Silamanee: Ep. 8 Caps

Wow, one good episode.

Older brother Saibordee has left and servant lady Humnuan is very concern. She fears for Mae Liang’s safety.

Humnuan: Jao Saibordee has he left? My little mistress, why did you make him leave? I think it would be better if he stayed. If there was an issue, we can work together and resolve it quicker.”

Mae Liang:“If he stayed, I would be in chaos. I wouldn’t know when he will quarrel with Pharot again.”

Humnuan:“Just that issue and you will be in chaos?”

Mae Liang:“You know very well that I will never let Pharot Rachasena cross over to Chiangrath to investigate about my identity.”

Humnuan:“So that means that the reason you’re dressing so beautifully is to…”

Mae Liang:“What else is there to hold him back and also get silamanee back.”

Humnuan:”I understand that part but in my heart I can’t help but worry. I’m afraid you won’t be able to handle the task.”

Mae Liang:“Aunt Humnuan, though the person who is sitting in front of you is Mae Liang, but it’s just a mask to disguise the princess of Chiangrath. I will not do anything to tarnish my respectability.”

Humnuan is still concern and Mae Liang had to reassure again.

“Aunt Humnuan, I assure you that everything is just a disguise scheme. Silamanee is so close to us.”

Humnuan:“Why must this be so burdensome?”

Khun Ying Athiti goes and check on Sid. One of the servants told her that Sid was caught in the rain.

Khun Ying Athiti helps Sid dry her hair.

Sid:”You know I can do this myself.”

Khun Ying Athiti:“It’s okay. When you were young, I even braided your hair. Do you remember?”

Sid nods “yes”

Khun Ying Athiti:“You know children, when they have their mothers do their hairs, they are very cute even though I’m not your real mother, it doesn’t matter.”

Sid:“You’re like my real mother anyways. I lost my mother when I was young. Since I can remember, you were the one who has been caring for me.”

Khun Ying Athitit:“Thank you for not hating me.”

Sid:“How can I hate you? You are so good to me.”

Khun Ying Athiti:“Your hair is so beautiful just like….”

Khun Ying Athiti takes a pause and thinks about Nam. Sid’s hair is as beautiful as Nam.

Khun Ying Athiti didn’t want Sid to see her cry, she quickly excuses herself.

Sid, sensing something strange, follows her.

“Are you thinking about your daughter?” Sid asked her.

Khun Ying Athiti doesn’t really answer her.

Sid:“I can remember when I was young, there used to be a little girl who came to see you. Is it the person you are thinking about?”

Khun Ying Athiti:“I’m not good. I have never had time for her when she needed me. At this moment, I don’t know whether she needs me.”

Sid:”Aunty, there is no child in this world that doesn’t need their mother. Even me, I lost my mother when I was very young, but yet I still think about her. I believe that your daughter must think about you too.”

Khun YIng Athiti:“But your mother has never done you wrong, unlike me to my child.”

Sid:“Everyone makes mistakes. You can always start over. I believe that if she knew that you have been thinking so much about her, your daughter will understand you.”

Khun Ying Athiti:“Really?”

Sid:”Yes, really. Aunty, you are the best mother I’ve ever known. Can I hug you?”

They hug.

WOW, Sid is very sweet. She is mature beyond her years.

Back at the outskirt of Chiangrath with Pharot and Mae Liang:

Mae Liang walks out seductively and Pharot is at awe.

Mae Liang gently:”Have you been waiting long?”

Pharot stuttering:“Ah…no..not too long. You’re so beautiful. If you asked me to wait longer, I will wait.”

They stared at each other for like 2 minutes. I’m telling you it felt that way.

Pharot then breaks the silence and asked whether she planned anything special.

Mae Liang:“I just wanted to take care of my special guest. Must there be a special event?”

Damn girl, you’re really working it.

Pharot:“The reason I asked whether this was a special event is because between us there won’t be just one special event, there will be many.”

The dancers come out and music starts playing.

During the preformance, she eyes him evilly. HAHA.

She pours him a drugged alcholic drink. He becomes drunk.

She brings out her harp to play for him. He takes a drink and passes out.

He wakes up to find Mae Liang wiping his face wtih a wet towel.

Pharot:“You don’t have to do this for me. Thank you very much.”

