Weir is a daddy!

In real life, Weir is turning 25 this April. In the upcoming weekend lakorn on Ch7, “Phaw Nu bpen Superstar (My dad is a SUPERSTAR)”, Weir is playing a 30 year old man who has a 15 year old daughter. Ya, a 15 year old daughter. Can you believe it? Jakajan Akumsiri is his leading lady in this lakorn and the mother of his daughter played by newcomer “Ying” Ploypapat Thananchaikarn.
Weir is Danthep in this lakorn. Danthep is an entertainer, a triple threat, he’s a dancer/singer/actor. He’s got everything going for him. He’s dating Praifa (Grace Karnklao), a supermodel and they are going to get engage in a month. Everything is peachy until he receives a puzzling email from a young girl name Aida or Aidaya who is claiming him to be her father and Kate (Jakajaan), Danthep’s former girlfriend from years and years ago, as her mother. Another big whopper, Aida intends to come to Thailand to see him. The email troubles Danthep, so he tells his personal assistant Pung (Oliver Beaver) that roughly 15 years ago, he might have gotten a girl pregnant one summer in Holland, the girl is Kate. Without finding out the truth, Kate’s mother lies to him and barred him from seeing Kate ever again, so he doesn’t feel sure if Aida is his daughter. Regardless if it is true or not, he knows it could get messy if people knew the details of his relationship with Aida. He is an entertainer and having a love-child at such a young age, true or not, it will be a BIG SCANDAL. He has to control the situation.
Aida does come to Thailand and Danthep does allow her to stay with him. I’m assuming to control the situation. Then Kate comes to Thailand to look for Aida. To her surprise, her daughter Aida is with Danthep, the man she has been avoiding for years.
For years, Kate believed that Danthep abandoned her and didn’t want to take responsibility for their child, but this is all a misunderstanding feed to her by her mother. In truth, Danthep never knew about her pregnancy. With Aida in Thailand and staying with Danthep, Kate and Danthep meet again, and life becomes more complicated for Danthep because one, he still has feelings for Kate. Two, he now has a big secret to hide from the public.
I’m not sure when “Phaw Nu bpen Superstar (My dad is a SUPERSTAR)” will air, different places have different air dates. At Sanook, it said January 8, 2010, but that alien lakorn starring Por and Pung hasn’t even ended yet. I don’t know the exact date but I can assure you it will be soon, maybe this week or next.

Weir and Jakajaan are two young parents.
Oliver Beaver and Pear Pornrampa play side characters. Oliver is Pung, Danthep’s personal assistant. Pear is Oh, Kate’s friend.
You can tell from these pictures, Weir is going to play the fun parent while Jakajaan is the strict one. Look at how he is hugging her with all the junk food while Jakajaan is looking on grudgingly with one noodle bag.
Tengnueng is Keta, Danthep’s rival entertainer from the same company. He is envious of Danthep’s fame and wants to bring him down. Grace is Danthep’s girlfriend Praifah.

AHhhh can’t wait for this to be subbed?..is it going to be subbed?..jwing!..I love Weir absolutely and i can’t not wait for this to be subbed (plz :puppy-dog eyes:)….welll i agree with everyone else, the daughter should be younger like, 12 or 10 or something..makes the lakorn more ohhhhh…ahhhh…oh no he didn’t!!…lol…

I personally enjoyed this lakorn when it first aired, but Aida’s (Ying) behavior of a fifteen year old is not accurate in my opinion. Being a fifteen year old, she’s already half-way through being a teenager (therefore, maturing) yet in the lakorn, they make her act like she’s 5 or something. She’s far too childish and never takes anything seriously, which got a bit annoying.

To Leela: Well they did say that he made her pregnant at the age of 15-16 and then it goes 15 years later so he would be 30-31 and his daughter would be 15, its not that hard to imagine. The only thing hard to imagine it jukajun being that age, Jukajun is only 25. But i think ill watch it anyway, it looks interesting. Even though i dont like the idea of a teenage pregnancy.

they cast the wrong girl as the daughter she looks way too old to be 15….she looks about 18-20 to me…

It makes perfect sense to me. Wier does look in that age area. Heck I thought he was the same age as Ken. They could have made the little girl 12 years old at least and with a girl who is actually 12 and looks around that age. Ying looks like a typical 18 year old here. And plus for the first time, young parent makes sense. It’s not like a 28 year old looking mother with a daughter who is 20-24.

I’d have to skip this one..they’ve chosen the wrong casts for this lakorn. They either need to change the parents or the daughter. Weir is a good actor, but it’s hard to imagine him with a daughter that old..

KC : Hey now that you mention it, looking at the two pics together does look very similar, huh. Lucky that it’s just a fanmade wallpaper then a official wallpaper or Ch7 might have been sued.
