the underwear model. HaHa. I’m JUST joking. True, model Gun “Fluke” Kantathaworn who occasionally posses in his undies will have a main villain role in this lakorn but can he act? The lakorn I’m referring to is Tle Thanapol and “Pancake” Khemmanid Jamikorn’s romantic comedy “Buang Rai Phai Ruk (The trap of evil is defeated by love)”, premiering this coming Monday, Oct. 12th. It is replacing Kom Faek: Checkmate which ended today. It’s a bodyguard, rich girl love story, you know the genre. I’ve seen so many already, I’ve ran out of fingers to count on.
I’m not worried about quality in terms of production, it will look great because it is being produced by Polypus. It might also be enjoyable to watch, it is being directed by the same man who did Pae and Aum’s lakorn, “Jaew Jai Rai gub Khun Chai Taewada (Jaew the wick one and godly Chai)”. And you know that lakorn generated laughter all across Thailand.
The plot is simple– humble and do-gooder bodyguard Akkanee (Tle) falls in love with the spoiled daughter of a very wealthy man, Paramee (Pancake) as he protects her from Chain (Gun), her fiance, a man who has malicious intent on her family. Simple enough. Gun as Chain is a little gigolo in this lakorn playing himself to all the ladies in the series from Paramee to her sister and to other various nang’rais.
Chain is out for revenge, he believes that Det (Piroj Sangwariboot), Paramee’s father, caused his father’s death and stole his father’s company in a cold-hearted manner. He wants payback, return of his father’s company, money, prestige, and happiness. The first part of his revenge is seducing Det’s two daughters with the intention of marrying one of them and using them to take over Det’s company.
Chain pursues Det’s youngest daughter Amika (Stephanie Lerce) first but stops when she falls ill with SLE (Systemic Lupus Erthematosus). Amika is weak, doesn’t finish school, and can not take part in managing the family’s company, so Chain moves on to sister number 2, the eldest sister Paramee, he moves quick and easily won her heart. Det sees through Chain’s scoundrel plans and hires Akkanee to babysit Paramee.

The storyline is too basic and has nothing really original. Plus I have never paid much interest in Tle. As for Pancake…I’m not a fan at all ; some of her lakorns are good but It’s more due to the storylin than her acting which is overdone and not natural at all. I also think as a top actress, Pan doesn’t diversify her roles and always plays the same rich n’ek role. She should take a more challenging role if she wants to prove me something.
Is it just me, or does Pancake seem to always get those spoiled, rich girl roles? I think she gets typecasted a lot, so I don’t see much versatility with her…I mean, if you’re gonna be Weir’s girlfriend, you should at least take on different roles too…
I’m biased because I love Weir, since WWHJ.
I wonder if lakorn storylines are like playlists at radio stations…where they’ll play the same 10 songs over and over again in that one day…so for lakorns, it’s like they’ll reuse storylines every year or something.
I’m sorry I dislike pancake and tle I don’t like him either. Sorry to pancake fans but I feel she is a fake and an immature person. I also don’t care for the storyline could they come up with something original for once! I will skip this.
From my opinion, I think Pancake is a great actress. I love almost all of her lakorns. I think she deserve to be name one of the Top actress. =D

You said it all! lol. When I think of a rich girl with a bodyguard, I think of Pinky too. Because, Pinky does pull it off better. Pinky can act bratty and hi-so in a mature and dorky way. The teaser wasn’t very good. I agree, Pan does have alot of the same roles over and over again in all her dramas. Nothings new, nothing’s changed about her. Same look, same character, same role, same acting. I think the only reason why Pan is one of the “top” actresses is only because she does alot of modeling and advertisement marketing on the side which draws alot of attention to her. Plus, I think Pan is very media-needy. She always likes to be in the limelight. Anyways, I’m not a Pan fan. Pan has never grown on me from the moment I saw her. I guess I’m hating, but at least I’m not the only one who feels that Pan’s dramas are all too repetitive and similar. (:

couple than her and weir. weir matches with kwan “a little” bit more.

Okay i agree with preaw when i say the teaser when the part she saw tle thing cause he was naked her expression and voice very eww she trying to hard to get that spoiled kinda charcter that it looks fake and yuck! She not letting it come natural, i like her character in wimarn mungkorn and plik din su dao, she suits the everyday type of girl chracer not spolied she over act it wayy to much.. also i don’t know but when i heard about the bodyguard and spoiled girl make me think of aof and pinky lakorn

Pan can be very good at it but she trying to hard.. i don’t how many time i said dat but yeah…. i like the story line but way doesn it have to be pan and tle??? just to give him some credit tle acting gotten better he not the best lookin guy but eh..

I love her movies but I feel like they are repetitive. It’s like she’s the same in every lakorn, just different pra’ek.”
I’m not hating on pancake i do like her she seems cute and bubbly but she has to work on her acting and get more challenging and different role i mean she one of the top actress right ( why? i don’t even know…) < sorry about that but its true she a top actress but yet she doesn’t have that good of an acting to be called TOP….

Tle and Pancake previous lakorn followed too closely to the Korean drama Misa, plus it didn’t make much sense lmao… I am not too fond of the pairing either, it was really difficult to watch them on screen. Jaew was alright but it got stupid half way and do I have to add, they dragged, I really didn’t understand all the hype it received. The only positive side that I like to this is Polyplus and the cliche storyline lol

It looks funny, not a fan of Tle but I love Pan. For once, I’m glad she’s back as a rich spoilt girl xD Didn’t enjoy her last lakorns that much, I hope that this one will be better ^^