Mae Liang:“To wipe the body, it will help sober you up.”

He takes her hand.

Pharot:“Your firm hands caring for me like this, I’m no longer drunk. Do you know that you’re gentle, tender, and very beautiful. Since I was born, I have never met anyone who has made my heart beat so fast. I want to be near you like this and never part from you” —YUCK! Can yo be more corny?!!

They were about to kiss, but she looked away and walked to the window.

Pharot:“Mae Liang, you don’t like me anymore?”

Mae Liang:”It’s not like that, it just seems that you are hiding something from me. You told me that you have something with you, but don’t want other people to know. Do you think you can trust me enough to show it to me?”

He agrees and shows her the silamanee.

Pharot:”This is what they call something that has value. They call it Silamanee.”

He watches her look at it and then blurts out.

“It’s not mine.”

“It’s not yours?” -Mae Liang

Pharot:“Well, it’s a long story and it’s not okay to tell it. I just wanted you to know that something this valuable is not mine.”

Mae Liang:“Well… if it was yours, what would you do with it?”

Pharot:“If silamanee was mine, I would not keep it laying around, I would give it to a woman that is special to me.”

Mae Liang:“Really? If this valuable item was yours, you will use it to persuade trust.”

He goes in to kiss her and Nam’s face appears in front of him. He freaks out and falls back into the bed.

When she asked whether everything was alright, he lies and said that he was fine.

He then asked her whether he could be alone.

She marches out.

Alone in his room, Pharot asked himself why he was thinking about Nam.

“Nam Saengluang, that can’t be. Why am I think about you?”–Umm…because you like her. HAHA.

Alone in her room, Mae Liang tells servant lady Humnuan that Pharot rejected her.

Humnuan is shocked.

“How can that be? Earlier he was entice by you and I thought you were going to lose yourself to him.”

Mae Liang:“I don’t know, but it just seems like he was thinking about someone else.”

Humnuan:“WHO? Or Maybe he already has someone he loves.”

Mae Liang:“I don’t know.”

Humnuan:“If he already has a lover, then this plan won’t work.”

Mae Liang:“I don’t know. Aunt Humnuan, I want to be alone.”

Dude, her ego was totally bruised.

The next day, Pharot packs up his things to go home. At this time, Mae Liang is in her room talking about the issue with Humnuan. She still can’t believe what happened last night. Humnuan asked Mae Liang whether she read Pharot wronged, she doesn’t think so.

“I don’t think I read that person wrong. I think he might be regretful that he might lose silamanee or maybe he wants to use silamanee to negotiate with Chiangrath. I underestimated him.”

Humnuan tries to assure her that she did nothing wrong.

Mae Liang:“I did do something wrong. I have wronged my father’s hope and the citizens of Chiangrath by not making it come true.”—-In a way, Nam/Mae Liang has a warped up sense of reality.

Pharot bids Mae Liang good bye. Before he leaves, Pharot apologizes for last night.

Mae Liang:“It’s alright. When people are drunk, they are like this.”

They really oddly say good bye to each other.

Before returning to Bangkok, he makes another unsuccessful attempt to cross over to Chiangrath. The border patrol refuses to let him cross.

When Nam returns to Bangkok, her driver gives her Khun Ying Athiti’s letter and the anklet.

Nam reads her mother’s letter.

“Nam, my child, the anklet that I have sent you I have prepared it for many years but I’ve never had the opportunity to give it to you. I know giving it to you today is too late but I wanted to give it to you to show you my feelings, that I have been thinking of you always. I have never forgotten you. I know that I have done you wrong in the past. I’ve made you disappointed, I’m regretful. To this day, I am still regretful of the past that can’t be change. If time can be turned back, I want to change many things. I want to be a mother to you. I want to care for you, give you what you want. Even the little things…I want to watch you grow up. I want to do more things for you. Nam, I’m afraid to ask for your forgiveness. However, if you were able to understand me just a little, I just want you to give me another chance to be a mother to you. Just one chance, my child.

Sincerely your mother.”

Nam looks at her mother’s gift. It’s a baby anklet. She cries excessively.

Nam’s voice over:

“No, I will never forgive the person who has hurt my father. There will never be a day when I forgive.”

When Humnuan comes in with a drink, she gives Humnuan the gift and asked her to go sell it. She should donate the earnings to a children’s charity.

