I like it a lot. A+, so far.
No overly exaggerated character, except that mother and daughter duo. Taew is just love without trying, she comes off very natural onscreen.

To start the series, we have Sia Rarn (“Ning” Nirut Sirijanya), Sia Araya (“Au” Thanakorn Posayanon), Sia Chuck (Por Thrisadee), and another friend gambling together at a club. The betting pot (or whatever you call it) is huge, it’s millions of baht. Each betting hand is 1 million baht ($30,000 USD) or higher. Good gosh. When it gets too intense, Sia Chuck folds his cards and his buddies teased him about it. They made it seem like this is a common practice of Sia Chuck, he’s uptight and doesn’t know how to have fun.
Sia Araya:”What is this Sia (Chuck) I thought you were going to sign out scraps from your safe and have some fun with us? Ha?”
Sia Araya laughs and Sia Chuck doesn’t take his comment too seriously, he plays it off because he’s cool like that. “I have never thought every cent of my money was a scrap of money.” –basically, he is saying, he values everything he earns.
Sia Chuck and the other guy folds leaving Sia Rarn and Sia Araya to duel it out in the card game. Sia Rarn is feeling lucky and decides to go ‘all in’, he puts a pile of chips worth roughly 10 million baht ($300,000 USD), good god that’s a lot of money. Sia Araya follows suit.
Sia Rarn is feeling confident. He throws 2 kings on the table, from the cards laid on the table, he now has 4 of a kind. He laughs because the only way Sia Araya can win is if he gets a straight flush.
To Sia Rarn’s surprise, Sia Araya does. In less of a second, Sia Rarn loses 10 million baht ($300,000 USD) and more. He’s stunned. Look at that face. What luck.

Leaving the gambling table, Sia Rarn has a chat with Sia Chuck at the bar, he wants to borrow money—5 million baht. Again good gosh, that’s a lot of money. That’s 150 grand in US dollars. He’s feeling lucky and feels he can win. He owes Sia Chuck money and explains that there is a chance that he could win more money and be able to pay off Sia Chuck and get back what he recently lost.
But Sia Chuck doesn’t want to take the risk and asked, “What if you lose?”
Sia Rarn doesn’t answer him and Sia Chuck had to explain to him that he is not here for gambling, he’s here to talk business.
Sia Chuck:”Gambling is not an important matter, I think you have played too much. I think you should stop before you lose everything.”
Sia Rarn disagrees and played the age card. “I want to tell you something, you are younger than me by several years. Don’t teach, don’t warn, or anything like that, I thought you were a friend who could help that is why I asked.”
Sia Chuck:”It’s not that I won’t help you. My money, my earnings, have value to me. I ask to save up my money to help you when you really need it. As for gambling, I think its nonsense.”
Sia Rarn was pretty upset when Sia Chuck found gambling nonsense. Though Sia Chuck is better than him in terms of business, but he doesn’t feel that he’s inferior to Sia Chuck in any other way. He tells Sia Chuck that he will remember those words.
Sia Chuck doesn’t answer him and leaves.
Alone at the bar, Sia Chuck says: “Nonsense? It maybe nonsense to you but it’s not to me.”–okay old man. You’ll be sorry later in the series when you have to auction out your daughter to pay off your debt.
–Wow, who is the adult in this conversation. Clearly it’s Sia Chuck who is roughly 20 years younger than Sia Rarn. He’s giving you good advice old man, listen to the kid. Excessive gambling is bad.

The next day, we have Tawanchay (Taew) at the Thai airport, she has just arrived from Australia. Don is there too, he has just arrived from America.
It’s love at first sight when he spots Tawanchay riding the escalator down, he follows her like stalker wearing shades. Can we say dork!? He follows her outside and watches her from afar as she waits for a ride.
Standing next to Tawanchay is a man who shares a similar luggage as Tawanchay. When the man takes the wrong luggage, Don takes this opportunity to help her out. He walks up to her in a ‘cool’ nonchalant fashion and warns her: “Hey you, you’re luggage went over there now.”
In the next scene, we have the guy coming back and apologizing for taking the wrong luggage, he was in a rush and the luggage looked very similar.
With her luggage back, Tawanchay thanks Don and he offered her a ride. At first she refuses, she doesn’t know him. At this point, she starts to ignore him. He tells her that she doesn’t need to be afraid. He’s not going to kidnap her and sell her into prostitution. Everyone at the airport knows him, he’s not a criminal, plus there are cameras everywhere. If he were to kidnap her, he would get easily caught.
After some persistence, Don is able to convince Tawanchay to go with him.

