I just can’t watch it, it looks too crazy. Hint. Hint. Khun Ying Samerjai is freaking psycho!

I finally got around to it. It’s been a long, tiring ride and FINALLY Silamanee has ended. I have to say that I found the original more enjoyable though it had a crappy “lets hold hands” ending with no wedding scene. First half of Silamanee 2008 remake, I loved. Second half, not so much. I grew tired of the bickering, Nam’s pride, Khun Samerjai’s prejudice, Chalee and his obsessive nature. It became very repetitive and you know I hate repetitive junk. The last few episodes of Silamanee 2008, I wanted to snap my fingers and say, ‘Oy, Oy! Get to the point! Stop prolonging the story!”

Hopefully, I did not offend. I’m not saying I didn’t like it. I feel neutral about it.

I have to say the ending was very well-developed, unlike many other larkons.

Nam refuses to see Pharot that day though she was no longer engage to Prince Gawin, he is still engage to Run. She doesn’t want to hurt Run.

Pharot goes home and finds Run at his house. His mother lies to Run that he is ill. Pharot becomes annoyed by his mother’s pestering manners and decides to break it off with Run right there and then.

Pharot:“Thank you for being concern about me, but I think you need to go home.”

Run is stunned and softly asked, “Why?”

Pharot:“Because I’m not sick, I’m very healthy in every way, nothing like what my mother told you. Most importantly I just got back from seeing Princess Saengfarng, my former fiancee.”

Run baffled:“Why would you go see her?”

Pharot:“Because I love her, I wanted to see her, so I went to her. I want to apologize for involving you in this crazy matter. You can be angry with me, but I can’t marry you.”

Run is stunned and shakes. She starts to cry.

Khun Samerjai tries to console her by saying that Pharot was joking and his illness is making him delirious.–Man, this woman does not know when to stop! Let it go!

Pharot corrects his mother, “I’m not playing around, who can joke regarding this matter. Everything I have said is the truth. I’m sorry. I’m not worthy of you.”

Run glares at him in distress and then gives him a good slap across the face. She wais Khun Samerjai farewell and runs off.

After Run leaves, Khun Samerjai and Pharot argue. Khun Samerjai is livid and doesn’t understand why he has given up on a suitable girl like Run.

Pharot defends himself,

“Ma, I’m sorry, it just can’t be! I don’t love her. To hurt her like this, it’s not right.”

“Righteousness? And this is right what you’re doing to me? I was hoping the best for you. Since that Nam Saengluang girl came into our lives, she has taken everything from me.” Khun Samerjai fires back at him.

Pharot:“Mom, please, I beg of you, please don’t talk about Nam again. I beg you. I will obey you in regards to everything, but I ask for one thing, the issue of my heart. Can’t you understand it? “

Khun Samerjai:“How am I suppose to understand it? To understand that you still love that deceptive girl, there is no way, I will never understand it.”

Khun Samerjai makes her vow and walks off. Pharot stays behind and sighs.

Khun Athiti schemes to get Pharot and Nam to see each other by pretending to be sick. Immediately, Nam rushes to the hospital.

In the room, Nam learns the truth.

Khun Athiti:“Nam, I’m sorry. If I didn’t do this, there would be no other method to prevent you from going back to Chiangrath.”

Nam is baffled.

“Why don’t you want me to go back to Chiangrath?” Nam asked.

Khun Athiti:“There is someone who wants to talk to you.”

Pharot comes in.

Khun Athiti:“I had a reason for doing this. I wanted you to talk to Pharot and reconcile with him. He has broken off the engagement with Run for you. I think if there is anything, you two should talk it out.”

Khun Athiti smiles at Pharot and leaves.

Pharot and Nam went out to the garden area for their chat.

Pharot:“I just found out you were Khun Ying Athiti’s daughter.”

