Aff being cute with Songkran

For those who hate Aff and Songkran together, get your hissing, tsking, ugging, oying, or whatever sound you like to make when you’re annoyed out of the way first and then read this post because you might explode with bitterness because Aff and Songkran are going to be slap in your face, lovey dovey with each other.

In an interview with IN magazine for their January issue where Aff and Songkran took the cover, Miss Aff and Songkran were asked to compare their relationship with a thing. Aff compared her relationship to a chocolate.

“Chocolate ka,” she answered. “Because I love to eat chocolate, there are several flavors of chocolate, sweet and bitter, once you eat it, you feel alive. But you can’t eat too much of it, you will get fat. However, if you don’t eat it, your life won’t be lively because you’re missing sweetness.”—so true. I, too, am a chocolate addict and can relate.

Then Songkran interjected and asked Aff, “is it delicious?”—Do you understand what he is asking? The chocolate is him, he is asking her, if she found him delicious.

She answered, “yes, it’s very tasty.” —what the fudge!

“All chocolates are delicious. Things that don’t make you fat, they don’t taste as good, ” she added.

Now it’s Songkran’s turn to answer.

“As for myself, it’s a secret. ” He said.

Aff probably laughed and probably said this in her very sweet, quiet, playful voice: “that’s not right…it’s love. Secrets, I forbid you to have one.”

But Songkran didn’t have a good answer, so he said understanding. That’s not a thing.

“What can I compare it too? I can’t think of anything. It’s more about the act of understanding more so,” said Songkran. Wow, this guy can be so dull. He’s alright, it was a cute interview. I’m warming up to this couple.

Mario Maurer has chosen Ch3 because…

…they offered him more money, up to 10 million baht ($300,000 USD). Who knows.

After rejecting several Thai channels to be their contract actor, Mario Maurer has sign a 5 year contract with Ch3. At some Nine Entertainment event today, reporters were able to ask Mario about his decision to go with CH3.

You have rejected several channel offers, why Ch3?

“I haven’t rejected several channels, you should refer to it as the channel elders having compassion for me. Ch7, I also love and I have much esteem for Khun Daeng (Ch7′s head honcho), she is an elder I respect. I have chosen my path and I have chosen Ch3. It’s more like I’m a kid who is choosing his own path . Khun Daeng didn’t say anything, we are not at odds with each other.”–Wow, what a media change! Before, he used to get into arguments with reporters, now he is controlling them. Who is this kid?

Was your signed up fee  10 million baht ($300, 000 USD)?

“No, there was none of that. There was no initial fee. I’m like every other actor. In the contract, I will be in 1-2 lakorns per year. There is nothing in place in what I will be playing in. I have to discuss this with the channel elders first. The lakorn “Tai Fah Tawan Diew (Autumn Destiny” a lakorn I was recently in, I like it. After participating in it, I felt it was something different. After playing in a lakorn, I developed a liking to it. It has its own charm. Right now, I have 3 movies and right now it’s okay because all of my movies have finished filming.”

—again, who is this kid? ” It has its own charm,” he is sounding like an old man.

Reporters wondered if Mario has chosen Ch3 because of his girlfriend Gubgib who has a lakorn with Ch3 airing soon. Mario, acting like an old person,  said it had nothing to do with Gubgib.

“Please don’t think of it like that. It’s not the truth. As for my relationship with Gubgib, it’s still bright, we are still good friends to each other. She is a special someone.”–what the fudge, it’s like he is reading from a script.

For his first lakorn, Mario wants to work with Anne Thongprasom.

“I want to work with Anne Thongprasom, but I want to work with everyone. I like several people. But we have to see about the role and whether it matches me.”

Pong Nawat enters the monkhood

Everyone calm down, it’s temporary!  I know someone will ask in the comment section, why is he doing this? It’s just a religious rite of passage that some Thai buddhist men chose to take to honor their parents, ward off bad luck, to find enlightenment, or for a funeral. Some do it for a week, others 2 or 3 weeks, some for 2 months, it depends on the individual.

