch long time, but unfortunately there is no translation,i have no idea about Thai, the only word i know is hello.
The most suffering is i don’t understand their dialogues, only thing can i do is reading the summary then guess the plot .
I believe that this situation won’t change for a long time. Thai is not popular as Japanese&Korean in China. There is no organization provide the Thai course in Shanghai.

sawadee ka!!!!! and thank you for taking the time to write this blog!
I have just returned from Chiang Mai where I got hooked on this lakorn in four episodes and I don’t speak Thai or understand a single word. But I figured out the basic jist of the storyline and made a few assumptions (mostly they were correct) about just what the heck was going on here.
SO again, thank you for fleshing out the details….. I will keep reading and hoping I reach the conculsion.. can you tell me how long they plan to continue showing this on ThaiTV ? Has it been going on for a long time? Is there anyway to watch it on the internet?
Kaup koon Ka! Chris
