September 18, 2009 for the weekend time slot after Vicky Sunisa and Boy Pakorn’s lakorn “Fai Rak Arsoon (Love Fire of the Beast)”.
“Prasart Mued (Mystery Castle or Dark Castle)’” stars Nattarat Maurice and Sirita Jensen and is a remake of Mew Lalita and Willy McIntosh’s lakorn from the early 90s. It’s a romance slash mystery lakorn about a young Duchess (Rita Jensen) who runs away from home to become a caretaker for a wheelchair bound girl at a mysterious castle. She encounters many odd occurrences while there and falls in love with the master of the estate, Dr. Pharot Panarak (Nat Maurice), a reserve man with a dark past. His wife went missing 7 years ago and people believe he murdered her.
I’m going to be frank with everyone, I am a little worried about this series. One, we have Nat Nattarat Maurice as the male lead. Lets be honest, he’s stiff and too young for a role of a doctor. Two, the fake mustache doesn’t help out his cause either. Instead of making him look older and more respectable, they turned him into a laughable Thai version of Zorro. Every time I look at him, I start cracking up.
Boy Pisanu plays a prince in this lakorn, he falls in love with Rita Jensen’s character and pursues her heavily. “Maprang” Wirakarn Seneetantikul plays a character who secretly loves him.
Rita and Nat

I do love the early 1920s themed wardrobe.

Mew and Willy—Nat and Rita. Which pairing do you prefer?
I spy a mango tree. Yum, mangoes.
Boy with Maprang and Boy with Rita.
Boy sure loves that bike. He is giving everyone a ride on it.

How come all these lakorns have air dates, but Dan, Ae, and Oil’s lakorn is like not coming out any time soon? Same with Rita and Andrew’s lakorn..news came out about it a while ago…but it’s not in the airing line for a while? hmm..
The mustache comment LMAO… Oh wow I am in tears. I just saw the teaser and wow am I amazed. I love the wardrobe, the setting, the location, and it looks professionally shot and done. Good quality as well, despite Nat, I am awed. Rita really looks like a Duchess and well fit for the role. I too would like to switch the pairing to Willy and Rita =D but I do prefer Rome. Wished they had been in this one since Rome has that older man look.
obvious he is too young for this role. I would love to watch it and try tog get some ideas for my fanfic. =]
I super agree with you DaraRai. Can’t wait for this one.
Hehe at his mustache. I just want to pull it off. I guess they’re portraying a mysterious guy too seriously. I can see him as a character in a novel…in my head but to see it in a movie is a different story. Why couldn’t they just tell him to grow out the real thing? We’ll just have to see when this airs. I do love Rita. She’s so beautiful and tall. I’ll watch it because of her.
Me too, i’ll skip it also, Nat doesn’t interest me at all, but the old version looks better just because Willy McIntosh is in it!
I will pass on this one because Nat doesn’t suit the role and yes he does look foolish with the fake mustache. He and Rita doesn’t match unlike Mew and Willy in the ’90s version.
I like Boy in Gae Roy Rak.
I like to switch the pair. Willy & Rita.
oh shit i know for sure this remake is not gonna be good. nat can’t act that well yet and he looks like rita’s younger brother. yep for sure can’t beat willy and mew’s version.
I love the fashion sense. But I don’t like Nat. ):
Why does this lakorn remind me of Jane Eyre? Oh yeah because it’s another adaption. Nat looks like a fool and yes I am also laughing at the stupid mustache. I wish Rome played the lead it would have been much better. I will pass on this lakorn I’m not that big of a fan of Jane Eyre or any storylines that are very similar to that story.
Nat suck
i will giv it a try but to be honest i dont’ have high expectations for this remake..i still prefer lalita and willy version..Like you said Nat is too young for this role..
I love the wardrobe, the set, and the locations filmed! I have to say that, despite nat’s being in this, I’m quite excited for this lakorn to air. I’m pleased with the cast except for nat (a poor choice…he can’t act and he really doesn’t fit the role).