I like doing ordination (entering the monkhood) news though it’s boring because you get to see the intimate side of the individual who is being ordained, you get to see their family and friends because this is a very important affair. Most importantly, if they are seeing someone, you get to see their girlfriend carrying their monk pillow during the parade to the Wat (temple).

And I always like to compare the before and after pictures–does the person look better with hair and eyebrows or without, cause some people just look busted without. You get a good laugh out of their new look, the balded monk style with shaven eyebrows. The verdict on Pong is that he looks alright. He has the holy, trustworthy head. It’s egg shaped, that’s why it’s holy.

Thirty-one year old Pong was ordained earlier today at the Wat Intrawas in Ayutthaya province, he will be ordained for 15 days.  This time around because this is not his first time being ordained, he will continue on his spiritual journey at the Wangnamkheo in the northeastern province of Nakhon Ratchasima. Because his parents are from Ayutthaya province, he decided on this temple and not some Bangkok temple.

Look, it’s a bird, it’s a plane, nope, it’s just too many photographers and people are getting confuse.  The dilemma, which way to look? Mos is looking up to the right; Khun Boy, Pong, Pong’s mother Kalaya, Fang, and Captain are looking left. Pong’s dad Viboon is looking straight.

They were the “N” in “opeNing”

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaa! I can’t stop laughing. This is ridiculous and cool at the same time.

On wires, Pinky, Tye, and Aum formed the letter “N” in opeNing for the grand opening of Tesca Lotus’s Plus Shopping Mall in the Amata Nakhon Industrial Estate in Chon Buri this past Thursday, January 28. The mall cost 700 million baht ($21 million baht) and is expected to attract 30,000 shoppers per week.

Aum said she liked being up there and would probably do it again if someone offered her to.

“Today, I wasn’t scared, during practice I was. I’m actually a person who is very scared of heights. But today, I’m not scared because there are several people hanging together and Tye is holding me too. During practice, we bumped into each other severely and we rocked around. I was scared. When we did it for real, it wasn’t like that, thus I wasn’t scared.  If we bumped into each other, one person would bounce out because the sling will only stop at our waist. If there is work like this offered to me again, I will accept it. Before I used to be scared of heights, now I’m used to it. It’s enjoyable, I like it.”

Because there is a lot buzz about whether Por Natthawut possibly moving to Ch3, reporters there asked Aum if she knew anything about it, since they share the same manager, or whether she is moving to Ch3 too. Aum said she is happy at Ch7 for now but doesn’t know about the future. Her contract won’t expire until a year and a half from now.

“Like I said earlier, I’m not going anywhere. I have a year and half left on my contract. At the moment, I’m happy where I’m working. It’s too far ahead to think about it. I can’t give you a concise answer, right now, I’m staying here and I feel content with here,” said Aum.

Reporters asked if other channels have made contact with her. Aum said she didn’t want to answer that:”I don’t want to talk about the affairs of other channels, can we just talk about Ch7? Lets just say that right now, I’m one of Ch7′s kids and this house is very warm and friendly. Though I share the same manager as Por, I know nothing of this. Lately people have been asking me a lot regarding this and I know nothing of it. Regarding that, we have not talked about it.”

Because of the public’s criticsm on “Kulap Neua Mek (Roses above the cloud)”, Aum did mentioned that their TV ratings have increased and they have been extended by 1 episode.

Would you do this? I would, it looks fun. As for Tye, about moving to a different channel, he has NO intention of leaving Ch3 ever, he plans to stay with Ch3 for 100 years.

2 new lakorns from DIDA productions

First we have Pancake Khemmanid and Vee Veeraparb’s lakorn, “Tawan Yor Saeng (Evening Glow or Sunset Glory or just Tawan Yor Saeng)” that will be airing sometime this month. In the series, Pancake will be playing 3 characters–Duang Pon ( nang’ek’s mother), Tawan /Yor Saeng (nang’ek). Don’t get confuse, Yor Saeng and Tawan are the same person.

