Botun Greep Sood Tai: Ep 13end *Last 30 min*
I was only able to catch the last 30 minutes of the last episode of “Botun Greep Sood Tai”…let’s just say I’m satisfied. Heck, I’m still smiling after it ended.
Ah-Joo marriage proposal to Ah-Yong is TOO cute, very different from other lakorn proposals. It’s childish and suits their personalities.

Ah-Pong returns to Thailand and goes on bended knee in front of his father to beg for an reconciliation and forgiveness.

His father is deeply touched and takes him back. They have a tearful hug while Ah-La and Ah-Pong’s mother watches on.

At Ah-Joo’s renovated steamed chicken restaurant, Ah-Nan and Ah-Long are complimented by a lady, “look at these two, they’re so lovely, they’re beaming.”
Ah-Jek who was there too interrupts her, “how can they not be? This is what you call happiness and love. You know these two are getting married.”

And they marry.
Ah-Yong is working as a mechanic now or maybe she owns the joint. Her parents make a visit to congratulate her on her success.
Her father: “Ah-Yong, if I had son, I don’t think he would ever be as talented as you.”
And, she smiles back at him because you know, she needed to hear that. Out of Ah-Chang’s 3 daughters, Ah-Yong is the one most effected by Ah-Chang’s belief that a son is better than a daughter.
Then the jokes started rolling in, Ah-Chang teased Ah-Yong about Ah-Joo.
Ah-Chang: “You know Ah-Yong, I will never forgive you if you let a good potential son-in-law like Ah-Joo slip you by.”
Ah-Yong’s mother:‘Yes, I agree. Ah-Yong, a good man like Ah-Joo, his type is hard to come by.”
Ah-Yong looks shyly down, blushed. and told them: “Okay, I’m going to work now.”
All is well at Ah-Joo’s house, his brother Ah-Jiw is still in jail (repaying honorably for his crime) and his eldest brother Ah-Jo is still handicapped but is at peace with his situation.
Ah-Joo’s relationship with his father has also improved, no more belittling.

This scene is so funny, as they are cleaning fruit, Ah-Cheng asked his son Ah-Joo, “so have you discuss marriage with Ah-Yong yet?”
Ah-Joo looks up at his father and exclaims, “Father how can I? With her attitude, I’m scared too.”
“Hey Ah-Joo, you better not let my good daughter-in-law slip you by.”
Ah-Joo visits Ah-Yong at her car repair shop to discuss marriage.
He starts off with, “Hey Ah-Yong, you know what, I think I need to start working on a new novel so that I can save up for a wedding.”
She smiles and ignores him when he asked, “How about it? Will you marry me?”
She smiles again and wipes oil grease on his face.
“Hey this dirty, Ah-Yong” he tells her.
She runs off and he chases around the car she was working on. She goes inside the car to escape him. He goes in there too.
He asked again. “Will you marry me?”
Still no reply. Then he tickles her until she answers “Yes”.
LOL, yep, he tickles her. When she couldn’t bare it anymore, she nods “yes”
After a kiss on the cheek and a hug, the scene ends.
Very cute and funny.
Ah-Joo’s novel, “Botun Greep Sood Tai” is nominated for a literary award.
He wins, of course.
Thanking his parents before he goes on stage to accept his award (Best novel of the Year).
The story concludes with Ah-Joo holding up the literary award with triumph while wifey Ah-Yong watches on.
