A Divided Heart: EP 1 Caps Part 2

Look at Tawanchay’s face, she’s like great that fool who keeps staring at me coldly is here. EEEEeee! HAHA. Yea, he is kinda weird, he keeps staring at her–some guy staring at me rudely every time I see him, I wouldn’t like it either.

Where I left off is when Don is giving a warning about meeting younger guys. If she wants to meet up with them, at least check their identity card.

Don:”Mom, I want to give you a little warning. I find the ‘friends’ that you have brought home have become younger and younger every time. If you are going to meet up with someone or see someone, I think you need to check their citizen card first. If you get caught, it will be ruin our whole household.”

His mother was pretty ticked off by his warning and said she knows. Wow. SICK! Just sick! Really does she not know she is screwing him up emotionally. The guy doesn’t even want to come home because he disgusted by his parents’ behavior.

Ew. Give me a bar of soap because I need to wash myself after watching this scene. His mum-mum is a freaking pedophile.

Tawanchay and her father make their entrance to the party. Guess who Tawanchay notices first, Sia Chuck staring at her from a distance. HAHA. Dude, stop staring at her, you’re creeping me out!

She flashes a look back at him like, “fool what you looking at?”—haha. Seriously, she did. There is so much tension between these two. Sia Chuck likes her but is too socially awkward to show it. The only way he can show his true intentions is by giving her an evil stare down.

At the party, Tawanchay meets Somsee and her daughter Somsurang, basically they are  a mother-daughter prostitute duo for the higher class. Because of debt, Somsee auction out her daughter monthly to different wealthy older men to pay off their electrical, rent, and all their financial debt that month.

Somsee was once Sia Rarn mistress but he has been keeping his distance from her.

Not wanting his daughter to know Somsee and her daughter Somsurang, Sia Rarn quickly tells her to go mingle with the other guests.

Mingling with the guest, she happens to listen on two older gentlemen gossiping about another wealthy guest at the party. He has got himself a new kept woman and it appears he likes her a lot and have been taking her everywhere. The one guy asked, if someone from his household saw him what would they think. The other shorter guy said, they’ll probably think nothing of it because it’s a common practice for wealthy men to have ‘kept’ women. The guys average it out to 3 women for 1 wealthy guy. WHAT the fudge.

Tawanchay listens to them and quickly left.

Tawanchay is tired of the crowd and goes off on her own. She complains about the people and her legs, but encourages herself to endure because it’s almost ending.

As she is massaging her leg and ankle, Don arrives. He sees Tawanchay and his face lite up. He has found his dream girl.

He rushed to her side and sat next to her. “You know I’m so happy to see you again. Do you know the other day, I went to see your house where I dropped you off, but the owner said you didn’t live there. Did you lie to me?”

Tawanchay explains that her father changed the doorway to his house so she got confuse. Don then asked if she knew Khun Rarn or his daughter because it is their party. Tawanchay said ‘no’, she is the host of the party and Khun Rarn’s daughter.

Don is so excited, he tells her he needs to thank his best friend who forced him to come to the party. At first, he didn’t want to come because he didn’t want to see two people who would attend the party but his best bud forced him anyhow.

Don:”He forced me to come here but it’s a good thing, I got to meet Khun Rarn’s daughter. Now this time, I won’t fail in getting your name.”

He playfully points at her and asked for her name. Her name is Tawanchay. She has a really boy name.

Then he notices she is in pain, Tawanchay tells him her feet hurt from wearing high heels for too long. To help her out, he gives her exercising tips to relieve her pain at the moment. She is a little embarrassed to do it alone, he does it with her for moral support.

When they are done, he massages her legs for her to relieve the pain some more.

The mood is ruined when Don’s father Sia Araya interrupts them. Tawanchay is surprise they know it each other, Sis Araya said that he knows Don very well because he is Don’s father.

Surprise! Don looks away in shame. Like dang, everyone knows now that fool is my father. Sia Araya encourages Tawanchay to go back to the party her father must be looking for her. As Sia Araya walks away to go to the reception area, Don points at him and told Tawanchay that is one of the two people he doesn’t want to see tonight.