‘Tawan Yor Saeng’ is a birth identity lakorn, where the lead character grows up not knowing he or she is a wealthy man’s love child. Pancake will start out the series as Duang Pon, a beautiful woman who falls for a rich man, she becomes pregnant with his child and dies while giving birth to their daughter Tawan.

Tawan grows up not knowing about her biological mother and her rich father and she is raised by a woman to who she believes is her biological mother and an abusive stepmother who wants her sexually. When her mother kills her stepfather in self-defense, she is instructed to go into hiding by her adopted mother. Out in the world,  her true identity begins to unfold itself and she finds her biological father. Because she looks exactly like her mother, her father knows who she is. Isn’t that convenient?

When she starts her new life with her father (or not, I think he dies), her name changes to Yor Saeng and she meets Vee Veeraparb’s character who becomes her uncle, not biological, by marriage. Vee is Ah’Lek or uncle Lek, his older sister is married to Yor Saeng’s father. Lek is a good guy who begins his relationship with Yor Saeng as a doting uncle, but later develops feelings for her and she to him.  Isn’t that a complicated twist of family relations. The uncle by marriage falling in love with his niece to whom he has to care for.

According to Popcornfor2 forums, “Tawan Yor Saeng (Evening Glow or Sunset Glory or just Tawan Yor Saeng)” will replace “Kulap Neua Mek (Roses above the cloud)” on Feb. 9, 2010 for the Monday-Tuesday primetime slot. It will be total of 16 episodes and a film as you go lakorn.

The second lakorn is “Ruk Nai Marn Mek ( A Cloud of Romance)” staring Tle Tanapol and newcomer Min Pechaya, boran actress from “Pla Boo Thong (Golden Fish)”. I know little about this lakorn other than the fact that the nang’ek will be wheelchair bound.

The main cast of “Tawan Yor Saeng” which includes Pancake, Vee, Sammie (nang’rai), and some newcomer I don’t know his name.

Yes, this is lakorn where Pancake will be dressing like a boy.

Ananda speaks about his break up

…with long time girlfriend Saengthong ‘Jeed’ Ket-U-Tong at the CPS CHAPS 30th anniversary with 30 Celebrities in 30 Editions of 1980 Jeans fashion show at the Siam Center shopping center.

“We still understand each other, we have separated; however, we are still friends. It’s really the matter of the minds. There has been changes, so there must be adjustments. It doesn’t feel normal yet. Regarding loneliness, of course, I would be. There is the matter of the experience of having someone always with you. It’s a normal thing, I don’t see myself as any different than other people who have broken up with their boyfriend or girlfriend. Whenever we start dating someone, we don’t hope that we will break up. I’m not the type of person who wants to pass many women. If I met that person, it would be a good thing.”

Why did you break up? “It might have been do to our distance, our differences of what we want, because of work, something along those lines. It was something I have talked to Jeed about for a long time.”

Ananda continue to say that their is a chance of them getting back together, he sees this moment as break to evaluate what they want.

“I’m not the type of person who breaks up with someone and everything changes, I would still love that person. Right now we are adjusting ourselves separately. It is difficult for me to summarized how things are because it is still fresh. I had no intentions of having the news (about their break up) come out so quickly. Since there is news about a third party involvement, we thought it was best to make it clear that we are just friends. There were several reasons, it had to do with us, and no one else was involve.”

And NO, Ja Natthaweeranuch, that actress who is linked with everyone, is not the third hand in their break up.

“This is the nature of the news, when I was dating Jeed, there were news I was with this person and that person. As for Ja, she is not involve. We talk to each other like normal. She did come and ask for my advise and I told her to just speak the truth. This is not the first time I have been in the news with Ja. It has been frequent, every year, ” explained Ananda.

If you don’t care about Ananda and his break up news, you can just focus on 14 year old ‘Kao’ Jirayu La-ongmanee, he was there at the event too. More pictures of other stars at the event here. There pictures are from Tuesday, January 26.
