Seriously! Is that the English title? Why can’t they just stick to the literal translation, “I rode a skytrain to see you.” Oh my cheese.
After seeing the teaser, I’m confident I will like it. One, I can relate to the main female character. I, too, am a spinster not as old as 30 but getting there. When you reach a certain age, the marriage question pops up a lot. “Are you married yet?” or “when are you going to get married, ” are two questions I frequently hear from people. Honestly, I have never thought about it and the majority of the people I know don’t understand that concept. I know myself– marriage, having kids, a house, will never complete me. There is something about marriage I find suffocating. Many girls dream of their perfect wedding, I dream of traveling the world with no strings attached like a nomad.
In that aspect, the main female character played by Cris Horwang differs from me. Being a spinster is a sensitive issue for her. At weddings, she has this big tendency to drown herself with alcohol to suppress the misery of being ‘single’. When she meets Ken Theeradeth’s character Lung, an maintenance engineer for an electric train station, her world turns upside down because she falls in love for the first time. Lacking experience, she comically stalk pursues him.
The story is cute. The teaser is downright hilarious. My favorite part is her grandmother insulting her in Chinese and she had to get the translation from her mother. “Mom, what did grandmother say?”
“Your grandmother said, you don’t have boobs, yet still you want to dress provocatively,” her mother replied loudly.
That’s just wrong, actually, my mother would have said the same thing. See, I can relate to her and her family.
The las chicas at Darathai also did a post about this film, they have translated the official summary and even translated the theme song. Awesome or what? You can check out their post here.
The film will be release on October 15, 2009 nationwide Thailand. I’ll probably get to see it 3 months from now.

The teaser looks reallie good..the title chased me away at first but i’m reallie looking forward to this movie…seems like i can relate a bit with her staring at a cute guy from afar..ehehe…but i feel like Ken’s character in here has a little mystery to him..maybe there’s someting more than just a cute guy working at an train station..
haha. the trailer seems interesting..but
i’m guessing it’s kinda different from
other lakorns cuz it’s a film. [if u know
wat i mean]. their life seems to be based
on the old days.
Plz let me know when this come out!!! It’s so cute and funny:) I like ken!!

This looks really cute, I especially love the part at 2:40; it’s adorable =]
i saw the teaser from pantip and am loving it as well. I’m love comedy romance as well — and for sure, i can relate to her b/c a little off relate to you, i dream of traveling around the globe with no string attach but at time, it’s a bit lonesome too. Opal seem funny in here too ^^ Anyway — i can’t wait for this either.
Amen to that Lyn!!
The teaser is so cute, I love romantic comedies
This isn’t as bad as I was imagining. It actually looks enjoyable, if not for what looks to be a good performance by Cris Horwang then to just satisfy the transportation geek in me to see the inner workings of Bangkok’s Skytrain system. And it helps to have Opal as the supportive best friend.
Aww. the Movie is juss TOO cute.
I can totally relate to this movie as well. Probably because I live in the same culture even though I’m in the states but the Asian morals are about the same all around. I love the dialogue already. I hope it’s not another Thai film that fails to impress me with their silence. Thai movies usually have too much slapstick comedy, no one ever talks, or the story takes a downhill halfway through but I really like it from the teasers. Thanks for sharing.
Funny. I’m in the same boat as most of you here. In my culture, I am considered as an old maid. Annoying with the same questions and answers but quite hilarious at times. I guess it’s not normal. LOL Before, all questions were about education, now, it’s all about marriage. Can’t a girl stay single??? The bf and I have been together for almost a decade. We’re perfect the way we are without the arrangement of a wedding. I want to travel and live life to the fullest with no one telling me I can’t. That’s freedom right there. ^_^
Looking forward to this movie.
