Rainbow Moon: Ep 4 Summary Part 1

Watch it at youtube. Brought to you by ATEAM!

I have decided to divide the summary post into 2 parts because the caps are large and capping this episode is taken me much longer than expected because I want to quote everything that is being said. I know, I have gone insane. I have issues.

Continue for the melodrama…

The thought of Tawan and Onadee in close proximity scares him, so he calls up Kaew from the provinces to come to Bangkok immediately. It’s an emergency.Luck hands over the $800 given to him by Onadee to Kaew, her mission is to pay of Tawan’s debt.

Kaew goes to the shop and does as she is told

As she is counting her money, Onadee makes it a point to embarrass Kaew as a parent. “Tawan is a big talker with no manners, everyone around here is saying he is a young man who has not been discipline by his parents.”

Kaew sighs and corrects Onadee, “The people you are talking about, I think there is only one person who is scolding Tawan. From what I know, everyone loves Tawan except one person who despises him.”

Onadee drops her happy face and gives Kaew a stern look as if she wants murder the poor woman. “You’re a mother who likes to talk about others, I can see where he gets it from.”

Kaew:”I’m not his mother. His mother abandoned him when he was an infant.”

Hearing that Tawan had been abandoned as a child, Onadee starts to laugh. “I think his mother is smart, she saw Tawan’s potential even as an infant. She knew he would be bad luck, so she abandoned him before he dragged her down.”

Kaew sighs again and smartly insults Onadee. “You see a person who is selfish as smart, to a person from the country like me thinks of them much lower than a dog. Though a dog has many puppies in one litter, it still has a heart to take care of it, compared to a human who has one child and abandons it. If the person’s heart is not lower than a dog, than I don’t think she could do it.”

Onadee believing she has been insults stands up. “Who are you insulting?”

Kaew:”Every mother who abandons her child, that is who I am referring to.”

“Tawan is no longer in debt to you, please pass that on to him. He doesn’t have to come work here anymore.” Kaew continued. She bid her farewell and starts to walk out. Onadee follows her, she is upset, she has been insulted. One step outside, Onadee calls out to Kaew. “Why do I have to pass the message to Tawan? Why don’t you tell him yourself?”

“I don’t want Tawan to know that I have paid his debt.” Kaew says. Onadee lightly laughs and walks up to Kaew. “So you are trying to surprise him.” Kaew nods “Yes”. “That is correct, I wanted to surprise him.”

Onadee looks up and giggles. She makes a crude joke. “I think a big surprise like this, Tawan must give you a big thanks all night long and he probably won’t get any sleep tonight.”

Kaew is stunned, Onadee is accusing her of having an affair with her own nephew, a kid she has been raising since he was 5 years old. Hearing all of this, the crowd of students begin to pay attention to their conversation.

Kaew tries to deny it but Onadee tells her, “Oy, Don’t be embarrassed. Nowadays, a woman your age have men like Tawan be their kept man. It’s not strange at all.”

“The only reason you find it not strange because you have men like that as kept a man just like those people.” Kaew angrily fires back at her.

Onadee denies it. “I’m not stupid like those woman, having kept men are wasteful.”

“I don’t know whether you are stupid or not, you can’t even tell a honest person from a deceitful person. To a person who sees only the negative side of everything, even to the point of transforming an Aunt who is paying off her nephew’s debt to being a husband and wife, that is stupid inside, in your mind, and also stupid in your face.”

“So you are saying I’m stupid?” Onadee replied shouting. Bad comeback, woman. Well duh, she is saying you’re stupid. She did use the word stupid. HAHAHA.

Kaew nods “Yes.” And continues with, “of course, if you’re not stupid why would up think of something that dirty?”—haha! I can’t stop laughing. She said it right

Onadee raised her hands to slap Kaew in the face, she runs towards Kaew, Kaew steps back and Onadee slips and falls humiliatingly down. Kaew offers to help Onadee and Onadee refuses and even fears it. “Get away from me. I’m warning you.” She shouts.

Kaew sighs again, “You don’t have to fear me. I don’t like to use violence like some stupid people. Just pass the message to Tawan that he doesn’t have to come work here anymore.” —double insult.

