God, Pharot is freaking funny! I love this dude!

Pharot is a dork!

Nam is in one of her social study classes. The topic is communism.  As she is answering a question from the professor, she sees Pharot peeking in making funny faces at her. He signals her to come out, he wants a chat. She feels uneasy but continues to answer the question.

As the the class continues and Nam refusing to come out, Pharot takes matters into his own hands. He walks into the classroom, apologizes to the social study professor and asked whether Nam can come out for a few seconds.

Everyone looks at Nam. She glares at Pharot and sorta mumbles “you’re freaking dead Pharot Rachasena”.

Nam is absolutely embarrassed but follows him outside.

In the hallway conversation:

Nam angrily:”How can you do this? This is my academic time.”

Pharot playfully:“Come on, I had my reasons, if it wasn’t important, I wouldn’t have done it. Really, it’s important. If we can agree today, you don’t have to see me ever again.”

Nam:“You always say that.”

Pharot:”True, but today is not the same. Today, I must be able to talk to you.”

Nam:“Nonetheless, I don’t want to talk to you. You can go  now.”

Pharot challenging her:“If you don’t talk to me today, I will follow you back into the classroom and sit next to you too. Let see if you have the concentration pay attention.If they pull me out, I will wait for you outside the classroom and see how long you can hide from me. if…”

Nam:“That’s enough, you can stop talking now.”

Pharot:’What? Can we talk nicely to each other or do we have to make the other person be in distress.”

Nam:“In about 10 minutes, the class will be over. We can talk then.”

She walks away

Pharot shouts out.

“See, that’s all I wanted.”

Khun Ying Athiti is alone at her house and thinks about the past.

The day she left Chiangrath, she wanted to take Nam with her. She tried to negotiate a deal with her then- husband King Saengluang to take both Nam and the silamanee along.

Khun Athiti:“I want to trade the silamanee for Nam”

[King Saengluang orders Humnuan to give Nam to Khun Ahiti]

Holding Nam, she tells her:
“When you grow you, you will understand me completely and know how the people of Chiangrath have disrespected me. Please husband, let me have her.”

King Saengluang:“Athiti, you have a new lover, you will remarry. You might have more children. Why do you want Saengfarng?”

Khun Athiti:“But she is my child.”

King Saengluang:“It will be difficult and chaotic. I think you need to think about this more carefully.”

Khun Athiti:“I can handle it. I can’t give in. Your people are to cruel to me. I will never give in. Since Saengfarng is my child, I want to raise her. A child should live with her mother. Since the silamanee belongs to Saengfarng, she must keep it.”

“What? You want both the Silamanee and Saengfarng.” Saibordee’s mother inserts in disbelief.

King Saengluang:“You only want to do this because you want to triumph over us.”

Khun Athiti:“Yes, that is correct. I refuse to be beaten.”

King Saengluang:“I will give up Silamanee, but I will keep Saengfarng”

Khun Athiti:“If that is what you want.”

King Saengluang:“Athida, Athiti, Saengfarng should have a mother like you.”

[King Saengluang takes Saengfarng away from Khun Athiti and orders the guards to come in]

“You don’t need too, stay put” Khun Athiti shouts at them.

“You have no right to ever touch my body ever again” Khun Athiti continues.

[She takes off the Silamanee and gives it back to King Saengluang]

King Saengluang:“You knew very well that Silamanee is a very important property  for the princess of Chiangrath, but you wanted to take that away from our child. When they say that Saengfarng should NOT have a mother like, it’s very true. Athiti, I will sent Saengfarng to see you in Thailand when the time is right. Now if you don’t want our child, it’s okay. When that day comes, don’t make our child not want you.”

—Back  to the present, Khun Athiti says,
“Please forgive me, my child. “

Back with Pharot and Nam at the campus, Nam does not keep her word. She runs way from Pharot and tries to pick up a cab.

He catches her in time and they fight near the the cab. The cab driver thinks that they are quarreling lovers.

Cab driver:“ What’s wrong with you two. Right now you’re just dating, if you guys ever get marry, I don’t think you’re going to make it.”

In unison,Pharot and Nam corrects him, ” No…No….that’s not true. WE’RE NOT DATING.”

Pharot gives the cab driver some money and apologizes for wasting his time.

Cab Driver thanks him and says, ” May your love last a long time.”

At this point, everyone is staring at them. Nam feeling a little embarrassed and feeling like she has no options, she decides to go with Pharot.

In the car conversation:

Nam politely:“Where are you taking me?”

[He says nothing]

Nam is pissed. “Hey Pharot, since I have agreed to come out with you, I think that is much Where else are you taking me?”

Pharot:“Our discussion will be very important, we must discuss it until we understand each other.”

