Taew Natapohn is super happy to have been chosen as nang’ek for “Dong Poo Dee” directed by famed film and lakorn director Pongpat Wachirabunjong (the Ch3 director with the ponytail). The lakorn is set to premier this Friday April 10, 2009 on Ch3, taking up their weekend time slot for the month of April to May. It is the first period lakorn for Taew, who is paired with Mart Krissada as pra’nang. Taew is “super happy” because participating in a period lakorn has always been a dream of hers.

It just seems like everything is going well for Taew, her career is taken off and her relationship with boyfriend “Thon” Aach Lhaisakul (22), actor from the 2006 boot-camp comedy “Khao Chon Kai“, is also going smoothly. She has boyfriend! Raise your hand, if you didn’t know that either.

“For this lakorn, I’ve taken up a very pitiful character, I’m the daughter of P’Nok Jariya. It’s my first period drama, it’s a very depressing series. I’m a nang’ek who must fight with people; fight for what’s right. The role is somewhat strenuous, I have to cry a lot, do a little housework. It’s a lakorn about life, how life can be bitter.

At the beginning, I live with my mother, when my mother passes away, I’m taken to live at “Dong Poo Dee”, there, I’m bombarded with people who hate me. I had a lot of problems performing in this lakorn. Before I did a scene, I had a lot of self-doubt, I wondered if I can portray this role well. However, I tried my best. In this lakorn I have a lot of scenes with P’Nok Chatrachai, his character hates me, our scenes usually involve him verbally abusing me or slapping me, he is very good with projecting his emotions. He helped me a lot. At first, I was very stiff, P’Nok help me to loosen up, give me moral support, and help me with my technique. As for P’Smart, we acted well together, he acted well.

To have been given the opportunity to work in a period drama like this, I’m very pleased, I’ve always wanted to take part in a period lakorn. When I was given the opportunity, I was extremely excited. I love dressing up in fancy old-style clothing, it’s like we’re transported back to the past. Everything including clothing and location is beautiful in this lakorn.” Taew talking about her role in “Dong Poo Dee”

Regarding her relationship with long-time boyfriend Thon, she said this:“Our relationship is okay, I’m very happy. Everyday we try to make it normal, we’re very close, it’s been 3-4 years now. We get along very well, we understand each other. Both our families know about our relationship.”

Thon back in 2006, I don’t think he looks like that anymore, it’s been 3 years. I can’t seem to find a recent picture of Thon or a casual picture of him, all the pictures I can find of him are from his film “Khao Chon Kai”.