Being that he is a loner, Sia Chuck enjoys a glass of whiskey by himself at the bar. Don’s mother Tip intrudes in his seclusion and asked why he is there all alone. Isn’t he lonely. He doesn’t answer her and greeted her by saying, “hello Auntie.”

Tip stops him and lectures that he doesn’t need to wai her every time or call her auntie, she doesn’t want to feel old. Sia Chuck said he frequently forgets himself and plus he’s Don’s mother. He can’t help it.

Flirtatiously, she scolds him and takes his drink and smelled it. It’s whiskey, too strong for her. She wants something lighter and asked if he could escort her into the party. Like a gentleman, he does.

At the party, Sia Chuck sees Tawanchay again and walks up to her. Coldly he asked, ‘you’re probably tried mingling with the guests.”

“No matter how tired I am, I won’t be tired as you.” Tawanchay answered back.

Sia Chuck:”How so, a person like me is never tired.”

Tawanchay:’You’re tired from taking care of your patron over there. Ay, it just seems your preference for women comes in variety, that is why you have change face, change age, and have them nothing like each other. I think you like a woman who has experience that is why you are very close together physically.”

Sia Chuck doesn’t answer her back. He smiles back at her without feeling.

As Tip is about to escort Sia Chuck away, Don arrives with Tawanchay’s drink. His mother is surprise. He’s there too. Don tells his mother Chuck forced him. Reluctantly, Don introduces his mother to Tawanchay. As Sia Chuck and Khun Ying Tip were walking away, Tawanchay asked Don how he can be friends with a man who is overly ‘friendly’ with his mother.

Don laughs because Sia Chuck is not that type of man, really, it’s mother who is overly ‘friendly’.

Don points out to Tawanchay that Khun Ying Tip, his mother is the second person he doesn’t want to see at the party. Tawanchay is baffled because she seems like a nice woman.

As Sia Rarn is introducing his daughter up at the podium, the two gossiping men from before starts gossiping about Tawanchay. They said Sia Rarn does not have to worry anymore, many will compete for Tawanchay because she is very beautiful. Basically they are saying if Sia Rarn wanted to, he can auction off his daughter for money if he needed to.

Sia Chuck was nearby heard what they said and scolded him. “I think gossiping about the host of the party is very rude, I think you should wait until the event is over and do it somewhere else.”

The guy was pretty upset by Sia Chuck’s comment and fired back with, “OH can be as well-mannered as you. You think it but don’t say it. From the looks of things, you are interested in Khun Rarn’s daughter also. It might be difficult, you do have a lot of competition from many men at this party. But who knows, a womanizer like you can easily compete with everyone. Am I right?”

With that said, Sia Chuck took the guy by the collar and pushed him. HAHAHAH. He deserved it.

The guy bumps into Somsurang, she fell, and twisted her ankle. Khun Rarn and Tawanchay walked over to see the commotion and to calm everyone down.

Khun Rarn begged everyone to calm and the other guy walked away with his ‘kept’ woman following him. Everyone stares at them and Khun Rarn tries to disperse the scene. Seeing that Somsurang is hurt, Sia Chuck is force to help her out. It’s not really that bad but Somsee played it for all its worth. With Somsurang hurt like this, they probably can’t get home on their own. Can he give them a ride?

Sia Chuck doesn’t really want to. A few feet away, Sia Araya who is standing next to Tawanchay and says:”again, Sia Chuck has a problem with women. A personality like that can’t really be cured.”

Pretty much, Sia Araya is just feeling misunderstandings for Tawanchay, he wants to make Tawanchay appear bad and make himself look like a goody-two-shoe. Whatever old man. You’re the womanizer and the one who has problems with younger women.

Sia Chuck drops off Somsee and her daughter off at their condo entrance. Somsee purposefully trips Somsurang so that Sia Chuck can help her up to their condo door. But Somsurang wasn’t having it and said, it wasn’t that bad, she can walk on her own.