Nam:”We can talk anywhere and understand each other. Why do you….why do you have to take me out this far?”

[scary music starts playing]

Nam:”Stop the car right now, I’m getting out.

Pharot:“Go ahead, if you want to die, then just get out.”

Nam:“To die is better than being with you.”

Pharot:“I don’t think a person like you will die, your head is hard as a diamond. If you fall out, you’ll be fine.”

Nam:“Hey you!”

Pharot:“Just listen to me. Just sit here quietly and calmly. Don’t cause a disturbance. Thus, we can quickly discuss the issue and quickly return.”

[Nam listens to him and remains quiet through out the whole ride]

—They reached their destination. It is the Rachasena’s vacation house near the ocean, Pharot’s important thinking spot.

Pharot:”This is my family’s vacation house. When I was younger, my father would take myself, P’Pope, and Chalee here quite often. Now, we rarely come here.’

Nam:“For just a discussion, why must we come here?”

Pharot:“Whenever I have to think about or make a decision about something important, I come here.”

[Pharot invites her to go inside to talk, she does not want to. They talk outside.]

The conversation:

Nam:“Khun Pharot, what  is the important discussion?”

Pharot:“Oh I see, you want to quickly discuss it, so that you don’t have to be with me.”

Nam:“Just tell me your important discussion.”

Pharot:”What are your plans for the future.”

[She gives him an evil glare]

Pharot:“Did you want to quickly discuss this?”

Nam:”I want to finish school. I want to take back what I learned to Chiangrath.”

Pharot:“I figured you would say that. One day you will leave.”

Nam:“Hey, why did you ask that question, how does that question relate to your important discussion?”

Pharot:“I want to tell that your dreams can go further. I know that you are a scholarship student. You are a very good student. I think that a bachelor degree for you will not be enough. Will you interested if I was to be your benefactor, I will take care of everything after you graduate. You can go study abroad, you can choose any country. However, it can’t be Thailand. I will pay for everything and  you must leave immediately after you graduate from here.”

—Pretty much, he is trying to separate Nam and Chalee by all means possible.

Nam felt insulted by his gesture and told him he couldn’t buy her.

She tries to leave and he tried to hold her back.

She pushed him away.

“I shouldn’t have wasted my time coming here.” She repeats.

Since she didn’t agree, Pharot drags her into the house. He locks the windows and doors. OH my! HAHA.

Pharot:”If you agreed to talk to me nicely, I wouldn’t have to do this.”

Nam:“I have nothing to say to you.”

Pharot:“Do you think I want to discuss this issue with you? Do you know this issue has caused me….I figured this would be the best situation for you and Chalee.”

Nam corrects him:“And also Khun Ying Samerjai, who is able to pull a impoverish girl named Nam Saengfarng away from her son by means of paying her off with money. Though you say it is a scholarship, it’s not gonna make it better because what you are doing is buying people off with money. In the end, you revealed your true self. You’re a deceiver, you’re prejudice against people who are poor.”

Pharot:”Then what do you want me to do? I didn’t want to do this. If I don’t do this,what else is there to do to secure my brother’s future? The more you see Chalee, the worst he is off. Are you happy now that I have said it?”

[Nam slapped him. HAHA]

Nam:“You’re the most despicable person I have ever met. You say I have worsen your brother’s life. Then what about you, have you ever examine  your family, what they have done to him. You forbid him, you coerce him about everything, even the issue of love.”

Pharot:“What we have done, it’s because we are concern about Chalee. I might not be right. If Chalee was your brother and can you bare to watch him, to see your younger brother lose himself to a woman and never be able to return. Or can you assure me that it won’t happen.”

[Pharot leaves. He locks the door behind him, trapping her inside the house.]

Outside, Pharot thinks about Nam and Mae Liang and how similar they are.

Back inside the house, Nam finds a way out. WINDOW! When Pharot comes to check on her, she finds the window open.

As she is fleeing Pharot, Nam stupidly asked directions from two beach bums.

They give her directions and later follow her.

They tried to capture her and rape her.

Pharot catches up to Nam in time and fights with the beach bums.

One of them slashed Pharot’s arm with a small knife but Pharot was still able to find them off.

Back in Bangkok, Nam’s servants are worried sick about her. No phone call, no nothing, they panic.

At Pharot’s house, Khun Ying Samerjai and everyone else is also worried. Pharot hasn’t come home and didn’t call. They think the worst because Pharot always called the house if he was coming home late.

Funny scene, Nam and Pharot play nice.

It’s the evening now, they decide not to go back to Bangkok because of Pharot’s injury. My god, it’s just a cut! HAHA.

So Nam is applying medicine on Pharot’s minor cut, Pharot freaks out before she puts the medicine on.

He screams and she was like,“I didn’t even put the medicine on.”

