Wow, no loyalty whatsoever, I knew this was coming. After the mooning incident earlier this year, Lydia has slowly begun to distance herself from boyfriend Matthew Deane. Back in February (I think?), Matthew mooned a photographer while riding on an escalator at one of Bangkok’s major shopping centers. Matthew Deane never apologize for the incident and claimed it was just a harmless joke. Then Matthew Deane explained that these kinds of thing happen all the time in America. Since Thailand is trying to be “inter” (International) they should be more liberal and accept it has nothing serious. Well, Thailand didn’t take it too well and Matthew Deane started losing promotional gigs.
Before the incident, Lydia and Matthew were seen all over town , doing promotional product gigs as a couple. Now, Lydia has denied that they were ever boyfriend and girlfriend. It’s true in the past, she has never admitted that they were dating but she also never corrected anyone who thought they were. Now things have changed and being with Matthew is no longer advantageous so he is kicked to the curve.
Since Lydia doesn’t want people to think that she is a fame-whore starlet, who only dates men who will make her more popular, she told a reporter from Manager that she is not distancing herself from Matthew. The reason why they are no longer hanging out is because of her work schedule and also she wants time apart from him. They are still close friends but constantly being together can become very boring. She wants time for herself to do as she pleases. In a relationship you can never be sure and you can make changes. Okay buddy, several months ago, when being with Matthew was considered cool, you were constantly being seen with him.
I don’t blame Lydia for breaking up with Matthew, but she need to be upfront about it. She should just admit that she was totally embarrassed over the incident and she is losing money because of him.