Damn girl, that was kinda cold-hearted.

Humnuan feels the same way as I do and advises Nam to forget the past. It’s been many years now. Sometimes people must give in and forgive, she advises Nam.

Nam didn’t really listen to her, Nam even plans to take revenge on her mother.

The next day, Nam meets up with her stalker, Chalee.

She tries to brush him off but he wasn’t really getting the hint.

Nam’s classmate Flight interrupts their conversation and tells Nam that one of their projects has been pushed to an earlier date. It’s due in 2 days.

Chalee calls Sid to excuse himself from work. He wants to help Nam finish the work. He begs Sid to help him out, to cover for him.

Chalee:“Just say my family had an emergency. Once I finished helping Nam, I’ll call you to see what else I can do for you. Please Sid. It’s only you who can help me.”

She agrees though she is pissed and disappointed.

After the phone call from Chalee, their work coordinator guy comes to see Sid. Everyone else is done with their work but Chalee and he is not even here.

Sid lies for Chalee and tells him that Chalee has just called and had a emergency.

The work coordinator becomes a little annoyed.

“He is calling off again? Though he does a good job, tell him don’t mess around. If the work that I asked for is not ready in time, I will not pass it.”

In order to tag along with Nam, Chalee lies that his agency is closed for the day. It’s the birthday of the agency owner. What the hell. That is like the dumbest lie ever. Do owners of a major company do that?

Awww…Sid works on Chalee’s part of the project.

One of her friends comes over to check out what she is doing. Sid lies that she is just correcting her project.

Her friend comes over beside her and touches her arm. She wanted to pull her away from the computer so that they can go to lunch together. Once the friend touched Sid’s arm, she notices that Sid is very hot like she has a fever.

Sid lies again saying that she is fine. The friend leaves to go eat lunch.

Pharot went to lunch with his friend Sek, after lunch Pharot decides to go pick up Chalee at work.

Back with Sid, her condition worsen and she nearly faints.

Her friends and the work coordinator guy decide to take her to the hospital. One of her friends also noticed that she was working on Chalee’s project. Tsk. Tsk. Someone is going to get in trouble.

When Pharot arrives at Chalee’s work agency he learns that his brother skipped work and Pharot also gets a verbal lashing from the work coordinator guy and informed about Sid’s condition.

Pharot goes to the campus to hunt down Chalee. He is pissed when he finds Chalee with Nam.

“I knew you would be here.”

Chalee:“Pharot, what are doing here?”

Pharot angrily:“I should be asking you, why did you skip your internship to see this girl.”

Nam is dumbfounded:”Chalee, I thought the agency closed.”

Pharot:“Close for just him that’s what (Looks at Nam) Don’t tell me you didn’t know that he skipped work for you.”

Chalee:”I didn’t throw away my work. It’s my work, I will handle it. You don’t need to interfere.”

Pharot:”True, you can throw away away because you have someone else do it for you, now she is sick. Know this, the reason you are fine at work is because Sid has been covering for you. She is done your work and found herself sick in the hospital.”

Chalee:What are you talking about?”

Pharot:“The truth! If I didn’t go see you at your agency, I probably wouldn’t know that someone was in distress because of you.”

Chalee, Nam, and Pharot decide to visit Sid at the hospital together.

Chalee goes in to Sid’s hospital room and Pharot tells Nam not to follow.

Pharot:“I think it would be better if you didn’t go in. It would be worst for Sid. Sid was willing to lose her pride and do everything for Chalee, just like Chalee for you. So can you guess how she feels about Chalee? If you want to go in, it’s up to you.”

Chalee goes in to see Sid.

Pharot and Nam wait for him outside in the gazebo. During their wait, Pharot carefully looks at Nam to look for any resemblance to Mae Liang. She yells at him to stop staring. HAHA.

Pharot:“I’m not staring, I was just thinking that you’re very calm to the point where it garners respect.”

Nam:What is there to be distress about?”

Pharot:“Usually when girls see their boyfriends with another woman privately, none of them can endure it.”

Nam:“Me and Chalee, we’re just friends, not like what you’re saying.’

Pharot:“Just friends? We should try it something like that.”

Nam feels insulted and stands up,

“Like what, you better watch what you say.”

