It’s been 5 years and still Khun Sumon has not gotten over her son’s death, Phu tries to make things better by recruiting the help of Neena and mother, who takes Khun Sumon shopping, kinda a girls day out. While Neena and her obnoxious mother enjoy themselves and Khun Sumon is not quite there, she is distant.

When Neena takes them to a jewelry shop and tries on a diamond ring, she asked Khun Sumon whether it looked good on her. Khun Sumon doesn’t take notice and simply nods to agree. They took it as a compliment—hey kiwis, she didn’t even turn around and look at it, how would she know it look good on you?

Cunningly, Nuan asked whether Khun Sumon would buy it for Neena since she did think it looked great on her. Without hesitation, Khun Sumon pulls out her Visa and the two ladies scream with joy. DUDE, can you make it more obvious, you greedy kiwis. I really don’t like those two, they are taking advantage of a very depressed woman without remorse or hesitation. Ladies, have you no shame? Whatever. I’m tired of them. I hope they have their legs broken by the end of the series. Of course that won’t happen.

The shopping spree continued, Neena and her mother go into every store and us Khun Sumon’s Visa to purchase every item. Somewhat not in the mood anymore, Khun Sumon let the ladies shop on without her. She sits on a bench and takes out a picture time piece, in it is a picture of Prawat. She weeps.

Dum, dum dummmm…. insert dramatic music and also do the zoom in face reaction, Phubordee learns Oranee is dead and she died after giving birth to her son. Of course Phubordee is shock and he also learns that Oranee and her family moved up North to the province of Mae Hong Song. He is very interested.

Finally we meet little Azn Harry Potter aka Toonkla, Oranee’s son. He is a precocious little bugger, really he is. He is suppose to be 5 years old, but he can be mistaken for a 10 year old. Seriously.

Oranicha loves him dearly and is very protective of him just like she was to his mother.

Back with Phubordee, he gets a call from Nuan that his mother has disappeared, they lost track of her 2-3 hours ago. Way to go ladies. I swear to golly I find them so annoying. Phubordee rushes out to look for his mother, he immediately gets a call from his father, his mother is at the temple making a scene at Prawat’s tomb.

I really don’t know why Phubordee’s father is there, probably doing boon (religious alms).

When Phubordee arrives at the temple, he finds his mother in a state.

Khun Sumon at Prawat’s tomb:“Prawat talk to me. How can you abandon me like this?”

Her husband tries to lure her away because she is scaring the other visitors. He helps her up and tries to usher away, she breaks free and runs back to Prawat’s tomb.

“Prawat, you’re not angry with me right? I love you. Please get up and talk to me.” Khun Sumon deliriously asked the ashes of her dead son. She is really crazy.

Seeing his mother in pain, Phubordee runs to her and hugs her.

“Mom, lets stop.”

Did any one notice how the dad just seem annoyed rather than concern over his wife’s mental state? Pretty much when Phubordee came, he just let Phubordee handle everything and stepped away.

Crying excessively she asked Phubordee:

“Phu, was I a bad mother? This happened because of me, right?”

Phu doesn’t answer her and she sinks to the floor. She wants to die and starts hitting her chest.

“I want to die, I want to die, I want to be near Prawat.”

Not knowing what to do, Phuborde restrains her hands and blurts out that she must live for Prawat’s child.

“Mom, you can’t die. You have to live on. You have to live on for Prawat’s child. “

Well that lighten up her spirit, she immediately stopped hitting herself and stopped crying.

Jigga wah wah! She can now live on because she has a grandchild.

Back at the house, Phubordee admits he is not sure if the child is Prawat’s, Khun Sumon doesn’t care. There is a chance because Oranee became pregnant before Prawat left for America. She wants Phu to find the child, get a DNA or whatever exam to find out if that kid is their relative.

Khun Sumon starts begging Phubordee to find the child and Phubordee hugs his mother. He will do if she promise to stop blaming herself.

“I will do it mom, but you have to promise me something first…you have to stop being depressed and suicidal and stop blaming yourself for everything that has happened in the past.”

She cries and agrees.

Phubordee:”Because you have agreed, I will move earth and mountain to find that child for you.”