Inside their home, Somsee scolds her daughter for not playing along, SOmsurang said she felt embarrassed. What her mother did was so bluntly obsession, Sia Chuck would notice. Somsee didn’t really care, they need a rich man to help them pay off the bills. Whatever they need to do to trap one, she will do it.

Somsee thinks that Sia Chuck might be interested in Somsurang doesn’t agree because if he was interested in her he would have been a long time ago. Somsurang said that Sia Chuck is probably not like other men.

Somsee disagree. “All men are the same. If you give them a beautiful girl, he would not be stupid to take it. Hey, I want to tell you something. If you are able to trap a man who is handsome, rich like Sia Chuck for a husband, you and I will live easily until the next life. We don’t have to go around catering to older rich men anymore.”

Somsurang tells her mother, “I hope it’s true mom.”

What the hell.

Later that night, Sia Chuck met up with Don at a bar. Don asked why he reacted that way, Sia Chuck has never been ill-tempered.

Sia Chuck said he doesn’t know. He just did. Don warns him when his father finds out, Sia Chuck is going to be in a lot of trouble. Apparently, Sia Chuck’s father is really overbearing and someone Sia Chuck should fear.

I loved when Sia Chuck came to the bar, he pushed Don’s head down and said, ‘are you crazy? Why are you drinking alone.”

Don thanked Sia Chuck for forcing him to go to the party. He was finally able to find his dream girl. Sia Chuck says, is she the real thing, he has only known her for 1-2 days.

Don:”You really don’t know anything do you. When two people who are meant to be together, they don’t need a lot of time to get to know each other. Just once is enough. If not, there won’t a saying as ‘love at first sight’. It means you meet once and instantly fall in love.”

Sia Chuck warns his friend to be cautious if something happens that he not hope for, he will not feel overly regretful..

Don laughs it off and closed the bar, he’s playing for all the drinks for everyone.

The next day, Sia Chuck’s did hear about it and gives Sia Chuck a scolding. He wants Sia Chuck to apologize, it was very rude of him to push the guy and made him lose face. It’s bad for business because the guy is one of their business partners.

Sia Chuck refuses, he doesn’t care if their business relationship turns sour, he doesn’t want to work with ‘dirty-hearted’ people anyways.

Before Sia Chuck’s dad could say anything, Da (Chuck’s younger sister) interrupts them, she is late for school and wants Sia Chuck to drive her there. He agrees and the tense conversation between father and son ends.

When both is two children leave, Sia Chuck’s father comments to his wife that kids when they grow up they stop listening to their elders.

Sia Chuck’s father:’These kids…they grow up a little, you say anything they don’t know how to listen. Just you watch, if he ruins my company, I will break ties with him.”

His wife notes that Sia Chuck is doing pretty well business wise. His business is growing very well, she said.

Ew these people are so gross. After she kissed her younger lover good-bye, Khun Ying Tip goes to have a chat with her husband. They talked about Tawanchay and how beautiful she is and how every man at the party wanted her. Sia Araya, her husband, agrees. Khun Ying Tip also notes their son Don also has a thing for Tawanchay. He appears smitten, she observed.

Sia Araya laughed it off. “He is probably thinking of her like all of the girls who have passed in his life. Tawanchay probably might not be interested in him.”

Khun Ying Tip disagrees, Tawanchay and Don seem close. Sia Araya argues, it’s just one sided. Khun Ying Tip now gets the hint, Sia Araya is also interested in Tawanchay also and finds it despicable. She called him pathetic and he said no one is as pathetic as she is. The guys she wants, she gets.

Khun Ying Tip answered that the guys she has meet up with, they are all younger than him. Their only flaw is being less wealthier than him. But now she has a new interest, someone who is younger than her husband and wealthier.

Right away, Sia Araya knows she is referring to Sia Chuck and told her to dream on. He hasn’t even looked at her in that way. Khun Ying Tip is confident. “A dream will come true soon enough,” she tells her husband.