Pharot:“Like being close, doing favors for one another that would make other people who are seeing each other feel embarrassed. “

Nam:“Hey you, stop insulting me. If you continue to talk down on me, I have nothing else to say to you.”

Nam walks off.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH….I love this scene. Chalee finally learns that Sid likes him. He is shocked.

When he goes in to see Sid, he asked whether she was doing work for him and whether that made her ill.

She lies saying that she got caught in the rain and that is why she has a fever, not because she was stressed from working on his project.

She also apologizes for not telling him that she was doing his work. —Oy fudge, why are you apologizing?

Then one of her friends comes in and yells at Chalee and Sid.

Friend:Why are you apologizing to him?”

Sid:”Blot, calm now, it’s not an issue to be angry about.”

Friend:”Well I’m angry because my friend collapsed and had to be brought to the hospital because she was earnestly doing work for a certain someone, who spent his hours caring for another person.” --YOU GO GIRL, I LIKE HER.

Chalee:“Hold up, I didn’t know that she was doing my work. If I knew, I would not let her be in this impoverish state.”

Friend:You didn’t know, don’t you think that is a little easy, Chalee? Do you know how much your not knowing has hurt and caused Sid pain.”

Chalee:“Hurt and Pain? What does that mean?”

Sid looks at her friend and yells at her: “Lets stop this now. Chalee, don’t think too much about what she said, she is just angry, she is just talking about my illness.”

Th friend corrects Sid:

“Sid, whatever you are thinking, just say it. How long are you going to keep silent? How long will you endure him talking about Nam Saengluang every hour like this. Do you really feel easy about this? (Drops Sid’s food tray on the table) I have done my friend duty! I’m leaving now.”

—Sid’s friend rocks!!!!

Chalee:“Sid, do you really think about me like that?”

Sid doesn’t answer him.

HOLY SHIT!!!!!

Oh my god, Heart Attack!!! HOLY SHIT AGAIN.

Pharot continues to bug Nam at the hospital. HAHA.

He tracks her down near a hospital bench, he brings her a bottle of water. When she doesn’t say anything about the water, Pharot asked her:

“Hey…in terms of manners when you give someone a gift, are they suppose to say anything back?”

Nam:”Well I didn’t know it was for me.”

Pharot:”I’m giving it to you, out of manners you know, seeing that we came together.”

Nam:Since that is the case, I will refuse to accept it. I don’t like people to do things for me because of manners.”

Pharot:I guess that is right because I’m not Chalee. Everything that I do never pleases you anyways.”

Nam:If you want to be Chalee, you can never be him because you’re not sincere like him.”

Pharot:”Don’t just say that I’m not sincere, what about you, do you have more than me? In terms of sincerity, you don’t suit well with Chalee too. Someone like you suit someone who is not sincere like ME.”

Nam is pissed by his words and stands up

Nam:“If I’m only suited for you, I choose die alone. It would better.”

Pharot:“You speak so tough”

Nam challenges him back:“What you gonna do about it?”

Damn! They are so childish. I love them.

Before they can get physical with crazy bitch slaps. Chalee interrupts them.

Chalee tells Nam that Sid likes him and he didn’t even know it.

Nam encourages him to try it out with Sid. Chalee tells her not to talk like that. EWWWW..dude don’t you get the hint, she doesn’t like you like that.

From afar, Pharot sees them holding hands; he gave a look of disappointment and hurt.– Awww…Pharot, Nam is better than Mae Liang, HUH?

At home, Pharot tries to convince Chalee to consider Sid as a girlfriend.

Chalee:“If Sid is good and she likes you, then you love her back. Love can’t be forced, you’re talking as if you have never loved.”

Pharot:“Why wouldn’t I know, I know more about love than you.”

Chalee challenges him back, “Then who do you love?”

HAHA, Pharot can’t answer his brother.

Chalee:“Have you ever loved someone sincerely? What about it? I guess that means “NO”. If you have never loved, don’t talk about love with me.”

Their mother overhears them and yells at them. Their mother also yells at Chalee for skipping work and asked why Sid was in the hospital. She suspect it’s Nam’s doing.

Khun Ying Samerjai:”I’m never wrong, she is making you lose your future.”