On the ride home, Tawanchay tries to ignore Don who is trying to start up a conversation with her.
Don:”Do you don’t trust me?”
Tawanchay then asked where are his luggage if he just cam from aboard. He bluntly tells her that he lost everything because of gambling. He had to sell everything.
As they get closer to her neighborhood, he comments that it’s very familiar, like he has been here before.
Tawanchay doesn’t remember her way home and makes Don drive around to find her house. Eventually, she does find her street home and tells him to just drop her there. She wants to walk to her house from this point on. Her house is just 3 houses down, he agrees because she doesn’t want her family to see that he dropped her off.
As she is walking away, he forgot to get her name. He doesn’t panic because at least he knows where she lives. He can come back again, her house is just 3 houses down from this stop.

Tawanchay walks down the street looking for her house, she’s lost. She has lived aboard way too long and she does not remember her own house. Suddenly she sees a house very similar to her own but with a different doorway. She walks in and it is her father’s house.
As she is walking down the pathway, she is greeted by a servant and she slips on the stone pathway. He father walks out and helped her up. We learn from their conversation that Tawanchay’s mother has passed away and she could not stay in Australia anymore because of the loneliness, she couldn’t stop thinking about her mother. So, she decided to come to Thailand to surprise her father. Her father Sia Rarn apologized for not attending the funeral because of business issue.
As her father is trying to help her into the house, Sia Chuck walks out. He sees that Tawanchay is limping and immediately he walks over, rolled up his sleeves, and effortlessly picked up Tawanchay into his arms and carried her into the house. DUDE.

Inside the house, he placed her on a chair, she cheerfully thanked him and he turned around and rudely said, “don’t worry about it, I just don’t want time to be wasted while I’m playing cards.”–ouch.
The look on her face, she was not too happy with his response. He leaves and then Sia Araya walked in and gave Tawanchay a very lustful ‘wai’. Like hey, this is my new sexual target. Ew!
Tawanchay encouraged her father to go ‘play’ with his friends, she doesn’t want to be the person interrupting his time with them. Her father agrees and tells her to go rest upstairs.
Her father leaves and Sia Rarn stays behind to stare at Tawanchay for a bit.
Finally alone in the dining room, Tawanchay mimics Sia Chuck. “don’t worry about it, I just don’t want time to be wasted while I’m playing cards.”
At this point, Tawanchay huffs and says: “you gambling addict, I didn’t ask you to help me. I’m only hurt this much, I don’t need anyone to carry me. I can walk on my own YA! What is wrong with dad, why is he friends with a foul mouth man like him?”
I love the way she said, “YA!” I should add that to my saying endings once in awhile. For example: you suck YA! You loser YA!

The guys continue gambling. They ask Sia Rarn about Tawanchay. Has she graduated from college? Yes, about a year now. Sia Rarn wanted her to come back to Thailand to work but Tawanchay wanted stay aboard and find work there. Since her mother passed away, she decided to come back to Thailand.

This is Dalad or Da, Sia Chuck’s beloved younger sister. She has come to visit him at his house and brought food offerings. As she is putting away the food in the fridge, she hears something strange. Da picks up a baseball bat from the umbrella basket and walks up stairs to find the noise. She sees a man standing there and is about to hit him with the baseball, but he is able to intercept her in time. He swings her around and pins her up against the wall. For a moment, they stare at each other. Yes, it was a moment.
Then she pouts and shouts out his name. It’s Don, her brother’s best friend.

Don said he had just came from America and wanted to ask Chuck if he can crushed at his place for a few days because he doesn’t want to go back home.
Da joked that Don treats Chuck’s house like his own more than his family’s house. He probably doesn’t need to ask.

After Da leaves, Don pushes the chair out and waves his good friend Chuck to come sit and chat with him. He has something to share. As he works over to sit down, Sia Chuck coldly asked how much Don has lost in gambling.
Don happily ignored the cold comment and cheerfully said,”I have something better to tell you.”
Instantly, Sia Chuck knew the topic, he immediately asked, “Who are you chasing after?”
Don laughs and was like, “wow, you were meant to be my best friend. You knew everything about me.”
Sia Chuck rolled up his sleeves and gave him a cold stare and sighed out of frustration. “How many people now you are like this? Why can’t you ever be genuine?”
Don says that this time it is different, the girl is different. She is the real thing.
Sia Chuck asked for her name, Don tells him he doesn’t know. He forgot to ask her. So Sia Chuck said that Don doesn’t know where she came from and who her family was. Don agrees but she is so cute. He has absolutely smitten with her. Sia Chuck does a sarcastic glare at Don because he has seen his friend like this before.

