I’m not surprise, Ch7 always dominate when it comes to TV ratings. This week and last was no different.
I remember a while back when I did a post about TV ratings in May, someone wrote in the comment section, who did the ratings? They couldn’t believe Ch3 was lagging behind Ch7. I’m sorry ladies, I don’t make these numbers up. They are professionally done by AGB Nielsen Media Research company, the same company that monitor TV viewership for American TV shows. This is legit as can be. No errors, Thais watch more Ch7 lakorns than any other channels’.
In terms of quality, I think Ch3, Modern 9, and Ch5 dominates. In terms of dialog and story, Ch7 knows their targeted audience, they use more slang, more everyday lingo. I have to say the dialog is very colorful compared to Ch3 and Ch5. Very informal. Very everyday.
I found Tawin and Pinky’s lakorn “Dew Palace” to be extremely dull, but yet it pulled in high TV ratings. Shrugs, how did that happen?

honestly i dont think ratings are such a big deal. having a high rating or the highest rating isnt the only criteria in determining which lakorn is the best or that its bound to win an award. Viewers are going to be bias towards their fav actors n actresses so if one lakorn wins over another despite the huge variance in ratings is no big deal. Ppl have to take into account other factors that contributed to the success of films not just ratings alone.
LOL mozemoua. I don’t think it is bogus, well I can’t wait until 2009 is over, I would love to see the outcomes in awards- even though I don’t think it is a big deal, it is nice to see who wins. Can any ch7 explain to me how Jai Rao received an award[s] and not Jao Ying Lumsing. They were up against each other in the ratings section LOL and I know for a fact that JR most definitely was crushed by JYLS in ratings.
I have to say I do prefer Ch7 lakorns than the ones on Ch3 because it’s just more entertaining for me but Ch5 are just the best!!! I don’t like many actors and actresses from Ch5 but the storylines are much better if you ask me…
I still think these tv ratings are bogus. I don’t see how ch7 can be better when ch3 clearly have better shows. hummm.
I don’t care about the rating. Just watch whatever lakorns that interest me. I admit some ch7′s lakorns are very good too, but I seem to watch ch3 lakorns more due to the pranang preference. I’m a big fan of Ann, Ken, Aum, Aff, Rome, Mart, Sirita, Pat, Por and many more, but I only love Kob Suvanant from Ch7.