-Okay buddy, you do that.

His mother thanks him and they hug some more. I like his relationship with his mother, it’s tender. To me, he is not a mama’s boy, he is just trying to make things better. Though I wouldn’t go as far as he would, I would do the same for my mother. I could understand his compelling need to make the people he love happy.

That night at Sop Moei, Oranicha tells her nephew a story to help him sleep. They have to wake up early tomorrow, they are doing boon (a buddhist religious ceremony for Oranee and Prawat).

Oranicha:“Once a upon a time, there exists a mountain called “Lonely mountain”, no one lives there except a little boy named Mom Mem. Mom Mem went to live at Lonely mountain because he was different from other people. He did not have an emblem mark on his forehead, a red emblem mark represented normal people. A green emblem mark represented a bold person and a silver emblem mark represented a king. Mom Mem did not have a single marking on his forehead, he was considered a monster because villagers believe he will bring bad luck to the community. One day, someone sent an invitation to Mom Mem at Lonely moment, a stranger who will alter the lonely Mom Mem’s life forever.”

If you didn’t get it, the story is about Phubordee, he is “Mom Mem” in the story. Metaphorically, the stranger is Oranicha, she will change Phubordee’s life forever.

The next day, Tawee overhears Khun Sumon ordering Phubordee to find a child, what child, he doesn’t know. Curious, he goes searching through Phubordee office to learn more. He finds a tour guide book on Phu’s desk, he flips through it and finds a page where “Sop Moei (a city in Mae Hong Son province)” is highlighted. Then, he notices a piece of paper half out of Phubordee’s desk drawer. He pulls it out, it’s Oranee’s death certificate. He is shock to learn Oranee has passed away. The child, Khun Sumon was referring to is probably Oranee’s child, he concludes.

Back in Sop Moei, Oranicha does boon for Prawat and Oranee. After she says her blessing for both Prawat and Oranee while watering a tree, Azn Harry Potter asked who is Prawat. Oranicha lies to him that he is just her good friend. Oranicha doesn’t want Azn Harry Potter to know anything about his paternal family. If he knows, it could lead to other things and she could lose him.

Finally knowing the truth about Oranee, Tawee find Gifgay and confronts her, he is frustrated she lied to him all those years. She has been misleading to look for a woman who has been dead for 5 years. Tawee wants her to tell him everything because right now Phubordee is on the hunt for Oranicha and Azn Harry Potter. If he finds them, he is going to take Harry Potter away from Oranicha and Tawee is the only person who can help her. Gifgay agrees to help and tells him that Oranicha moved up North. One problem, she doesn’t remember the address, she misplaced it.

Phubordee arrives to Sop Moei, he checks out the hospital first. He learns that Oranee didn’t provide a home address, luckily, hospital documents show that they used Oranicha’s work address. He goes to Oranicha’s clinic, it’s closed because it’s Sunday.

Also during this time, Tawee also arrives to Chiangmai and is heading to Sop Moei. He must find Oranicha without any contact information and before Phubordee.

Oh how convenient, Oranicha and her father Uthai deliveries their vegetables to the hotel that Phubordee is staying at.

While delivering the vegetables the food manager guy annoys Oranicha by rudely telling her if she ever needs a father for Azn Harry Potter, he wants to be the first guy she calls. Of course this ticked off Oranicha and she starts cursing him out, Phubordee hears their argument to which he finds very familiar. He goes to look for the source, but when he gets there, Oranicha is being pulled away by her father and Phubordee doesn’t see her face.

Azn Harry Potter, who is asked by his aunt to go play nearby while she and his grandfather handle business, ventures to Phubordee’s cabin. He accidentally kicks his soccer ball at Phubordee head and hides behind the bushes when Phubordee turned around. Phubordee is not mad and playful asked him to come out. When Harry Potter doesn’t come out, he believes no one is there. He takes the ball inside the cabin and decides to take a shower.

As Phu is showering, Harry Potter decides to come out. He knocks on the door but no one answers. At the end of the episode, Azn Harry Potter decides he wants to sneak in and retrieve his soccer ball without permission.
