We haven’t talked in 4 years

Who is lying and who is telling the truth, now that is the question.

Tak “Volcano boobs” Bongkot Kongmalai, an actress with a reputation, has always maintain that she has a good relationship with singer and actor Jay Monton Jira, she has even implied that she lived with him and that they are in some kind of relationship. Now Jay has come forward and said Tak is living in some kind of fantasy world. They haven’t talked in 3-4 years, Jay has accused Tak of linking herself to him for publicity purposes.  She has nothing going on at the moment and she needs attention. That was harsh. He bluntly said that without remorse. I know it was harsh, but I find it all very amazing amusing (I swear I need to read what I write) though I have no interest in their careers. So now their is feud between them and he has no plans to ‘clear’ this matter with her ever.

“Right now, I’m not in a relationship, I broke up with my girlfriend in the middle of last year, roughly 8-9 months ago. With Tak, I haven’t been talking to her na krap. (However, there is a rumor that you are?) “That’s correct, I heard that too, someone told me that, but you have to go ask Tak about that because I know nothing about it. The last time we talked was when we filmed the movie “Pop Star”, back in 2006, it’s been awhile.” (Recently, there is news that Tak moved out of her house.) “That’s correct, I heard that she moved her belongings to live in my house, but in truth that is not the case at all (laughs).”(She has even said that you asked her ‘are you in a rush for work’ and you even forgot to put on your shoes) “Really? (he said with a raised voice) OH…that’s something (laughs). There is something like this too. That’s just impossible. At this moment, she doesn’t have work, right, but I don’t know for sure. However, every actress, how do I say this. Is this fantasy or what? Like her, many people are like this. Maybe she is too ‘in’ to her character, I’m not sure.” (Are you angry if by chance is she is making this up?)”I’m not angry, I know that rumors are helpful too, am I right?”

When you say that, you are implying she is just trying to generate publicity for herself. “Oh, doesn’t she know right now that my movie is coming out soon (Smiles). It’s possible, I don’t know for sure.”

In the past, you two have always been friends? “That’s correct, we were friends, in the past, we have even traveled together, worked together when we filmed a movie together back in 2006. To be confronted with news like this, it makes me confuse, it’s pretty funny also. Even my father has laughed about it. My father’s friends have even asked him if I was dating Tak Bongkot or not. My dad would answer, I have not even said them together.”

Have you talked to her since the news broke out? “I have not, I consider myself above it. I won’t. I have been in the entertainment for a long time now, I understand.”

So you will never clear it with her? “What for? You should call and interrogate my neighbors, if you want to know if it is true or not.”

If you see each other, will you stare at each other (I think they mean to look at each other with scorn)? “No, I have known her since she dated Johnny, I know how she is. I should know that Tak is like this or not.”

You are saying, you know her personality. “That’s correct, I’m not saying anything. I’m not angry. I understand that sometimes it is necessary in this industry. To prolong your stay in the entertainment industry, you have to think of ways to raise yourself up a little.”

Aren’t you scared, she might call and yell at you. “The truth is, I have talked about Tak often, but she doesn’t know. She is like….(became still). If I saw her again, I would understand if she was like that.”

Tak is a woman who speaks frankly, people tend to believe her, people might say you are not a gentleman. “I can understand that. But I don’t know what to do. Should I say that she has moved into my house already and has moved out now? I insist you ask Yam (laughs) or Dan (Danai Jira), or better yet, ask his girlfriend.”

So you can say that since you returned to Thailand, you have not talked to Tak since 2006. “That’s correct. We finished filming since the beginning of 2007, since then, we have not talked.”

To me, he pretty much slapped her in the face for all to see. That’s pretty harsh. I like his frankness though it was not gentleman-like at all.

Sorry, I’m not a Tom

Many are eying Min Pechaya as the next big thing. She was well-received for her boran lakorn (historical series), “Pla Boo Thong (Golden Fish)” and has even been casted in a prime time lakorn  “Ruk Nai Marn Mek (A Cloud of Romance)” with Tle Tanapol for Dida productions. She is the girl to look out for, many are saying.

To look at her now, many would say she is a beautiful and graceful young woman, back when, during her secondary school years, it was quite a different story. People thought she was a tom (lesbian) and she was even asked out by girls who were toms.

