Aff’s character in this lakorn is freaking hilarious. Tomboyish Tanyong wants to be a mechanic and plans to open her own car shop. Nothing wrong with that but the way they presented in the story, it was freaking hilarious.
I love the dad’s reaction, he was sitting on his rocker chair and suddenly when he got the news, he sat up and shouted,“Have you gone crazy, Yong!”
“What is wrong with the daughters in this house, in their past lives, were they men?” he continued.
Overall I think the dad is pretty narrow-minded, he doesn’t want any of his daughters to be educated because ladies being more educated than their male counterparts is considered unladylike and deemed culturally unacceptable. Roll eyes, I guess you have to consider the time period. Thankfully in the end, he agreed.

I Haven’t yet found time to watch episode two, but i can’t wait. I know isn’t that funny, Aff wants to be an machanic! I heard episode two is very exciting! I can’t wait to see what happened to aff after aum dragged her to the police.. lol.. those two are freaken men to each other!
THank goodness my parents don’t think like that! They want us to get the highest education we can get but they perfer for us to be doctors and what not, heck no! forget being a doctor or a nurse, eww ihate the hospitals. im sticking with what i like!
Aff characters got spunk and feisty. I like her. Spoiler, the young sisters that got married to the son’ s of dad friend, is gay (later on in the story).
It’s not just Tan-Yong father that thinks that way. My father thinks that way too. It took my mom and I forever to convince him. My father perspective is girl should just finish high school and get married, being highly educated can drive a man away. Some of the storyline line in this lakorn kind a reflect on a lot of chinese family just like mine. I like Aff in this character, eventhough it is a different role for her but she plays it well.
