I’ve always complained that lakorn episodes are way too long and NOW I’m complaining again. They need to be shorten to 60 minutes or less like Ch5 and Modern 9. One episode is 90 minutes, way too long, they add random things which add no value to the story. They need to get to the point and be more coherent instead of trying to fill up time. I think the reason why we have so many ‘flashback’ moments in lakorns is to fill up time.

I have come to realize Bow and Thot are very alike, both have strong personalities, they have talent in what they do, they are confident and strong-willed. They are compassionate to the people around them. Take for example, mentally retarded Pong, while Bai-Tong finds him repulsive and shoos him away when no one is looking, Bow pities him and tries to be his comrade. She aligned herself in the same group as him. We are of the same group, she told him. Fight the power! In her eyes, they are both captives of Thot, both being abuse by him.
There was a whole lot of misunderstanding of Thot in this episode, he is evoking fear into her. Every incident, she sees only one side of it. The guy who slashed the grape vines with a machete at the beginning and Thot had to disarm him. The guy was heffed up on ‘yaba (meth)’ or some other narcotic. Thot ordered his men to take him away which Bow misunderstood as ‘take him away to kill.’ She doesn’t understand the situation, they guy is being taken away to be locked up in a shade to sober up.
The thing with Pong, he fears being beaten and getting in trouble because as a child he was almost beaten to death by his father. Pong was not born retarded, environmentally, he was beaten to mental retardation. When Pong says don’t beat me, Bow assumes Thot is Pong’s abuser which is incorrect. Pong has recurring memories of his abusive childhood and the words ‘beat’ or ‘trouble’ triggers immerse fear. Once those words are uttered, he goes back into infant state. It’s quite tragic. Though Pong is older than Thot by many years, Thot has become his father figure. He provides shelter for Pong, takes care of his medical issues (Pong is diabetic), and though Bow has not seen it yet, he is Pong’s compassionate friend. In the eyes of the community, Thot is a decent man and that is why no one is questioning his relationship with Bow.
Thot knows Bow is misunderstanding him, yet he keeps it going because he wants to evoke fear in her. If she fears him, she will not try to escape.
Both Thot and Bow are righteous people and the more he sees her righteous side coming out when she defends Pong, he does fall for her even more. Though at this point, Bow sees Thot as a man from an altered brutal universe, she is more alike to him than she will ever know. They are more compatible than most would expect.
Nee and Pom are just downright adorable when they are not fighting. Pulpat and Tarn have a lot of chemistry, they come off as natural, as real lovers.

Aww…she is just one and I’m 20+. Our age cap is phenomenal. My dad is 50, his youngest brother is 29 and my eldest brother is 27. I still call him uncle but my brother does not. Instead of being an uncle and nephew pair, they are more like brothers. They go clubbing together, they go on ‘couple’ dates with their girlfriends together, they make yearly trips to see each other. My uncle lives 7 hrs away.<–
