Tomorrow, “Mystery Castle” starring Rita Jensen and Nat Maurice will end. Wow, that was quick. I know the ratings were bad, as for the series itself, was it good? I can’t really say much about it since I have not been watching it closely, more like a few scenes here and there. I found Nat’s acting horrendous to bear, his manner of speaking threw me off, he came off like a little boy trying to be a big man. Very forced. From the scenes I saw, I was very impressed by the production quality, great fashion sense, lovely shoes (Indeed lovely shoes), amazing architecture, beautiful scenery, everyone’s believable acting minus Mr. Nat over there. An absolute miscast. With a different pra’ek, I would have watched it. Also, the closest filled with teddy bears and Ganya talking to her ‘nangfah (angel)” lady, ah weird.

Replacing it is Janie Tienposuwan and “Nok” Chatchai Plengpanich’s lakorn “Nam Peung Kom (Bitter Honey or Bitter Nectar)”, good gosh, an older man and younger woman love story with a lot of complicated bananas in between. This is a remake of Sam Yuranan and Pupae Ramavadi’s lakorn, can’t say much about it since I have never seen it. I hear it’s a classic, a very good one at that.
In “Nam Peung Kom (Bitter Honey or Bitter Nectar)”, Janie is playing a young woman by the name of Kangsadarn, her mother is Rose (Jariya Anfone), who used to be Purim (Nok Chatchai)’s lover 20 odd years ago. According to the summary, Rose brutally hurt Purim and he has never forgiven her. When he sees her again after 20 years, he wants revenge and uses her daughter Kangsadarn (Kang) as a tool to do so. Errr…kinda ew! He has been with the mother now he is going for the daughter, I don’t know, kinda twisted.
Teaser:
October 16, 2009 is the airdate for “Nam Peung Kom”. See more pictures of the cast here.

Ew why chatchai, he cant act, dont know why people like him. I like Sam Yuranan better, anyway this movie going to be suck
ugh…love janie but can’t get myself to watch nok. and i’m disgusted by that pic of him hugging her! i don’t care too much for the storyline but can’t watch the pair. i thought sam and pupae wasn’t that bad tho but nok is just old.
there was another older version before Sam/Puapa , in that version the P”k look as if he was in his early 60′s, good god , luckily the second version Sam look young ! She was 22 , cuz she finish college . When the P’k & the N’k mother dated they were high school sweet-heart , therefore he was 40 & the N’k was 22 when they meet. The revenge was simple , since the mother was a drunken & in debt , he ofter the mother $ , in exchange for the daughter as his mistress , the mother was greedy , therefore agreed & she know that the P’k was just getting back at her for dumping him 20 + years ago but she had her own plan as well , she know her daughter is too beautiful to be resist lolll. The lakorn isn’t that bad , the plot is a little twisted but it’s very humorous as well , the mother was the comic relief in the lakorn.
I didn’t watching Nat and Rita lakorn cause I didn’t like Nat being p’ek in the
first place, whoever cast Nat has being p’ek for this role suck!
I think I will skip Janie and Chatchai lakorn.. not because he is older than her it because the storyline is a little creepy. I not fond of p’ek dating the mother than going after the daughter… that just creepy, weird, and very very sick. Yuck!!
Oh I so forgot about PM, anyways it isn’t a bad remake. Nat is stiff but it doesn’t bother me as much as him supposedly portraying a 30-35 old man. Willy wasn’t that old either when he played Pairot in PM.
OMG Nok and Janie lakorn will be replacing PM. I was against the lakorn when I first heard about it when they had an opening of the lakorn. I am so disappointed, from out of all lakorns in the past, ch3 chose remake this. I ain’t disgusted by the age difference either but by the plot. I don’t wish for the pra nang to get each other, I rather have Janie’s character die than for her to get with Nok’s character lol
why cant they add a twist to the remake, like for example, the son of nok getting the revenge on janie. if this is the story line then i’ll definitely watch
I think that the story should be about the mother hurt the father then left him. Then the son tried to get his mom back, but he met Janie
The old version of Prasart Meud was one of my classic favorites and I was so disappointed in the remake. Was there really no other actors to fulfill Willy’s role, Nat was horrible! Total miscast. Sorry but as much as I like Janie, I am going to skip her new one with Chatchai, the plot already gave me goosebumps, very taboo.
The whole age difference doesn’t bother me as much as the whole twisted revenge of the older guy who has been with the mother and is now moving on to the daughter. CREEPY!! That’s just something that I can’t bring myself to anticipate or watch. Really not my cup of tea!
that is a big ew!! all i have to say is…WOW ART’S HOT!
I’ll skip this one I don’t like the premise. It sounds gross he went out with her mom. What if he turns out to be her father! I love Janie but couldn’t they pair her up with mart again they were good together.
well in the novel, the male lead is suppose to be 20 years older than the heroine.
he is 40ish and she is roughly in her early 20s.
Eww.
Disgusting,Lyn!
Mann.No offense,
But I dont like Chatchai!
He’s too old to be acting as pra’ek!
what! chatchai as the praek! …um ..don’t know if i want to watch it…maybe i will skip out on this one..
