Thirteen year old, ‘Ploy’ Patsorn Kongmeesuk, who rocketed to fame in the Thai film ” The Happiness of Kati” found filming for the upcoming Modern 9 lakorn “Tai Fah Tawan Diew (Under the same Heaven or Autumn Destiny)” with Mario Maurer and Chat Priayachat and several Korean pop stars very disheartening because she was repeatedly criticized for her acting.
“It was very difficult. When it was tiring, I had to endure it. At times, I have to admit, it was very disheartening, there were times I cried. But I’m lucky to have good parents, they gave me support. They told me it’s okay. You can be disheartened but you can’t give up, ” said Ploy.
Ploy was the youngest cast member and the one who was heavily criticized for her acting. “I was the youngest and I received a lot of criticism for my acting. During the love scenes, they said my look was very blank (empty), there was nothing there. When there was a long scene and you have to use your eyesight to express the meaning (the emotions of the scene), my look was blank again. There was nothing again.”
She cried heavily over the criticism. Luckily for her, she had supportive co-stars who gave her support and taught her to act better. “I cried a lot; however, my co-stars help teach me and gave me support. Right now, I might be lacking in my performance, I do apologize, but I will try to improve myself,” Ploy told the press.
Was it really that bad? I heard she was riveting in “The Happiness of Kati”.
I can’t believe they asked her this but they did, there is a rumor that Ploy had undergone plastic surgery in Korea and reporters asked her about it. She’s 13, I think it would be unethical if she did. Ploy said she had nothing done. “I have not done anything because I fear pain.”
Rumor has it that she has had 5 procedures done. Again, Ploy denied it. “What do you want me to have done? This is my chin, these are my eyes.” Though Ploy denied the plastic surgery rumor, the reporters pressed on and asked her more questions. She was ordered by her manager Ae to have something done. Again, for the 3rd time, she denied it. They have gone to see a doctor about her eyes but the doctors said she was too young, she is only 13.
Then they asked if Eli, from the Korean boyband U-kiss, secretly liked her because he did complimented her by saying she was narak (cute). Ploy doesn’t believe so. He probably sees her as a younger sister more so.
“He likes me as a younger sister more so because I’m a good talker, even though I get scolded or when I cry, either way I talk a lot, I’m a good talker. Personally, I like him only as an older brother.”
Pictures of Eli (real name: Kim Kyoung Jae) from the upcoming Modern 9 lakorn “Tai Fah Tawan Diew (Under the same Heaven or Autumn Destiny)” airing Saturday, January 16, 2010.
In the lakorn-Korean drama fusion, Ploy plays a young girl name Ji Joon, Eli plays Junsu, the guy her aunt wants her to marry. But Ji Joon loves Kim Minho (Mario Maurer), our lead guy.

Pictures from the lakorn press conference a few days ago….
Our lead actress/our nang’ek Chat Priayachat, Lee Hae Woo (he was in kdrama “Boys Over Flowers”, he was the guy who drugged Jandi in the 4th episode), Ryan (Joo Jong Hyuk) from the Korean boyband Paran, then there is Mario Maurer in heavy make-up and looking like Pinocchio. Good gosh man, what have they done to you?

Here’s Ploy and Mario at the press conference
Ploy is turning 14 on January 23, 2010. My goodness, she is so young. Can’t believe it.

More pictures of Eli
Lee Hae Woo

It’s Kim Kibum of U-Kiss not Kim Kibum of Super Junior.

Yea, May Fuengarom is in here too, she plays Ploy’s evil aunt.

Ryan is playing Chat’s boyfriend in the series. They met while studying in America.
Mario plays a young man who is out for a revenge on the man who he believes caused his father’s death. The man is Lee Chong Soo (“Ning” Nirut Sirijanya), Ji Joon (Ploy)’s father and Wendy (Chat)’s long lost father.
Ploy and Chat play half-sisters. Chat plays Wendy a half Thai-Korean young woman who goes to Thailand in search of her father to whom she believed abandoned her Thai mother.

This is VERY interesting to me.. haha..something very new that im soo gonna have to watch.
lol, they are so funny so is only 13 common. she is still going to grow up.
by the way the wedding dress in the last picture is really pretty…
Ploy’s acting in that Kati film was wooden, toneless and horrible…she sounded like she was reading from a script. It also had way too much dialogue. I could barely stay awake.
With a new director and/or writer, she might shine. But by the looks of it, NOT.
I’m sry but a 13 year old girl playing love scence and wearing supa dupa high heels ( saw that in a behind the sence video) !? I actually thought this wasn’t alowed in Thai Tv, well there are usally no real kisses for example. But a 13 year old girl can play love sences. – How old is her caractar in the movie btw? – And what about the parents? Why do they allow this…
I think a love scene would be ok if it was a teenager movie or sth like that…
The movie acutally seems to be going interesting^^…and the only thing that is actually driving me crazy is that she’s only 13!!!
And I’m sry if this sounds harsh or whatever…
Okk.. imma bit iffy about this to korean -thai fusion. I never heard of a lakorn like this.. is this new?? And WTF did they ask her did she have plastic surgery? HELLO SHE’S ONLY 13!!! BTW what’s up with her playing a 21 year old woman.. and a love scene SHE’S TOO YOUNG!! How are they gonna communicate, can those korean guys speak thai O.o I am soo gonna watch this.. though. Soo curious about this lakorn….
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!
Something about this lakorn- Korean drama.
Yes..I can’t wait for it.. =D
what’s the song in the trailer called?
even though the “thai to korean” comment is a bit harsh, i have to agree. i guess that thailand is fusion of everything, but it would be nice if we would stop filming our lakorns in japan or koreani meani understand that in korea, they like to film abroad but it just feels different when thailand does it. i’m thai, so i feel a litle bit iffy but this drama looks interesting
i’m jealous…i wish i was nong ploy. she’s way to young to play in a drama that involves love scenes. i’m so jealous…that she’s sooo cute. hahah.
I hope somebody will sub this!
my first thought reading the title, korean drama??
Wow..she doesn’t look 13 she looks a bit older..haha…well im kinda actually looking forward to watching this it soudns good…haha..
I didn’t think I’d watch it. It’s too korean to me and I’m old.
But after watching the trailler, I think I def will watch it.
This is a typical slap& kiss thai lakorn in Korean scene.
I can’t wait.
oh man, she’s only 13?? and they gave her a love scene and complained her look was “blank”?? WTH! they should’ve picked someone older…13 yo and a love scene??
cut her some slack in acting, she’ll do better given time..
this lakorn caught my attention..thai and korean fusion..uhm, what language do they say to communicate?? i’m curious
i agree w/ the person above. they should’ve add some thai culture, aspects to it. it doesn’t really seem korean-thai fusion. it’s like mostly korean w/ a hint of thai. the thai actors should’ve just played thai characters w/ thai names. i have nothing against koreans. i do love both korean dramas and thai lakorns. but i’m feeling iffy about this. it does look interesting though. i wonder what language will they be mostly speaking to each other. i see in the clip, the thai/korean girl speaks thai. i wonder what language the thai actors communicate in w/ korean actors.
anyhoo, but yeah that girl is soooo young! a 13 y/o w/ a 21 y/o??? that doesn’t seem right.
i beliEve that if u are Thai…………PLEASE “stay tRue” to u’r own CULTURE. b/c the picture, they pRetty much look like Korean or would i say “wanaBe”. it mean its not snything bad but come on!!!!! dont think that im a b**** or anything b/c i LOVE watching Korean,Thai, Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanse and Indian film. but most of all, dont try to be like other cUlture that u are not b/c in u’r heaRt u know who u tRueally are.
