Ch3′s nang’rai “Tanya” Tanyares Ramnarong becomes a mother for the first time via a surrogate. The child was born on June 24, last Wednesday and was carried by Tanya’s cousin in America. Tanya and her husband “Pek” Sanchai Engtrakul traveled to America 1 month before the due date to wait for the birth.
Tanya was in the delivery room and witnessed the whole birthing process, Pek was not. It was a natural birth, out of consideration for the surrogate mother, Pek stayed in the waiting room. It took only 3 pushes before the baby’s head came out, Tanya was very excited. It was like a miracle she said and it made her feel like a mother instantly. “The second I saw my child’s face, it felt like a miracle. I have miscarriage so many times thus the only thing I can not do is deliver a child.”
Though she did not carry the child, genetically, the baby is hers. It is Tanya’s egg and her husband’s sperm. It’s a girl. They named her Laleeya Engtrakul, her nickname is Leeya. She was 5.7lbs or 2600 grams and 49cm long.
The couple plan to stay in America until September and they will raise their daughter in Thailand.

Tanya with her daughter Leeya and husband Pek, a few days ago.

The process is simply a petri dish. The sperm from peck was placed with tanya’s egg which then fertilized and sat for ten days in climate control. My sister then went under implantation to have the ALREADY fertilized egg transplanted into her uterus where the child could grow strong and healthy. There is no DNA from my sister and the now child, all the DNA is simply Tanya and Pek’s. They have created a BEAUTIFUL baby girl with a little help from their family. We love them and support them and wish them the best of luck with little miss Liyah.
I am actually Tanya’s cousin. Not the one that carried the baby, I am Michelle’s (the gestational carrier of the baby) sister. Tanya and Pek decided a while ago they wanted children. Tanya is unable to carry children to full term therefor asked my sister, who agreed, to carry the fetus/child for her.
is she not able to carry her own child or did she just decided to do this? just wonderng. but much congrats!
congratulations to tanya and her husband. I would so love to meet her in person since she’ll be in American but I don’t think it will be the part that I live in. She’s still beautiful.
Congratulations to Tanya!
Nun, i am not implying you’re stupid. i would never say that. I know a few people don’t understand “in vitro fertilization”.
“like can her egg get with her cousin egg”, that could never happen.
They removed Tanya’s egg and then fertilized them outside in a petri dish, then they plant Tanya’s fertilized eggs in her cousin’s uterus lining.
Her cousin’s eggs will remain in her ovaries and will never touch Tanya’s eggs. We’re in different parts of the body now.
Reeses, Im not stupid,Im saying how could the kid be tanya, like can her egg get with her cousin egg, do you get it
wow you can do that..? never heard of it. how is it work? her cousin is a girl and she get egg from tanya and her husband sperm?
awwwe.. congrats to tanya and her hubby ^_^..
i always confuse her with paula taylor..is it me or do they look alike?????
That was so nice of Tanya’s cousin. I wish them the very best, at last she finally has a child to hold.
Nun, look it up, the process is call “In vitro fertilization” It’s her baby because it’s her eggs. It’s not weird, it’s modern biological technology.
This is weird, I dont know why but why is the kids her and not her cousin, I know it’s her egg but it’s in her cousin body and dont her cousin have egg too, I dont get it
Awww. Congrats to Tanya and her husband.
How sweet of her cousin to carry the baby for her. I am very happy for her. Congrat!