He tells her to hurry up, he wants to sign their divorce paper. In response, she teases him. “Do you want a child bride like Tawanchay? You might have to wait a bit.”

And their crazy conversation ends. Eeeee…these people. They are so immoral.

Meanwhile with Tawanchay and Don, they went out together to a Zoo ,where they have elephant show and croc feedings. Really, they fed crocodile together.

They went to watch a movie together, an action film and Don was pretty surprise Tawanchay enjoyed herself. It was an action film not a dandy romantic comedy. Jokingly he tells her likes porn movies better. She laughs. Tawanchay tells him that she likes all sorts of movie. Don jokes that until he watches every movie genre with her, he won’t believe it. She agrees to watch every type of movie with him except porn movies. He agrees.

Surprisingly they meet up with Da there.  Out of all the movie theaters in Bangkok, they came to the same one, Don noted with a laugh. Don introduces Tawanchay as his girlfriend in a joking fashion, Tawanchay doesn’t know what to say. Don then corrects himself, ‘aw, you don’t feel the same way. Are we friends or lovers? I’m just kidding, Da, this is my friend.”

Don then interrogates Da, did she come with a guy. Da laughs and said no, she is with her girlfriends. Da leaves them to go meet up with her friends.

When Da leaves, Don tells Tawanchay that Sia Chuck loves his younger sister very much. He also points out that if he had a brother like Chuck who would love him dearly, he would be a happier person.

Don:”I once thought that if I had a good-hearted brother like Chuck, I would be a happier person.”

Tawanchay tells him that she agrees. She, too, feels lonely because she is an only child too.

Don:”The state of not having siblings can be lonely, right?”

—From that last comment, you kinda understand why Don and Sia Chuck are friends now. Don is lacking in moral stability and love. Though rather difficult to deal with, Sia Chuck embodies everything that Don lacks. Sia Chuck is a good guy to the extreme. Sia Chuck is uptight and Don is carefree, growing up in his dysfunctional family he  was probably allowed to do whatever he wanted. He had freedom. From the looks of things in Sia Chuck’s relationship with his father, I don’t think he has ever had freedom. He was confined to a box, to be always good. Being friends with a guy like Don allows him to breathe a little. They have such a dynamic relationship.

Meanwhile with Sia Chuck, he has a visitor at his office, it’s Khun Somsee. First, she compliments her daughter for being ‘strong’ though she is in a lot of pain from her foot angry. Sia Chuck knew right away what she was trying to do, play up her daughter so that he would find interest in her. Sia Chuck didn’t want to hear it anymore and said, just be blunt with me.

So Somsee told him about her situation and that Sia Rarn has cut her off as his lover and have stopped paying her bills. So now, she wants Sia Chuck to be Somsurang’s patron, like her sponsor. It’s kinda a nice way of saying, you can take my daughter as your mistress. HAHA.

Sia Chuck was rather annoyed and spoke his mind. “Since always, I have thought that a person who is a mother will love and protect her child more than her own life. But today, I just found out that some mothers love themselves more than their child, to even exchange their child like a commodity to other people with out considering their child’s feelings.”

HAHA.

Somsee:”But she is my daughter, I can do whatever I want with her. So, do you want to be her sponsor, there are many who want to be her sponsor you know. But I thought you were a good person that is why I told you first. ” —what the fudge.

Sia Chuck refuses. “Then you should not bring me to do sinful things like those people.”

Wow. After that, she left.

Nearing the end of their day, Don and Tawanchay decide to go visit Sia Rarn at his office, he’s not there so they decide to go have dinner together.

Don learns that he maxed out his credit card. He is very blunt about it and openly tells Tawanchay that he did so.Tawanchay said it wasn’t a problem she would gladly pay for it with her card. He refuses and said he has called a friend for help.

He called Sia Chuck who happened to be nearby. When she realized who it was, Tawanchay was not too pleased. It’s that guy who keeps staring at her rudely. HAHA.

End of episode.