Nam:”That is correct. I am the daughter of Khun Athiti and King Saengluang. I want to apologize for not telling you, but now you know it all and there is nothing else I’m hiding from you. Thus, I have nothing else to disclose.”

Pharot: “In your heart, you have decided to leave for Chiangrath without me, am I right? The letter you have written to me, you have asked me to forgive you. I want to tell you that you don’t need to apologize. Whatever you have done to me, I have never been angry with you or be able to hate you. I only love you more!”

He takes her hand.

Pharot:“Can I ask for one thing? Can I ask for us to talk truthfully with each other.”

Nam agrees and said,

“From this point on, we will only be honest with each other.”

Khun Athiti makes a visit to see Khun Samerjai to beg for approval for Nam and Pharot’s marriage.

At first, Khun Samerjai refuses until Khun Athiti mentions the silamanee. They are willing to betrothed Pharot for Nam using the silamanee. If Khun Samerjai agrees, the silamanee is hers.

That night, Pharot gives his mother a wai and a thank you for accepting his marriage to Nam.

Pharot:“Thank you mom for accepting Nam. I believe that you’re doing this not just for the silamanee, but that you love me and want to see me happy. I’m sorry for disappointing you in the past and I promise that our family will be happy again.”

He tells his mother that he loves her, she doesn’t say much, and leaves.

Pharot before he gives her the ring.

“I would like to thank everyone before I give my fiancee my ring in front of all our elders. Nam, before we were able to reach this moment, we have been through a lot. I promise you that from this day forth there will only be prosperity for us. Nam, I love you!”

Biatch! She stops the engagement just when he was about to slip her the ring.

Khun Samerjai:“Stop! I forbid it. This princess from Chiangrath, lied and deceived us and is not fit to take on the Rachasena last name…Not suitable for my son…for that reason, I do not give permission for this engagement”

Wow, her rejection sent shock waves across the whole room. Khun Samerjai will keep the silamanee because she thinks she deserves it as a payment for Nam’s deception.

Khun Samerjai:“I’m doing this for you. If you choose her, we will no longer be mother and son. If you decide to protect and defend her, you can never call me mother again.”

PSYCHO!!!!!! Gollum has just gone crazy!

Khun Athiti:“I am disappointed in you. One day you will be very sorry for the things that you have done. “

Khun Samerjai:“I don’t care. Whoever comes and deceives the Rachasena lineage, I will not let it go. Remember that!!!”

Pharot’s confrontation with his mother.

Pharot comes to see the despondent Nam at her house.

Pharot:“Please don’t avoid me.”

Pharot pleads with her.

“You two have been through a lot to reach this moment, I want much happiness for you both. Hard or soft, please accept her. I give you my daughter.”

Back at the Rachasena household, Khun Samerjai goes crazy. She throws all of Pharot’s picture frames on the floor and asked Chalee to throw them all away.

She finds herself in a crippling mental state and lands herself in the hospital.

Cute moment between Nam and Pharot and then the call from Chalee, Pharot learns his crazy mother is in the hospital.

They decide to visit her together and give his mother another chance to accept them.

Nam and Pharot visit Khun Samerjai.

She does not accept their flower, she throws it on the ground. HAHA. DAMN!

Chalee tried to calm her down, she refuse to listen.

Khun Samerjai:‘I told you already, I don’t know these people. I don’t want to see their faces again.”

Pharot:“Mom, but I have missed you.”

Nam:“We really wanted to see you, mom.”

Khun Samerjai:” Don’t you ever call me mother. I have never accepted a woman who has manipulated and deceived my son away from me. Chalee, I don’t want to see these people, escort them out. Tell them to leave.”

Hurt, they decide to leave.

Sid, Pharot, Chalee, and Nam discuss the issue in the hallway. Sid advises Nam and Pharot to try again. She won’t be stubborn forever, she will ease up eventually. At this moment, it’s too soon.

Nam cooks for her. Sid doesn’t tell Khun Samerjai who made it, she eats all of it.