At the park, Luck and Kaew have a good laugh about Onadee. Kaew can’t believe Onadee is Tawan’s mother, she never thought Onadee would be like this. “You have always told Tawan his mother was a good woman, to have met his real mother, I have never thought she would be like this.”

“To have a perfect mother like in your dreams will make Tawan be happier than knowing he has an evil mother in real life.” Luck explains the reason behind his lie.

Coming into work, Tawan is splashed with a bucket of water. Onadee tells him angrily and loudly to the point where everyone nearby starts running up to watch the commotion, “Get out, Get out of my coffee shop, don’t you dare step in my coffee shop and make it dirty.”

Plaifah who happened to be there too, wants to know why she is doing this.

“My shop doesn’t accept men who take money from women as a living.” Onadee explains. Hypocrite, you were a prostitute once. Get a grip.

“I don’t welcome men who are prostitutes.” Onadee shouts louder for everyone to hear.

“A person who sells his body?” Tawan repeats. “What are you talking about?” He asked.

Onadeee annoyed, “Stop it right now, you maengda (it means water bug and is also the slang word for prostitute). Don’t even play dumb. Earlier, one of your madams came to pay off your debt. She even asked me to relay this message to you.”

Tawan is still baffled, “I have a madam who have paid my debt? “

“Yes, that is correct. She even told me she wanted to surprise you, so you would have to surprise her back at the house and rumble the bed.”

Tawan shouts out Onadee’s name to shut her up. “I think you are misunderstanding me. I am not a guy who sells his body. I don’t have a madam who supports me either. Even as you speak, I can’t even think of a woman who could pay off my hefty debt.”

“You probably deceive so many women to the point where you can’t tell which one of your madams paid for the debt.” Onadee rubs it in.

With vein popping out from his neck, Tawan shouts, ” I didn’t deceive anyone.” To shut him up, Onadee throws the empty bucket at him. “You can stop now, you can stop defending yourself. I know a person who has a career like yours will never admit even when he is caught. You can go now, leave my shop, before more bad luck inflicts my shop.”

Plaifah tries to intervene. “Please Aunt On, I think you are misunderstanding him. If he explains it, I think we can come to a different conclusion.”

Onadee doesn’t listen to Plaifah’s plea and continues to chase Tawan away.

Onadee to Plaifah: “I don’t think I have misunderstood. I think you are the who has misjudge him. I’ve never judge a person wrong.” She continues to shout at Tawan, Tawan remains still in shock, not knowing what to say to clear his name. Eventually he walks away. Plaifah wants to follow after him, Onadee holds her back. “I have something to talk to you about.”

Onadee gives Plaifah a warning, she should stay away from Tawan. “He is a male prostitute who wants to trade up from a gold beak to a diamond beak. He wants to fly to you and get you attached that is why he playing nice to you. Please believe me. Stop seeing him.”

Plaifah:”I don’t think I can do that. He has never cause me problems. And he has never done anything that would make me think he is what you say he is.”

Onadee:”He is deceiving you. If you continue to see him, you will lose your way, lose money like the woman who paid off his debt today. You cant’ be sure about him.”

Plaifah doesn’t believe her. “If Tawan really deceived that woman for money, he didn’t have to endure working here all those weeks. I think that woman might really be his relative. I think that is more believable.”

Plaifah will continue to see Tawan and to make Onadee feel better, she promises to be more cautious around Tawan. As Plaifah walks away, Onadee quietly grumbles: “You stubborn girl. If you don’t listen to me, how can I influence your parents.” —Onadee is befriending all th rich kids at the university in order to get to their rich parents. She wants to use her charms to get to their wallets. Isn’t she great, such a great person, I sarcastically say.

Since she has no influence on Plaifah, she decides to go to the next best thing, Plaifah’s boyfriend Sasin. Onadee calls Sasin who is sleeping with a woman and alerts him about Tawan and Plaifah’s close relationship. Yuck, Sasin is such a manwhore. He is seeing Plaifah and sleeping with other women. Nice! Save sex buddy, wear a condom! He’s so gross.

Plaifah finds Tawan sitting on curb feeling low with his head bowed down. “She asked you stay to talk about me, am I right?” Tawan asked. “yes.” Plaifah simply replied.

Tawan:”She probably cursed me and said more bad things about me to make you believe what others believe. And also warned you to say away. Am I right?”

