So Saeng Tawan: Red Flags!

I haven’t been keeping up with “So Saeng Tawan (Fighting for the sunlight)“. I watch it but not closely. Most of the time, I find myself fast-forwarding through the political intrigue, pra’ek and his revenge scheme; I just head to the Pancake and Tle moments and skip the rest. I really don’t know what the heck is going on. From what I can gather, pra’ek is really bizarre and he has a really unhealthy relationship with nang’ek.

Pra’ek is not sadistic like Harit in JLR, but he is really out there. I don’t really consider drugging people, especially your leading lady, healthy. From episode 6-10, pra’ek has drugged nang’ek with a cloth 3 times. THREE TIMES, I repeat. I don’t know, I consider that a red flag for craziness.

He drugged her part 1:

In episode 6, Garn (Tle) and Linin (Pancake) were chatting outside a club, she is yelling at him because he sent her a note that read:”I tired of you, why aren’t you tried of me yet. Non”. Non is Linin’s boyfriend who died in an auto accident. After his death, Linin becomes the girl version of Tor from Badarn Jai; she is suicidal and maniac depressive.

Linin found the note distasteful and accused Garn of liking her and the note was just a way for him to get her attention. She tells him, “you think you can get my attention this way, dream on!”

He doesn’t take her insult seriously, looks up at the moon and asked, “Tonight the Moon is very beautiful, would you like to go out with me tonight?”

Of course being that she is a sane woman, she turns him down. And being that he is not normal, he takes his chloroform cloth and drugs her. He is like the modern day caveman, instead of cubbing the woman who rejects him with a bat, he uses chloroform cloth to knock her out and carry her to his den. Like seriously, it’s barbaric.

Linin wakes up, wobbles around a little bit and calls him a bastard.

He then annoys her by tangling her necklace with her boyfriend Non’s ashes in front of her face and later throwing it into the bushes.

Linin becomes franatic when he throws her necklaces into the bushes:‘How can you do that? Do you know how much that necklace means to me?”

His response:”To keep it near you, to hear you cry over it? Do you think he will be happy with that? If I was Non, I would not let the person I love be in misery.”

Garn kidnapped Linin to give her a lecture about living her life and not dwelling over the past, it’s nice but his execution was very abnormal. You don’t drug people to give them lectures about improving their lives.

He later forced kissed her. LOL.

He drugged her part 2:

Episode 7, he lures her out to the parking lot during her wedding day with a recording of Non’s voice and drugs her again with a cloth because she is marrying his half-brother, Mek (Aof Chanapol).

He takes her to his home in the country.

I was kinda fine with this kidnapping because nearly all pra’ek do this at some point in a lakorn. It’s a lakorn, what do you expect?

He drugged her part 3:

Ep. 10, they became intimate with each other, I think. I don’t know. It was really quick, lights off and they woke up with clothes. I think they got intimate, I was told they got intimate.

Even Linin said she was crazy for sleeping with someone like Garn, but define sleeping. Does she mean sleeping as in action or sleeping as in normal sleeping? Come on, they woke up with clothes. Somewhat confuse but okay, It was a lakorn intimate moment, you just have to use your imagination, which by the way I lack. I need to see to believe.

From episode 10, Garn and Linin develop a relationship, I was fine with that. He is a little weird, but aren’t all pra’eks? So then episode 11 rolls around and he drugs her again. Why? I don’t understand the need to drug her again when he is already in a relationship with her. I don’t consider it healthy, I consider that kind of action a red flag for insanity. He has a lot of issues and he needs to stop drugging people with cloths.

Let me lay the scene for you guys, in the middle of episode 11, which by the way aired yesterday October 7th, Garn drugs Linin with a chloroform soaked cloth to surprise her. First he lures her with his dog, then he comes up behind her and covers her mouth & nose with the chloroform cloth. She looses consciousness and wakes up to find herself in his home.

Instead of being angry, she just teases him by biting him and playfully smacking him, “You’re crazy! Why can’t you be like other people and just invite me to your home?”

Ummm….Okay! That’s all? I would have punched the dude! If I was Linin, I would totally dump his sorry butt. You don’t drug people, especially the girl you love. I was surprise by her response, she made it seem like it was normal.

After waking up, they just spent the day together, enjoying each other’s company. It was kinda weird. If my boyfriend freaking drugs me with a cloth, I will kick his ass and dump him. I mean, when you’re unconscious, you don’t know what he has done to you. How can you trust a man who drugs you? This is all kinds of crazy.

I’m sure he does many thing besides drugging people that deems him crazy, but these were the biggies that I’ve noticed.
