Nichkhun likes clams!

Not that kind of clams, the other kind! HaHaHa. During a fan signing event at Central World Paragon today (6/7/09), an interviewer asked Nichkhun whether he likes “hoi (clams)”, he chuckled and started listing all his favorite clam dishes. Finally, he broke down laughing and said “yes, I do.I like all types of clams. It’s my favorite food.” Why did he laugh when asked that question? In Thai, ‘hoi” literally means clams and it’s also a slang word for the “vajayjay”.

The clip of Nichkhun admitting he likes clams. I love the two guy hosts, they understood what Nichkhun was saying. “Nichkhun is Thai, he’s probably thinking of another meaning of ‘hoi’.” The girl host just scolded them for being perverted. He probably means “hoi” as in clams she said. Then one of the two guys said, “then why did he find it funny?”

Girl host:”He’s still a young man, why did they ask him about hois (clams)?”

“Because it is his favorite food.” The fat guy in red answered. We all know Khun’s favorite food is pork.

TOO funny! I can’t believe this was discussed on national TV. This is a morning variety show too. Only in Thailand!

UPDATE:

Did I go too far? Should I have just let it go and not translate what they actually mean and said. A few minutes ago, I was scolded by a person at YOUTUBE, who wrote in Thai, saying I should have never explained what was said. It ruins the image of Thailand and of Nichkhun.

What the person wrote:

เวลาจะอธิบายอะไร รบกวนหวงภาพของประเทศและตัวน้อง เค้าเองด้วย หอยก็แค่หอยนะครับ ไม่จำเป็น อธิบายลึกขนาดนั้นหรอก มันแปลกๆ พิกล

I should remember to regard the Thai image and the image of Nichkhun too. Hoi means clams and nothing deeper. I did delete my youtube comment for the video because I felt bad after being scolded.

Am I disgracing the image of Thailand and of Nichkhun too? I found it funny and no harm done. Then again, I’m a very calm, open-minded person. The rest of the world, not so much. For the sake of saving face, should I delete this post?

–update part 2: thank you everyone for proving to me that the whole world is not uptight as I think they are. I will keep this post.

Ploy Cherman has a thing for Sugus

Not the CANDY, the person.

While filming the show Ratree Samosorn for Ch3, Ploy Cherman jokingly said she had a thing for 19 year old “Sugus” Banthawit Thragoonpanit from the lakorn “Jaew, Jai Rai lae Khun Chai Taewada (Jaew, the wick one and godly Chai)”. They were teasing her about liking younger men, so she said, “is it Sugus? He’s edible.” It was a joke, a random thing she said to lighten the mood.

Ploy has been given the nickname the new “Mae Nursery” by the media. “Aum” Patcharapa Chaichuea is the original title holder of that nickname. She too is infamously known for liking younger men. Ploy said it can’t be helped, she has a lot of young friends. Though she is single at the moment, she does get a lot of interest from younger men. This one time a young 18 year old asked her out, she replied: “do you want a mother, I don’t think you can handle it?”

Pinky Savika Out, Poo Praiya to replace!

Well I guess I’m not watching “Dok Bua Kao (White Lotus)” when it airs, the role of nang’ek has been changed from Pinky Savika to Poo Praiya. Wow, from a good actress to a really terrible one, I’m definitely not watching it now.

Poo Praiya is a pretty girl with limited acting skills–just because you can memorize the script, it doesn’t mean you can act. There are emotions involve, you can’t just stand there, read your lines like you’re reading a book. You have to be the character, make others believe you are the character. I don’t know how she became an actress. Really, I don’t. I know I’m hating, watching Poo Praiya act is literally painful to me.

Because of the switch, the Thai media suspects there is a rift between Pinky Savika and Khun Daeng, the head honcho of Ch7. Mostly recently, the media caught up with Pinky at the “Get Friend Get Family” concert at the Centro Sukhumvit 113.

Pinky denied any such rift, it’s more of a scheduling issue. Also, actors being replace in a lakorn is very common and not a big deal.

Filming schedule for her upcoming Bollywood movie and “Dok Bua Kao (White Lotus)” overlapped. Since she can’t be in both India and Thailand, Pinky chose her Bollywood movie to which will start filming in September.

She asked permission from Khun Daeng to drop out of “Dok Bua Kao (White Lotus)”, Khun Daeng approved. Nothing big, according to Pinky.

The green satin dress!

Ah…so that is where I remember it from!

Koy wore it first to the Suphanahong awards back in February, then it was worn by Pancake in a magazine spread for Priew’s April 2009 issue. Most recently it was featured in Kullastree magazine for their May 2009 issue with Pinky on the cover and wearing the dress. I call it the green satin peacock dress and it sure knows how to get around.

Koy and Pinky look best in it, Pancake not so much. It might just be the black gloves throwing everything off–it’s TOO much. Instead of Pancake or the dress, I notice the gloves first.

In your opinion, who wore it best? Pinky? Pancake? Or Koy?

I definitely prefer Pinky’s magazine spread better. The dress is made for action, for movement, for the wind to blow through it. It’s not meant to be dull and draped like in Pancake’s photo.

Pinky is just Sexy

Aum Atichart’s fated lover is one sexy woman in Arena magazine for their June 2009 issue. She is oozing with sex but in a sophisticated manner. Some female celebrities who do sexy magazine spreads, instead of looking beautiful and sexy, they tend to look trashy and cheap. Not Pinky, she always comes out looking confident and stylish.

When I say “Pinky is Aum’s fated lover”, apparently they are. According to Thai mor doos (psychics), Pinky and Aum are meant to be. Their birthdays match perfectly and they are a couple who will make each other rich.

News about Pinky is still the same. People are still wondering whether she will move to Ch3, her contract with Ch7 ends this year. In September, she is going to India to film a Bollywood movie. I believe she has a minor role or a supporting role. Nothing spectacular because she said when she goes to Bollywood it’s like starting from “zero” again. Learning the language is still a factor, so I don’t think she would get a full on speaking nang’ek role when she can barely speak the language.