Plaifah nods ‘Yes.”

Tawan:”Do you believe them?”

Plaifah sighs, “When I befriend someone, I want to get to know them on my own and develop my own opinions of them. I don’t want others to make judgments for me.”

After hearing that, Tawan lights up like a ray of sunshine. “So that means you don’t believe Khun On and will continue to be my friend, right?”

Plaifah smiles and nods “yes”. “I believe you are a good person and I don’t think I have misjudge you.”

Tawan thanks her and gives her a promise. “I will never disappoint you.”

Meanwhile at the coffee shop, Mon, Onadee’s friend comes for a routine visit like she does everyday. They talk about old times and business. The two former prostitutes are going into business together and they are organizing a opening party for their new business. Onadee leans over to Mon and instructs…’at our event, don’t you dare invite our friends from the past. They might share my colorful history to my new hi-so friends, then I will be in a bind.”

Mon assures she doesn’t even talk to those people anymore. Also, the world has gotten so big, there would be no chance they would meet up with them again. Onadee corrects her because by chance she saw LUCK again. Mon is mortified: “Who did he come with, did he bring his child too?”

Onadee is baffled and said no. Luck has a child?

“Oh, so he is a reformed homosexual. He got married and had a child so that he is why he cut his hair and dressed like a man.” Onadee giggled.

Mon corrects:”Luck is not a reformed homosexual, but he adopted a child to raise.”

Onadee:”Who would be that stupid to give their child up to a katoey?”

Mon looks at Onadee sternly and said, “No one gave him the child, the child was abandoned. It is your child.”

BAM! “He is still not dead!” Onadee exclaimed. What in the hell, she hoped her child was dead. Nice.

Mon suspects there is a chance Onadee son is attending this school and if Onadee meets up with him, what will she do? Onadee doesn’t believe it. “The kid looked stupid even as an infant, I don’t think he would be a good stupid and pass the exams to make it in to a good school like this.” —not only does she hate him, she thinks he is stupid too. Again, nice woman!

Mon inserts that katoeys are smart, he probably did a good job with Tawan and Tawan is currently going to this school. Onadee again doesn’t believe, she chooses to be negative and think Luck was here to meet up with his kept man, a young kid to whom he is putting through school. She thinks Luck couldn’t handle being a father and probably put Tawan into a state institution. “A lot of years have passed, many things could have change.”

It’s sad how everyone believes Tawan has potential, except his own biological mother.

Instantly when she steps into the auditorium, Plaifah is handed flowers by 3 men who were paid by her anonymous admirer Tawan. Seeing Plaifah smile while receiving the flowers, Tawan cheese to himself. Kay-Yun who was sitting next to him notices and asked, “are those flowers from you?” Tawan denied it and continued to cheese because homeboy loves cheddar cheese.

I guess they are rehearsing for something, Plaifah and Tawan are coupled together to walk down a row of steps. Out of jealousy, Kay-Yun rolls down a bottle of water like a bowling ball to make Plaifah trip and fall. Sasin saves her in time.

Tawan knees down readying himself to massage her sprain ankle, Sasin grabs his hand. “You don’t need to. She is my girlfriend, I can take care of her.” OUCH! And the violin starts playing a pathetic song.

After that, Tawan is called outside, someone wants to talk to him. Tawan goes out, two guys in brightly colored blue shirt and red Adidas jacket wait for him. “Your name is Tawan, right?”

Tawan said ‘Yes.” And, Bam! He is surprised with a punch in the face. The guy in the blue shirt holds him while the guy in red jacket kicks Muay Thai style and punches him repeatedly. The guy in the red jacket pulls Tawan’s battered face up and warns him, “Remember this, if you don’t stop involving yourself with Plaifah, you will get a more painful beating. REMEMBER IT.”

Wanut finds Tawan.

Tawan doesn’t know those people, he has no enemies. Kay-Yun makes it a point to blame Plaifah, it’s probably one of Plaifah’s fanclub member the one who has been secretly giving her roses. Sasin asked whether they said anything, Tawan lies and says, “They didn’t say anything.”–the answer kinda disappointed Sasin, he wanted to heard his handy work being said.