He was like: “Oh, but I felt a sense of pain.”

She gives him a strange look and he tell hers, “Oh it must be because of you—your face when you looked at the wound.”

Nam:“MY face is grumpy? Hey, my face has been like this since forever.”

Pharot:“really, I thought it became this way when you met me. Okay, I won’t say anything else.”

Haha, in this scene he called her the most grumpy faced nurse in the whole world.

Insulted, she patted his wound. HAHA. He screams in pain.

“Are you crazy or something.” He screams and asked.

“Well the bandage was coming off.” She tells him.

Pharot:“Hey, I think it is not coming off, it is more like it is ripping.”

Awww….sweet moment between Nam and Pharot.

Pharot starts off the conversation by apologizing to her and asked whether she wanted to go home. Nam tells him it was alright and she can stay. It’s getting late anyways.

Pharot is deeply in shock by her kindness and concern over him.

Pharot:“Nam Saengfarng? Did you receive a blow to the head or something. Usually you will yell at me like this…ZZZZZZZ”

Nam:“Though I’m stuck here because of you, but you did save my life. Lets just say we are even now.”

Because they had no food, they drank milk together. After a sip of milk, Pharot’s stomach growled really loudly, it made Nam smiled.

Nam:“Your stomach growled.”

Pharot:“I didn’t hear anything. It’s the sound of the wind.” —Pharot is a dork.

That night, Pharot slept in the living room and Nam slept in the main room.

When she went out to use the phone in the living room, she saw Pharot sleeping without a blanket on the couch. He was shivering. Awww..she brought him a blanket and covered him with it.

She thought he was sleeping. HAHA. She thought wrong, he wasn’t.

The next day, he drops off somewhere because she didn’t want him to see her house.

She lied, claiming she was too embarrassed to show him.

HAHA…Pharot is a dork. When he goes home, his mother interrogates him about last night. He makes up crazy lies to cover up.

Khun Ying Samerjai:“I’m still suspicious, where did you all night and return with a wound….hmm? What happened to you.”

Pharot:“HMMMMMMMMMMM….I……….hmmmmm.”

Khun Ying Samerjai:”What, you can’t remember?”

Pharot:“Well…my friend…my friend asked me to help him out…he is a businessman that works with many countries…and he had to contact a lot of clients….and then…unexpectedly….ahhhhh….the hours don’t  match up….you know the hours between Thailand and other countries….ummm….we had to work all night…it was very busy and I didn’t have time to call you mother.”

Khun Ying Samerjai:“Then, what about the wound?”

Pharot:“Well….The wound…umm…the house is being redecorated and I was being careless and found myself with a wound (coughs uncomfortably)”

Khun Ying Samerjai:”You went to a friend’s house? All night? Who is this person? Do I know this person? What kind of work is this person in? Is it a woman or a man?”

Pharot:“Well…it would have to be a man, mom. How could  I stay overnight with a woman?”

His mother believes him. WHAT THE FUDGE! Pharot is a grown man, but he can’t do anything unless he asked his mother first.

After their mother leaves, Pope gives Pharot a funny look.

Pope:“So are you going to tell me the truth”

Pharot stares at him back and says nothing.

At Nam’s house, everyone is worried too.

Nam informs Humnuan that she stayed with Pharot all night, but they didn’t do anything.

Chalee is being a good boy at the agency as Sid is in the hospital. He is doing his own work and even doing Sid’s work.

Everyone is pleased with him.

Sid’s friend informs her about Chalee’s transformation.

The friend looks at Sid weirdly to see her reaction to the news.

Sid:“Stop staring at me, I don’t think like that about Chalee anymore. Really. A person who doesn’t love us, what is the point of continuing to love them. Soon someone will come and court me and I will completely forget about Chalee, just you watch.”

Khun Ying Athiti interrupts them. The friend leaves and Khun Ying Athiti cuts fruits for Sid to eat.

As she is pealing an apple, Khun Ying Athiti cuts herself.

Khun Ying Athiti:”It was because I was staring at you and not paying attention.”

Sid:“Are you thinking about your daughter again.”

Khun Ying Athiti breaks down.

“Sid, my daughter doesn’t need me anymore. I want to do something for her but it doesn’t mean that I’m trying to compensate for when I abandoned her. I just wanted her to know how much I love her, but I couldn’t even do that. Khun Sid, why must it be like this?”

Sid:“I still believe that you’re a good mother. I even want you to be my real mother.”

Awww…their scenes are always tender.

Sek visits Mae Liang to learn more about Pharot’s trip with her to Chiangrath. She tells him little.

Then Chalee calls her to interrogate her about her whereabouts earlier. Dude is really obsessed with her.

Pharot is depressed and confuse about Nam, he drinks himself silly.

His friend Sek watches him with concern.

