Tomorrow, I’ll still love you: Island scenes

It is beyond ridiculous how far behind I am in this series, 8 episodes and counting. I have a lot to catch up on.

Things just kept coming up, Thanksgiving (I did not expect everyone to come), cousin’s birthday (the rodent turned 4, you can see his picture here), random obligations, this is not an apology or an excuse, this is just an update on my life, so how’s your life? :)

Back to the lakorn…

Our pra’nang were stranded on an island in yesterday’s episode (Ep21). Haha, at some point in most lakorns, the pra’nangs must be stranded on a deserted island or get lost in the jungle together. This is such a lakorn cliche but we eat it up.

I have to laugh at this episode because earlier I was glancing through an article about how lakorns nowadays are using sex appeal to lure viewers–female stars with their sexy form fitting outfits and male stars showing off their six pack to attract female viewers. Sefan Sunti was mentioned because he showed off his bod in the currently airing lakorn “Rahut Loh-Gan (Code of Hell)” on Ch7. If they saw what Pong was doing in this episode, purposefully not buttoning his shirt and showing off his bod, he would have been added to that list of male stars showing off their six pack to attract female viewers. It was bluntly obvious what they were trying to do, fan girl service!

They’re at the island stranded, their escape boat broke down (they fled Phipat who tried to rape Kaew), and they are force to set up tent at deserted island. It’s started to rain. It starts to thunder and Kaew fearfully rushed into Bor’s arms. He comforts her. “It’s just thunder.”

Then he realized, she hasn’t eaten yet. He rushed outside without thought and got their cooler with food. As he is trying to  open a can of food with a knife, she touches his face, “you’re all wet, are you cold?”

Touched by her concern, he takes her hand. “Just to have you be concern, I’m no longer cold.” They have a moment of understanding and mutual affection for one another.

He is able to open the can, he wipes a spoon using his wet shirt (ew, so unsanitary) and tells her, “you should eat first.”

She starts to eat and then she realizes, he hasn’t eaten either.

She offers him the food and he took the offer cautiously and slowly, savoring the moment.

Time to sleep, they talk before sleeping.

Kaew:”Bor, tomorrow, will there be a boat to come rescue us.”

Bor assures her:”If tomorrow, no boat comes, Pueng and Tun will find a way to rescue us.”

Kaew:”What if they don’t find us? Tomorrow…what will happen?”

Bor:”If they don’t pick us up by tomorrow, I, Bor will find a way to get us home. Do you understand?”

She doesn’t answer him. She has fallen asleep. He taps her and smiles when he realizes she is asleep.

He watches her as she slept and gave her a more concise answer. “Tomorrow, what will happen? Tomorrow, I will still love you.”—awww, he said the title of the lakorn. It’s all coming together now. Haha.

He patted her head.

He fell asleep looking at her. Oh my gosh, don’t you just want to slap him for being such a son of a bitch sweetheart—slap him and then hug him.

The next morning, he woke up first and slip his arm away carefully not to wake her up. He touched her head, “it’s been a long time since I have been this close to you, my Kaew.”

He gave her a forehead kiss.

He walks outside and tells himself. “ENDURE Bor, if you can pass this trial, the sky will be bright like this.”

Then, he sees a boat.