Since Tawan is badly beaten up, they cancel the rehearsal and decide to all go home. Sasin snidely offers Tawan a ride home, at first Tawan refuses until Plaifah offers the ride home too. “You’re badly hurt, let us give you a ride.”

The ride home, Sasin makes it a point to discuss the beating. He tries to lure Tawan into admitting what the two hoodlums said. “You should think real hard about what they were thinking so for the future, you won’t do it again.”–Dude is a bastard.

Sasin plays cute with Plaifah and makes it seem like he cares for her deeply in front of Tawan. Barf. He has reserved a table at her favorite restaurant. Plaifah smiles. “You know my heart too well.”

Sasin:”If I don’t know the heart of the person I love, it wouldn’t be good.”

Poor Tawan sitting in the back sit, not only was he physically beaten that day, he was emotionally beaten by Sasin while riding home.

Sasin drops off Tawan, he rolls down his window and tells Tawan, “your wounds are fresh, after you eat, remember to take some medicine, so that you won’t be in much pain.”

After they drive off, Tawan stupidly praised Sasin. “he is a nice guy with a heart, no wonder Plaifah loves him.” —No, he is the guy who paid others to beat you up. Don’t be stupid Tawan. OY! OY!

On the way home, Plaifah said she wanted to find those guys who beat Tawan up and lock them up. Sasin tells her not to be overly concern about Tawan.

“But he is my friend, of course I am concern about my friend.” Plaifah explains to him.

“You may think of him as a friend, but does he think of you as a friend.” Sasin implants into her mind.

“Are you jealous Sasin?” Plaifah asked.

“A guy who coming too close to his girlfriend, what boyfriend would not be jealous?” Sasin answered.

“Don’t be jealous, he has never tried to get close to me more so than my other friends and he has never said anything that would suggest he likes me. Or even by action, he has never shown me he likes me. Rest assured Sasin, you don’t need to be jealous.” Plaifah tells him.

“I can’t remain calm. There are many close friends who don’t think innocently. I want to tell you frankly, I don’t trust Tawan. However, I know I can’t forbid you to stop seeing him. I want to ask you to stop getting more close than you are to him now.”

Plaifah doesn’t agree, she wants to see it for herself first. If he does anything out of line, she will break her relationship with Tawan immediately. Everything is normal right now, she doesn’t want to cut ties with him yet.

Tawan arrives home, Luck is shock! Who beat you up?

“Someone who is not happy I am friends with Plaifah.” Tawan answered. Luck warns him to stop seeing Plaifah, but Tawan explains it doesn’t matter, they will not be seeing each other much anyways. She has class representative duties and he has to work at the coffee shop. Then, Kaew walks out.

Tawan gets it now, Kaew is his madam from the coffee shop. Though he doesn’t understand his father’s reasoning for paying off the debt, he understands what it is like to be concern about someone. He thanks his father.

On the balcony, Luck asked Tawan not to keep secrets from him again. If something goes wrong, he wants Tawan to tell him immediately. Tawan promises to not disappoint his father again and to study hard. Luck tells no to over do it. Even if he fails, even if he doesn’t graduate, Luck will accept Tawan. He just wants Tawan to be happy.

Luck:”Don’t study so hard to the point where you’re over-stressed, okay?”

Luck also wants Tawan to stay away from Onadee. Don’t talk to her, don’t eveb go near her. Tawan agrees. “I don’t even want to.” He tells his father.

The recaps are so long. Honestly, I just skim through all of them. There’s really nothing sweet or romantic going on between our leads at this time. All I see is the DRAMA!

Until I see some good ole close proximity between our pra’eks, I’ll skim for now. Thanks!

    Thanks Lyn,

I’m so in love with this lakorn. Bie is so cute and Aff is so beautiful. Their acting are very believable.

Lyn I find the beginning funny too. That woman is beyond stupid, how in the world did she start her business.

Cinderella, I wouldn’t like to watch a lakorn just full of romance and lovey dovey scenes. I don’t mind a little drama. And if you look at the other end, you could tell Plaifai is starting to establish without her realizing it. I would consider that romance right? And I do feel that this is turning into a Exact lakorn. I just hope they don’t make it overly dramatic. And for this particular lakorn, I don’t think kiss/slap is appropriate for this lakorn. I just hope it doesn’t have too many when Tawan turns into a jerk.