During his drunken stupor he mumbles, “I have hurt someone.”

Sek thinks he hurt Mae Liang.

Pharot:“It’s not Mae Liang. It’s that woman.”

Sek is confuse and Pharot passes out.

Chalee surprise Nam with a floating lantern garden.

Chalee:”I saw you were tired today like you had something on your mind, so I thought you were depressed and feeling homesick. I heard that in the north, they have a tradition of floating a lantern to wish for good fortune. So I wanted you to float this balloon lantern and wish for something. It might make you feel better. It might not be as beautiful as the one in your homeland, I  tried my best to match it. Lets float away our burdens and say our good fortunes.”

Seeing his sincerity and earnest to please her, she decides to break up with him.

Nam:”I can’t accept your good intentions. The truth is, the reason I agreed to meet up with you today is because….from this day on, we shouldn’t see each other anymore.”

Chalee can’t believe it. He thinks that someone at his house is coercing her. She tells him “No.”

Nam:”I’ve thought about it. if we continue to see each other, it will cause  damage to our lives.”

Chalee:“I don’t understand. This is crazy.”

Nam:“Listen to me carefully, soon, I must return to Chiangrath. I must take all that I have learned to build Chiangrath. For that reason the time that I spend here, I want to use it purposefully. I don’t want to waste time with other issues.”

Chalee:“That means I have distracted you. If I have done anything wrong, please give me the opportunity to fix it. Please don’t do this to me.”

Nam:“Soon or later, we will separate.”

Chalee:“That’s not right. People who love each other, they can always talk to each other. I have never thought about separating from you. Whether you are in Chiangrath or anywhere…”

Nam interrupts him,

“But I DON’T LOVE YOU! Can you remember when I said that you spoke of love too early, you still don’t understand. From this point on, don’t come and see me anymore. If you do or follow me around, I might change and hate you. “

As she walking away, she apologizes to him.

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry Chalee. I’m really sorry.”

Depressed, Chalee sorta runs away. Pharot and his mother are extremely worried.

Pharot tracks down Nam on campus to find out Chalee whereabouts. Pharot claims that Nam knows where he went.

Nam informs him that she has completely broken off with Chalee.

Ding, Pharot now understands why Chalee can’t be found. He begs Nam to help him find Chalee. She does.

Nam finds Chalee on campus.

Chalee thinks that Nam wants him back.

As they are chatting, Pharot interrupts them.

Chalee:“Pee Pharot what are you doing here? OH! I understand now, that is why Nam said those things  to me.”

Nam tries to calm him down. “Chalee, it’s not like that.”

Pharot corrects her:“It is like that. It is my handy work. It’s me who has made Nam reject you.”

Chalee:”Why have you done this? Didn’t I tell you and mom that there is nothing you can do to make me not love NAM.”

[Chalee gives Pharot a good punch in the face and Pharot falls over. Nam holds Chalee back.]

Pharot:“I accept that I made Nam break up with you. I also want you to know, this is not mom’s order. The truth is that ME and NAM are seeing each other.”

SHOCKER! HAHAH.

Chalee:“What are talking about? Nam can’t even stand your face.”

Pharot:“Think about this carefully, we go a lot of places together.”

Chalee:“But Nam said it was nothing. I believe her. She would never deceive me. Stop insulting her and making her lose face, don’t say I didn’t warn  you. ”

Nam stops him.

“You should stop, he is still your older brother.”

Pharot challenges Chalee

“Go ahead, you can strike me one thousand or 10 thousand times, if that can make you understand that Nam and I are dating.”

Chalee lunge forward to give Pharot a good punch, Nam comes between them.

Nam:“Chalee, our relationship has ended. If you continue to have issues with your brother 10 or a thousand times, it won’t change anything.”

Chalee:”Why Nam, if you weren’t concern about me anymore then why did you contact me?”

Pharot answers for  Nam:
“It was me, who made her call you. At first she didn’t want to tell you the truth, I told her that if she didn’t tell you, you wouldn’t stop daydreaming.”

Chalee:“I don’t believe it. Nam, tell me that it’s not true. If you tell me, you can make him stop saying those things right now.”

Pharot:“That’s right Nam, tell him that we have nothing going on if you want Chalee to continue to see you again. Just tell him that I’m lying.”

Nam gives Pharot a warning look.

Pharot continues:”Didn’t you tell me that you didn’t want to hurt him anymore. You were sincere about him. Just tell him.”

Chalee:”Nam, one word from you and I will believe it. Pharot’s word will mean nothing. Nam, just tell me. It’s not true, right?”

Pharot:“Just tell him if you wish him well, Nam.”

End of epsiode!!!

Will Nam answer “yes” to Pharot that they are dating to get Chalee off her back? Most likely YES.
