Tik Pholdee is freaking hilarious!

As I was looking for better pictures of Tik at the Praew Sudsapda Awards, I came across Tik Pholdee’s translated into English and Chinese interview with Praew Sudsapda magazine. He’s freaking hilarious. I’m beginning to like him more and more. We have the same view point on life—supporting the environment and practical cars.

Here are some of my favorite parts from the interview. The complete translation can be found at Susa’s Baidu blog.

-

Talking about his old Corolla.

I want to know the way you live your life in each part. I remember I was in your car once, it was Toyota Corolla, and should it be a Mercedes?

I think it depends on personal liking; there is no right or wrong. To use Mercedes is not wrong but I think as long as the car is in good condition and can bring us to the destination we don’t need a new one. Actually, after that I bought new cars but I still like the old one and still driving it. It is a 1994 car and is our home’s first car. Today, if it isn’t running out of gasoline, I would have driven it here. Normally when the car ran out of gas, I will drive into the garage and dad will fill the gas for us, but dad didn’t do it this time, so I can’t drive it here

Do you dare driving that old car to shopping complex?

Yes, krub

You have a dare but don’t you need to have dark tinted windows?

My car’s window tinted no darker than the law limited, just enough to protect the sun light. I am proud to use my old stuff. But I also noticed when driving into hotel’s car park; they allow European cars to park in the front row but my old Corolla got the far back row (laugh)

Didn’t you just show you face to them that this is Tik Jesdaporn?

No krub. I better follow the rule. I understand that it is their jobs. Luxurious hotels want luxurious cars to get along with the image. I’m not going to show them my face, but I used to ask them though, ‘where shall I park krub’ (laugh) I think, um this is because I don’t drive European car.

Talking about newbie actor Mario Maurer.

Do you know Mario?

Yes, krub…Mario in the game that hit things with his head right? Hey, although I stay in the jungle, I also know it krub

The reason why he is not doing lakorns. LOL

When will we see Tik in lakorn again?

I am not sure. Actually, it’s my marketing plan when people don’t see me in lakorn, they will watch the Navigator if they missed me

[Nice haircut TIK!]

He won the “Young and Smart” award at the Sudsapda Awards show held at Central World Plaza on November 8, 2008. Tik thanked everyone who voted for him and he was very surprised by the win.

What he told reporters while standing next to Ann Thongprasom.

“I’m very surprised by the award because my last lakorn aired 2 years ago and people are still thinking about me. I’m very happy and would like to thank everyone who have not forgotten me.”

You two have never worked together.

Ann and Tik: “That’s correct.”

If you get an opportunity to work together, what kind of script/role would be a good choice?

Tik: “I would have to say a “gok-gik” romantic comedy….with a lot of loves scenes. Something like that, right? (LAUGHS).”

He knows us too well.

Music Help: Da Endorphine song

I extracted the song from ep. 6 of the lakorn “Koo Pbuan Olawon”. I need help identifying the guy singer and the song. Da Endorphine sings after him, I’m not sure whether it’s a duet or two separate songs.

Lyrics from Thailandqa Music forum, translated by Jas_dekdee:

I understand that I have to be alone, time probably can’t keep you by my side.
I understand the word pain and almost dying when you’re not by my side.
The wonderful stories of those days…

* Gone..it’s already gone. Smiles like the past, I just realise that when it’s too late.
My tears flow down and what should I do,
the life I ever had is like as though it’s dead.

Images of us dwells in my mind, are you still happy when we’re not together?
The sky that we sat and gazed at that time, you probably still remember it?
And it has never faded away.

(repeat *)

I want to cry, release my tears,
for she won’t be coming back.
You still have someone that loves you right here, he never leaves.
And you have to walk on ahead, no matter what tomorrow brings.

I want to erase it and let it fade away, but I can’t come to terms with it right now.
But at least I understand, it’s just grieve and I won’t die from it,
and I have to move on with life..once more.

Cry, release your tears,
for she won’t be coming back.
You still have someone that loves you right here, who will never leave.
And you have to walk on ahead, no matter what tomorrow brings.

See…I told you so.