The next day, Tawanchay asked her father about Sia Chuck, why is her friends with him?
Sia Rarn explains that Sia Chuck is a good guy who is upfront about everything.
“Sia Chuck is a very calm man, who speaks bluntly. People don’t like him but I like him. Because I think he is a talented man, a man who puts effort, he has worked to become one of the richest man in the country. Though he is a wealthy man, he does not disrespect anyone. I like him because I think he is a good man.”
Tawanchay fakes a smile to please her father because he doesn’t like Sia Chuck. As her father looks away, she frowns because that means she will be seeing a lot of Sia Chuck because her father likes him a lot.

While playing pool together, actually it was more like Sia Chuck playing pool by himself while his friend Don talk endlessly about Tawanchay.
“Oh what kind of woman is she, she has such a beautiful face. If I saw her again, I will not let her slip my hands again.”
Sia Chuck was annoyed and asked, “how long you a gonna talk about her? It’s your turn.”
Don shoot one shoot and went back to talking about Tawanchay and how she is the one.
“This woman is not a woman who pass on and pass on eventually. I think it times I become serious about someone.”
Sia Chuck agrees. “It’s about time you stop acting nonsensical.”
Don thanked him and called him his second father. “Okay my second daddy, I will put much effort in it from now on.”

Wow, Sia Araya is pretty sick. He has an eye out for Tawanchay.
Sia Araya:”I didn’t think you would be this beautiful when you got older.”
Then one of his hussies came walking out and they left together. He’s sick because he is a lustful man.

The next day, he picks up Tawanchay to go shopping.

At a store, he offers to buy Tawanchay a 1 million baht ($30,000 USD) to which she declined.
“It’s too expensive for me. I came here to buy clothes, I just wanted to buy two outfits because I didn’t prepare anything from over there (she means from Australia).”
Tawanchay excuses herself and after she left, Sia Araya says, “Really this kid can’t be easily brought with money.”

Meanwhile at this time, Don is looking for Tawanchay’s house. She said 3 houses down from this street, he counted the houses and the third house is still under construction.

He harassed a guy at the place to help him find a beautiful girl who just came from aboard. The guy was like there is no one here like that. He actually said, there is no beautiful girl here. Don didn’t believe him.
Don:”There has to be. A girl with big eyes, a small frame, very beautiful. She just came from aboard yesterday and I dropped her here.’
Again the guy was like there is no one here like that. He was like, there is no beautiful girl here, do you want me to bring all the girls out here. Don was getting angry, go bring them all out.

The angry guy brings out three average looking girls.
The guy then asked sarcastically, “Are they beautiful?”
Don was getting annoyed and asked why are you being sarcastic. The guy answered, “when I was speaking to you nicely, you didn’t want to listen.”
Don then threaten the guy with violence, it was pretty funny. The guy said, “BRING IT ON!”—SO FUNNY.

Sia Chuck saw Tawanchay at the mall and rudely asked if her sprained ankle healed, she said yes because she has a sponsor to help her out. Then we have Sia Araya coming out of nowhere to say hi. He insults Sia Chuck and left with Tawanchay to see her father.
They have lunch together and Sia Rarn announces he is having a welcome home party for Tawanchay.

After fighting with the guy at the house, Don goes home with a bruise upper cheek. Sia Chuck throws him the invitation to Tawanchay’s welcome home party. Don doesn’t want to go because he doesn’t want to put on a mask and a show for people and most importantly he doesn’t want to see certain individuals.
Sia Chuck argued he has to go because Sia Rarn is Sia Araya (Don’s father) oldest friend and business acquaintance. Out of respect, he has to go.
Don agrees. First, he has to go back to his house to get clothes to change.

Cautiously, Don goes to his family home to get clothes for the party. It’s very eerie as he walks into his family home. He looked uneasy like something tragic happened in this house.

He goes into his room and knows instantly someone is in his room, he goes into his walk-in closet and sees a young man picking out clothes. He tells the guy, “when you are finish choosing, the door is that way.”
Then you hears a woman’s voice from outside sweetly asking, “are you done choosing yet?”
Don walks out solemnly and sees his mother. His mother teases him for coming home during the day time, that is a rare event.
He looks away dejectedly and his mother asked, ‘What you don’t like that my ‘friend’ is picking out your clothes to wear?”
Don said no and explained himself. “Didn’t I tell you before, have your “dek” (meaning kid, or a person working for you, or is part of your crew if you’re an adult) choose from the left side, the right side are my new clothes.”

that chick remind me of this hmong singer named Mee Vang and a bit of Aff. lol