Alone in his room, Pharot stresses about his brother and Nam. Pharot has a dilemma, he has fallen for Nam. HAHA.

Khun Ying Athiti gets a letter from Nam.

“I have gotten your anklet, I would like greatly thank you for it. It appears that you have been thinking about your past as one of my subjects to which you felt the need to give me a gift. I would like to thank you for your kindness. To pay you back, I have listed everything that is yours when you were my subject. Everything includes things you did not take with you from Chiangrath and a party dress for one of our parties that you never came to. If you would like anything else, I will have the Chiangrath court send it to you immediately so that can help you remember that you were once a subject of the princess Saengfarng.”

—-My translation is kinda choppy and rather confusing, I know. Pretty much she was insulting her mother by calling her a leecher and a no good opportunist.

After reading the later, Khun Ying Athiti asked,

“My child, how can you say that about me?”

She cries and thinks about the past.

When she was the Queen of Chiangrath, she was a total biatch.

If she didn’t like something, she would do it. She showed no one respect.

Pope discusses the Nam and Chalee issue with his gf Isaree. Pope empathizes with Chalee because he understands that love is more powerful than what the adults think.

Pope and Isaree are too cute.

Khun Ying Athiti visits Nam.

Nam doesn’t even call her mother, MOM. She calls her by her title: Khun Ying Athiti. Aw!! Dude!

Khun Ying Athiti:“That is fine. At least you are saying my name, better than before.”

Khun Ying Athiti is referring back to the last time they met, Nam pretended like she didn’t know Khun Ying Athiti and walked off.

Khun Ying Athiti asked about the letter.

“What do you mean by this?”

Nam insults her:“I wrote it in Thai, I thought you would understand it well.”

Khun Ying Athiti:’I can read it, but I don’t understand why the anklet I gave you is considered a royal gift. The anklet that I gave you, I have prepared it for you for many years but have never had the opportunity..”

Nam:“Then I would like to ask you one thing, the things that a mother are suppose to give to their child is it gold or money or is it love and encouragement?”

Khun Ying Athiti:“I know that is why I’m standing in front of you. The things in the past, it’s true that I can’t go back and correct them, but today we are able to see each other again. Can’t you give me one more chance?”

Khun Ying Athiti slowly approaches her and Nam backs way slowly in response.

Nam:“That child named Nam is no longer here today. Today there is only Princess Saengfarng, who grew up only being raised by the Great Father King Saengluang.”

Khun Ying Athiti:“Are never not going to forgive me? Just a little? How can you be so stubborn? When you do this, are you happy? “

Nam:”I’m very happy. The truth is you don’t need to feel hurt, you should be happy that you don’t have anymore baggage.”

Wow Chica, that was pretty harsh.

Nam abruptly excuses herself and walks off. DUDE.

While talking to Humnuan in her room, Nam still refuses to forgive her mother.

“I will never forget the person who has hurt my father.”

Finally alone, Nam cries excessively.

Thanks for the summary! I don’t know, but I have this love/hate relationship with Nam. One minute I like her and the next I’m kind of annoyed by her. Her arrogance annoys me at times, but her being headstrong is an awesome characteristic trait that I like. I think I’m mean like Nam because if my mom left me when I was little I don’t think I’ll easily forgive her. Maybe one day or never. haha

Oh Wow…This part is very touching! Well, I mean If I am a mother of someone, I would raise them no matter what circumstances are. But I guess everyone is different, so I can’t blame anyone! Anyway, great lakorn in my opinion! Can’t wait for tomorrow!

    Tharak Says:

I think I agree with omfg coz it’s not that easy to forgive. She left her for more than 20 years and one day she just showed up and asked for forgiveness. I Nam forgive her right away, then it would be too easy and the storyline would end with no meaning. I think she will forgive her mom pretty soon, but She just needs a little more time. And the storyline can go on with excitement and tears! When the day she forgive her mom, that would be more touching that way, then forgiving right away!

    Tharak Says:

I also agree with Sai coz I would never leaved my kids. I rather die for them instead. Well, it’s also hard to blame but that is just me!

Kob looks beautiful as MaeLiang…in the traditional garb…and i think she’s so harsh to her mom because she was taught all her life by her father that royalty should not should their feelings, emotions (tears) to others….that’s why her father let her mother go no matter how much it hurt him…
