Amelia “Amy” Jacobs in a near fatal car accident

Late yesterday night, Amelia “Amy” Jacobs, young star of the currently airing lakorn “Thida Wanorn 2 (The Monkey’s Daughter)” and former Miss Teen Thailand 2006, was in a near fatal car accident along with a guy companion after leaving the Dara Video movie studio in Lat Lum Kaeo.  Amelia dozed off while driving her black Mitsubishi sedan causing the car to violently ram into an electricity post, which completely demolished the front end, and even causing the engine to fall out. She was sent to Siam St. Carlos Hospital in Pathum Thani for care and later moved to the Bumrungrad hospital. Her injuries included bleeding in the brain, broken chin, and injury to the neck. Her conditions is better but still critical.

I hope she recovers soon. I don’t know about you and other people but when I am driving and extremely tired to the point where I don’t think I can drive anymore, I usually stop for a rest or if there’s someone or two in the car with me who knows how to drive, we take turn driving while the other rest. I hope she does learn from this accident. :)

wow, let hope that she is okay.

lol, fun. that might be a good idea but i usually still driving even when i’m EXTREMELY tired. i know it is dangerous but i have to keep on going. sometimes i do tell myself to take a rest especially when i’m on the highway but i never did. i dont trust someone to drive while i’m sleeping in the car. if someone is driving i have to be awake too…

Instead of this being a lesson to her, it should be a lesson to channel 7 for forcing their stars to run around extremely tired due to the rush of filming.

I agree with cindy…there are lots of accidents happen to ch7 stars because they film and air their lakorns at the same time. As a result, they have to rush so that they can keep up with the airing schedule. No delay. It happen to Win Tawin before while driving to film “Kom Feak” and the accident used to happen to “Aof Chanapol” while he was filming “Suparb Buruth SAtan”…and as the result they had to cut the episode down and end the lakorn story.

They should do like ch3 which is to film first then air later when they’re done with filming. That way, they don’t have to force their stars to run around like crazy coz they’re afraid there nothing to air for the episode for the time slot. Or at least, they should air the lakorn when they are almost done with filming.

Hope she recovers soon ! I agree about Ch7 : they shouldn’t force their actors so much and finish to film the lakorn before airing it.

But too bad Channel 7 won’t learn nor will they care because their profit and ratings are greater then a person’s life. They believe that stars are expendable. People shouldn’t support Channel 7 for this very reason.

People need to realize that if they’re feeling slightly tired while driving, he/she needs to pull over and take a nap b/c dozing off is just as dangerous as driving under the influence. Please take precaution.
