Oh my gosh, Thai citizen and Korean pop star from 2PM, Nickhun takes off his top for the Thai military. Lucky them. Nickhun, who turns 21 this year is up for the Thai draft.
While in Korea, all able men must serve, Thailand works a little differently, it works through a lottery system. Draw a red card, must serve for up to 2 years. Draw a black card, yeah, don’t have to!
Black or red for Nickhun, most likely black. If he draws red, he can always apply for an academic deferral. Young men who draw a red card and are currently studying at a university or busy working, they can apply for a 2 year deferral.
Depending on the district, if enough young men apply to be soldiers, the lottery is not needed. This was the case for “Golf” Pichaya Nitipaisalkul last year. Though he went and drew a red card, his services was not needed, enough young men applied as soldiers for his district. BKKdreamer has more on this.
Update: No military duty for Nickhun because enough people applied as soldiers in his district. No draft lottery was conducted. Soon after, Nickhun flew back to Korea to continue working on 2PM’s new album.

I remember watching an interview of Nickhun on 9 Entertain, I was blown away by his maturity and cuteness. I don’t know about his English or Korean, sometimes you can sound really cool in one language and totally stupid in another. Though I wasn’t a fan before, I became a fan after the interview.

Anchorwoman:”Oh…there is so much of him.”
Anchorman:”WOW, he is so fat.”–literally he said that.
Near the end, they start talking about Nickhun’s body. The anchorman said that if Nickhun is a 6-pack, he is a 1 bag (meaning he has a tummy). HAHA.

I notice after watching him on so many interviews and shows, that he is such a gentleman, and very polite, especially in the way he speaks, in whatever language. I adore him…

Hubba hubba. I saw his interview too and he won me over. It kind of sucks when you’re really into Asian entertainment and in my case live in California….I have to torture myself through videos of music and celebs I enjoy from a far distance with no likely chance of attending a show or concert of theirs unless I plan a vaca trip!

Nick can speak englisk very well. He sounds hot no matter what language he’s speaking in. Be it Thai, Korean, or English.
