Twenty -two year old, Miss Thailand “Ming” Peerada Kajornmalee snags the Miss Congeniality title at the 37th annual Miss Intercontinental 2008 pageant Saturday night at the Music Dom of Zarbse in Poland.

Man, there is too many damn pageants–Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Universe World, Miss Globe Planet Earth Universe World, Miss Transcontinental Globe Round Ball Third Rock from the Sun ShoeLace World, and I could go on. Is it really necessary?

Ming’s press release:
“I feel proud that I was able to publicize Thai culture in a good way, especially in the way that we pay respect and say hello. Like saying “Sawatdee” to a friend, I was able to teach all the 57 contestants and it has been one of the most important experiences in my life. I feel proud of myself. I’m also proud to take the title of Miss Friendship or Miss Congeniality, voted by my fellow beauty contestant friends. When I heard the host announce that Miss Thailand was named for this title, I was shocked because I thought I would never receive this title. Finally I regain my composure and quickly walked up to get my award.

Nonetheless, I would like to pass on a big thank you to everyone who has supported and sent me here, whether it be my family, friends, my seniors,everyone.”