Khun Samerjai wakes up,

Nam:“I just wanted to do something for you.”

Khun Samerjai:“Do you honestly think I will forgive you if you do this? I will never forgive you.”

Nam:“I understand that you will not change your mind easily. I’m hoping that one day you will forgive and accept Pharot and I.”

Khun Samerjai become enraged by that comment and yells at Nam. Sid tries to calm Khun Samerjai down and asked Nam to apologize to Khun Samerjai.

Nam in a way refuses.

Khun Samerjai:“Fine! I will not chase you away again. But I would like to tell you that I only have one daughter-in-law and that person is Khun Susie and other people don’t count.”

Nam decides to take Khun Samerjai offer, she will stay at the hospital and care for Khun Samerjai personally. Nam does not care if Khun Samerjai accepts her relationship with Pharot. She just wants to care for the mother of the person she loves.

Biatch! In the room, Khun Samerjai causes hell for Nam. She pushes the hospital table on her and accuses Nam of being clumsy. Nam takes it without complaint and didn’t even blame her.

Nam tells Pharot about what happened and lies to him that she was just clumsy. He doesn’t believe her because she is not a clumsy person.

Nam:“Sometimes we can fail. Please believe me. I think your mother does not want to harm anyone. Possibly if we can choose it, we will not want to harm others.”

Khun Athiti learns about the table pushing “accident’ from Sid, she decides to have a chat with Khun Samerjai about it.

Khun Athiti confronts Khun Samerjai about the accident. Mother cat-fight.

Khun Athiti:“I heard Nam has been caring for you.”

Khun Samerjai:“If you call sitting around doing nothing and disturbing Sid’s responsibilities and hanging around caring for someone, you can call it that.”

Khun Athiti:”Khun Ying, you have every right to speak and the person who is listening has every right to decide for herself whether to believe or not.”

Khun Samerjai:“Oh! Daughter and mother, already they will believe one another.”

Khun Athiti:“Isn’t it the truth that my child is a good person and that is why I must believe her.”

Khun Samerjai:”Khun Ying ka, I thought this visit was to visit me. If you came to talk about your daughter, you have come wrongly.”

She has given you the silamanee and has never thought about claiming it back even though she has every right to. It’s you who does not have the right because you don’t understand the meaning of the silamanee.”

Khun Samerjai:“What meaning?”

Khun Athiti:“Silamanee is not just a betrothed gift, it’s a symbol of love and the people of Chiangrath, a gift given to a person they love, their Princess, a very revered person, a higher person than you.”

Khun Samerjai then accuses the Chiangrathian people of being barbaric and the silamanee should be with her because she is a person of high class.

Khun Athiti:“You insult the silamanee too severely because the Silamanee is Nam’s love, her heart to which your son loves and has promise to be with forever.”

Khun Samerjai could care less because she thinks she is the victor in this ordeal. To have the silamanee it means she triumphed over Nam’s heart and the people of Chiangrath.

Khun Samerjai:“If she wants the silamanee back, she must return my son.”

Pharot barges in at this point, he feels hurt that she is doing this out of spite.

Pharot:“Mom! I have never thought you would think like this. Just this? Just to defeat someone, you have hurt Nam and the heart of the people of Chiangrath. I wrongly thought you were going to give us a chance because Nam was willing to give you everything, not only the silamanee but all the pain she has to endure…..still you didn’t see her value. Fine, you can have it. If you want to be the victor, you have won because me and Nam will never come back her again!!!!!!!!!”

Khun Samerjai accepts it.

“Once you leave with that woman, I will never accept you as my son again.” She shouts at him.

Khun Athiti reminds behind with Khun Samerjai

Khun Athiti:“Do you see now, your desire to defeat everyone has destroyed everything. Congratulation to the person who has won, but has nothing left.”

She leaves and Khun Samerjai tells herself,

“It’s not true, if I have the silamanee, I am the victor! I’m the victor!”

