News bite for July 16, 2009

1. Pinky’s mother approves of her daughter’s new love interest Songkran Techanarong; however, she advises Pinky to take it slow.

“If they like each other, I won’t say anything; however, I do want them to study each other more. I want my daughter to take it slow…be friends, get to know each other continuously. I do want someone to come love my daughter just like the way my husband and I do. They should not get into arguments and then not forgive each other and easily break up. People who are dating should learn how to forgive each other.” Pinky’s mother told reporters when asked about the matter.

Is she hinting something? Did Pinky and Aum had very immature relationship where they argued and didn’t forgive each other? Interesting. This time around, I hope Pinky does it right. Though I highly doubt it. Songkran is known to be a playa and has been linked to many female celebrities, Pinky is not his first.

2. Miss Universe Thailand ‘Chutima’ Chantelle Durongdej won 3rd place for the National Costume portion of the Miss Universe pageant. The actual pageant and crowning will be televise live on August 23, 2009.

3. ‘Guy’ Navapol Lumpoon has a crush on Grace Karnklao and  also stated the only criteria for his type is light-skinned girls.

He said this about the Ch7 actress, “I like Grace (Karnklao Duaysienklao), she has a very cute face and plays well in lakorns. If I ever meet her, I’ll be shy. We might be the subject of observation; however, I would never pursue her. I’m just please by her. I have seen her at an entertainment event twice, but I’ve never went up to her and asked for her number or try to pursue her. It’s better if I don’t.”

About his type: “I like a woman who is light-skin; however, not too white, just for her to have light-skin, that would be fine.”

4. ‘Namfon’ Patcharin Judrabounpol has been given the nickname: “the Goddess of Evening lakorns” by lakorn fans because of her frequent leading roles in one. I believe, lately, all her lakorns have been evening lakorns. Namfon does not feel insulted by the nickname nor does she feel her stardom has fallen. It’s the other way around.

“To have the nickname of ‘goddess of evening lakorns’ is a good thing. It shows they are following my work. Am I hurt by the nickname, no, not really. The act of working in whatever type of lakorn or when it airs, it is still the work I love. Majority of the time, people enjoy watching my work. Everywhere I go, people like to come up to me. As for my lakorn ‘Lah Pee Porb (Hunting for the Ogress)’, there is everything for everyone, it has comedy and also sadness. I’m playing a person who is bold and not ordinary. It’s very liberating to play something you normally don’t play. It’s very fun. Most importantly, it’s not a serious lakorn.” Namfon said about her new status as the goddess of evening lakorns and her currently airing lakorn “Lah Pee Porb (Hunting for the Ogress)”.

5. Yanin “Jija” Vismistananda sports a new shorter hairdo for the premier of her latest action flick:“Deu, Suay, Doo (Stubborn, Pretty, and Fierce, Eng title: Raging Phoenix). I must say, she looks friggin fierce. Love it. You work it girl.

6. It has always been a one-sided love between Rita Jensen and Tye Nattapol. She has never been serious with him.

“We are just friends, that is the best thing. P’Tye, he is an adorable person. I have never been serious with him.”

Rita also said she doesn’t want any more news about them being written because it’s bad for their image. Ouch.