“Back during my secondary school years, I played basketball for the school so I would cut my hair short, always up to my ears. Even my mother wondered if I was a tom or not, ” says Min about how she looked during her secondary school years.

“But I’m not, not one bit,” answered Min about not being a lesbian. She might look like one, but she wasn’t. Her look confused people and girls even asked her out on dates.

When she went to Montana as an exchange student, she started to change her look and grew her hair long.

“The reason I grew out my hair was because it was expensive to get a haircut there (the US), so I had to let my hair grow out and had intended to get it cut in Thailand. Then by chance, someone invited me to signed up for the Miss Teen Thailand pageant, consequently it made me realize that long hair made my face look gentle as well.”

Nat Myria returns to lakorns as a child snatcher

Nat Myria returns to the small screen as a criminal and a kidnapper in the lakorn “Trabap  See Kao (White Sin)” for Exact-Scenario on Ch5, currently in production.

“Trabap  See Kao (White Sin)” centers around 3 best friends: Duanphen (Nat Myria), Kaewta (“Jeab” Sopitnapa Choompanee), and Kameuay (“Pei” Parnward Hemmanee) who grew up together in an orphanage. The 3 women loved each other as true blood sisters.

Later on in their lives, destiny trapped them together as all 3 were involved in a murder and the unintentional kidnapping of an infant child name “Songkran” from his father Anon (Tang Saksit).

To avoid punishment, they changed their names and went underground and moved to Bangkok to wait until the investigation/case passed its limit. Once that occurred, they can live out in the open again. But fate played a cruel joke on them when Anon met Songkran (“Singto” Singharat Chanphakdee) again and did not know Songkran was his long-lost son. To complicate matters, Anon falls madly in love with Kaewta and believes she is Songkran’s biological mother, to which she is not.  Now we have our lakorn question, what will Anon (Tang Saksit) do when he learns that Songkran is his biological son and what will he do to Duanphen, Kaewta, and Kameuay when he learns they were involve in his wife’s murder? I don’t know, since this is a lakorn, forgive them and moved on with his life and marry Kaewta because the murder was probably accidental or someone else committed it.

Singer turned actor Singto plays the grown-up “Songkran”, the child who was abducted by Nat, Pei, and Jeab. Ploy Patsorn is his love interest.

Boom shows off her body to encourage women

Oh please, lets face it you only did it for the moolah and your dwindling career. To encourage women, ha!

“Boom” Panadda Wongphoodee posed in various bikinis for “Poo Ying (Woman)” magazine for their March 2010 issue because she looks good and to encouragement to women who are in their 30s, have kids, and are not thin.

“The opinions (about her sexy magazine cover) was very good. I’m not a person who is thin, I’m a  thick woman, but I’m firm. It’s encouragement for many women who one, is over 30. Two, has kids already. And three, has a busy work schedule. They can not make an excuse for themselves now and say that they can not be beautiful too.”—woman, what are you talking about, you got lipo, like we don’t know. And, you make more than the average Thai career woman and it seems to me like you’re unemployed. Where is the lakorn, yo? I’m sure you have a lot of free to run to the gym 3-4 times a week.

Boom will continue to pose sexily in bikinis for magazine covers until they stop offering. “As long as they will hire me,” says Boom. “I believe they are still respecting me since they believe I’m still marketable. They like something unusual and continue to hire me (smiles). As a result, it is good for me too, it makes me take care of myself .”

Pictures of Kwan’s lakorn “Hong Fah”

Kwan’s lakorn “Hong fah” will roll out this April 2nd, 2010. The plot is very typical of a lakorn.

Kwan is a princess who grew up in the slums. Her father is a Prince of a small country in Northern Thailand, he courted and impregnated her mother when they lived in America. He then abandoned her mother when she was 8-9 months pregnant because of political reasons. Her mother comes back to Thailand and is sent to the provinces to give birth.

Her grandmother had betrothed her mother to a rich business man. Because she wanted the wedding to go through, she sent very pregnant daughter to a country province to give birth and then had the baby kidnapped and abandoned in the slums. What a great grandmother!

I’ll just leave it at that.

Cute red dress, at least she’ll look pretty. I can’t say much for the plotline.