The day they decide to return to Chiangrath, Nam suggest bidding Khun Samerjai a final farewell before departing.

DUDE! Khun Samerjai is freaking nuts.

Khun Samerjai as she is looking at herself in the mirror,

“Who said I have lost everything? I still have silamanee in my hands. Nam Saengluang, you will never defeat me.”

She struggles to breath, panic attack?

Pharot and Nam find her. She pushes them away.

“Don’t touch me.”

Nam stays behind as Pharot calls the ambulance.

Nam:“Mom, please endure.”

Khun Samerjai calls for the silamanee,

‘Silamanee, give me the silamanee, return it to me.”

Nam brings down the silamanee for her.

Nam:“Mom, the silamanee is yours. I don’t plan to claim it back, please believe me. Silamanee is the symbol of my love for Pharot, whether we are together or not. I am satisfied that I was able to love him. I promise not to take Pharot with me. I promise that I will not meet him again. Please believe me.”

She gives Khun Samerjai the silamanee and Khun Samerjai passes out. CRAZY!

She has an immediate heart surgery or some form of surgery and wakes up to find her Pharot near by.

Khun Samerjai:“I thought I would never be able to see you again.”

Pharot:“Mom, you can be angry with me and not forgive me, but I ask that you don’t think much about my issue. I can’t bear to make you like this. Mom, I love you. I’m sorry for being too harsh on you. You can yell or lecture me to whatever extent, I just want to be able to care for you until you are healed. Please.”

Khun Samerjai:“I Love you, Pharot. I love you.”

He kisses her hand.

“You will never abandon me again right. Please don’t abandon me again. Please don’t.” She cries and begs.

In the lobby area, Nam and Pharot talk about his mother. Nam is happy that his mother has given him a chance. To make things better for them both, she decides to leave Pharot and return to Chiangrath alone.

Khun Samerjai finally accepts Nam and Nam has disappeared.

Pharot and his whole family head up North to find Nam.

Khun Samerjai begs for forgiveness. She wants to bow down to them, Khun Athiti forbids her to.

Khun Samerjai:“Please let me do it. It will show the respect of the Rachasena family for the people of Chiangrath. Of the things that have occurred, I feel ashamed, I was wrong to fog the beauty and goodness of the silamanee. To be here today and see the compassion of the people of Chiangrath and the beauty of this country, I don’t know what I can say to encourage you to forgive me.”

She bows to them. Khun Samerjai gives Pharot the silamanee to return to Nam.

Pharot:“If spirits exist, please help in regards to my love.”

Nam finds him praying,

“How did you get here? I have not given permission for you to come here.”

Pharot:“that is correct, you did not give me permission, but you did not forbid my mother.”

Nam is baffled.

Pharot:“ I have been to the borders several times and endure your rejections until my mother asked to come here herself because she thinks that the silamanee must return to its rightful owner. Nam, how can you do this to me? You left for Chiangrath and refused to see me. Do you not love me anymore?”

Nam:“Pharot, I’m sorry. I thought if the silamanee represented our love, it would be enough. However, I could not stop myself from missing you.”

Pharot:“I have missed you too, I will never let you leave me again. I LOVE YOU, NAM SAENGLUANG.”

Nam:“I love you too, Khun Pharot Rachasena.”

HUG!

They walk out and bump into Khun Samerjai, Khun Samerjai apologizes to Nam. All is forgiven! HUG!

The ending epilogue.

Nam:“My father once told me that Silamanee is a symbol of love, if the person who has the silamanee does not have love, it will cause destruction and separation. However, when the person who has the silamanee has love, it will bring him happiness.”–I know crappy translation. HAHA.

Pharot:“Nonetheless, I will have to thank the silamanee for bringing me to you. Even if it started out as revenge and misunderstanding, when you willing to give up the silamanee, it made me realized what true love is like.”

Side hug and THE END!!!! WOW, it’s the end!!!!
