I’ve read the synopsis, I’ve seen the teasers, something about it doesn’t click with me. The plot line is very typical for lakorns–a man auctioning out his daughter because of debt. Taew Nataporn and Por Thrisadee’s lakorn “Hua Jai Song Park (A Divided Heart)” is something to be desired for now. Once I watch the first episode, then I will know if I like it or not.
It reminds me a lot of Pinky and Weir’s lakorn “Love Rotation or Revolving Hearts” for some reason. Though the plot line are different, the characters in the lakron are very similar. Like Weir in “Love Rotaton”, Por is playing the protective, loving pra’ek who has everything wealth, good looks but the nang’ek played by Taew misunderstands him to be cold and a man with evil intentions. Really, he is the only person who is looking out for her best interest.
Taew’s character Tawanchay is much like Pinky’s character Bow in that she is strong and a character who will not yield to no one. Taew described her character as a young woman who is studied aboard, who is stylish, confident, a good drinker, and a woman is not afraid to go out with guys at night–a big ‘no-no’ in the conservative Thai culture.Taew also said her character is not afraid to kiss a guy on the cheeks. Oh no, kissing–another big ‘no-no’. It’s sounds a lot like Pinky’s character Bow minus the drinking and the kissing part. Like Bow, who was kept in the dark for the longest time that Thot (Weir) and Nee (Tarn Kanya) were siblings, I have a feeling Taew will not find out her father is in debt to Por’s character until half way through the lakorn.
And my gosh, doesn’t Pulpat Attapanyapol and Boy Pakorn look very similar? They could pass as brothers. It’s funny how their characters are very similar. Like Pulpat in “Love Rotation”, Boy Pakorn will be deeply in love with nang’ek and will even be engage to her, but he is just not good enough for her because of his gambling issue. Pulpat wasn’t good enough for Pinky because he cheated on her with Nee and he was engage to her. Both men are selfish, kinda obsessive with the woman they love.
Everything is just all so very similar.
Maybe it will be good, from my experience, you can never judge a lakorn by the teaser or the synopsis, they are really poor indicators of a good lakorn. Plus, it’s a remake. Something must be good about it the first time around for people to want to do a remake. You can watch the teaser of the original here. Kob Suvanant’s hubby Brooke Danuporn was the pra’ek for the original back in 2000, 9 years ago.
“Hua Jai Song Park (A Divided Heart)” will role out this coming Thursday, December 24, 2009. You can read the translated synopsis at Wishbone’s page. You can check out pictures of the cast here.
Teaser:

& they made por look all old in here.
yucky.
i love por he’s a good actor, i kept watching his lakorns & thats how I thought he was good-looking. but anyways. I watched the first episode of this lakorn..kinda..i didnt like it. it was super boring. i think ima wait like 2 weeks & then start watching it. I dont think this role fits the nang ake.
does anyone know the name of the song at the end of the teaser…please
There was a hua jai song pak before the version with Brook and Sarah Lane. It was much older than that. Does anyone remember? I remember seeing it when I was much younger but I don’t remember. I know it was very popular. More popular then Brook’s version.
ugh, i’m not a por fan either. he’s not that cute and his acting is so-so. boy should be pra’ek.
She remind me a lot of Aff.
No wonder she’s going to be
the next actress that’s going
to be in the top.
I really want to watch this
lakorn.It better be good!haha..
I agree as well. I can’t ever watch a whole drama with Por in it. I just don’t find him attractive. He’s actually a good actor, but I can’t quite put my fingers on his charm. lol.
DEAR LOVELY,
i wholeheartedly agree with you. I don’t hate Por but i don’t think he’s handsome at all. Maybe it’s his acting skills. I wish they would pair her up with mart again
She looks very pretty in this !
good point guys, I didn’t think of it like that. I guess when you’re writing at 2am in the morning, you don’t really think. HAHA.
I guess it should be the other way around.WWHJ is a duplicate of HJSP.
I don’t see why people are so into Por as the main character. Sorry to say but he’s not even good looking. I’ve tried watching his dramas but can’t sit through it. The only one I finished was Mafia Tee Ruk only because Chakrit was in there. *drools* Don’t hate me, Por fans, this is my opinion. Boy is scrubby hot though.
Can see your points of similariies, looks pretty interesting.
Will look forward for it, if it ends up being draggy then totally not watching.
Ah! They’re using my favorite song as the OST, me really happy. HEHEHE
Thank you.
So I am the only one who anticipate this lakorn lol.
I must admist that I love the cast : Taew and Boy !
But the teaser talks to me too.
Don’t know if It’s similar to WWHJ since I haven’t seen it yet (and don’t really want now) but since HJSP is a remake we It looks more WWHJ who is similar to HJSP lol.
Isn’t it more like WWHJ is similar to HJSP lmao!!!
Also, WWHJ was, I guess you could say “kinky” and this drama doesn’t seem kinky. lol. It’s weird, but they pulled off the kinkiness in WWHJ quite well.
I see all the similarities that you’re pointing out, but I just don’t think it’s anywhere as good as WWHJ. WWHJ was the best lakorn I’ve seen this year, and by the looks of the teaser, it seems very different. Plus, WWHJ teaser was also much more exciting. This one seems kinda—boring. I could rewatch WWHJ over and over again. And read the caps you did for them as well. hehe. I don’t think Por can down half those “to-die-for” lines that Thot said to Bow in WWHJ. lol. (:
Btw, who is Taew? I’ve never seen her before. I thought she was Jakjann at first.
