It will tarnish no one’s reputation…

Says Kai Varayuth’s about the overly-sexual  female lead role of “E-Pan” for his lakorn “Duangta Sawan (An Eye for Paradise)” for Ch3. Several leading Ch3 actresses from “Cherry” Khemupsorn Sirisukha to  Janie Tienposuwan have dropped out of the project in fear they will lose their good girl image once they take on the role of “E-Pan”, an avant garde type of woman, whatever she wants, she must have. She is even willing to invest her body to assault a man that she loves.

Kai has nominated Katreeya English, who is currently filming “Faet, na ya (Twin, na ya)” with “Por” Thrisadee Sahawong, one of Kai’s lakorns in production. He has not gotten the ‘okay go’ green light from his Ch3 bosses so he doesn’t want to say much.

“Right now, we are waiting for the channel to decide who will play who. We send out 2 problems, the role of E-pang and Khun Ying On for them to choose, 2 problems for them to choose the pair because they are from different generational gaps. As for the younger generation, we set it up for the younger generation. Higher up, we will set it up for the higher generation.”

Reporters then asked Kai about Katreeya English taking on the role of “E-Pan”, regarding that he doesn’t know though he did nominate her. “That, I don’t know because the Channel has not told me anything, I did nominate her. Right now, we have to wait for the Channel to decide. Truthfully I want both couples. I want either generation because I have already arranged it and I like both couples. The thing is that I have already chosen all the characters already since Janie backed out. I sat down to consider which couple was suitable for each other.”

As for “Joy” Rinlanee Sripen being “E-Pan”, she was never in the running, he was shocked that she was even mentioned.

Playing the “E-Pan” role will not tarnish anyone’s reputation because there are restrictions to making lakorns, says Kai.

“This lakorn will not tarnish anyone’s reputation because what lakorn can do that? Know that to assault but there is no assault. It is more about talking about it. It’s more about her saying, who has had that is all. Whoever takes this role will be born (meaning to be more popular, more recognizable), and they will gain more skill in the craft of acting. This character is not more distinguished than any other nang’ek role. Nang’ek must be aggressive, but not to the point where she is evil. It won’t be part of her character, this won’t be about fierce competition. The more the nang’ek is good, the more the nang’rai (girl villain) will appear villainous. Thus, the character will be both good and evil. It will make the lakorn outstanding in both regards.”

Someone should just take the role. How about Ploy Cherman, someone suggested. She has played this type of role before.

Kao and Aum in a lakorn together

I look forward to this, Kao has signed with Polypus production and they already have a lakorn lined up for him titled, “Koo Kaen Saen Ruk (My Beloved Foe)” with “Aum” Patcharapa Chaichuea of all people. Aum joked that she would be frighten to be playing a lakorn with 14 year old Kao, they might have a rumor together.

Kao:”Right now, Polypus has a lakorn for me already. We will start filming soon, we are currently preparing for it, but I don’t have that much information about it. In the news, they said I will be paired with P’Aum, we are in the same lakorn together, but I don’t know if we will see each other or not. But it is a good thing, she has a good temperament. I met her once, she is very lovable. If we were to work together, there would be happiness. P’Aum said she would be frighten to work with me. Because she feared having a rumor with me? Really? OH-ho. I don’t take it seriously. I just hope it is good news about us (laughs).”—Can you believe this kid, he is older than his years. He’s still 14, he will turn 15 this coming October, that is a long way to go.

Not only is his acting career soaring, there is interest in his music career. He is a guitarist for his band, ‘Real Men’. There is a rumor that Khun Paiboon Damrongchaitham, head honcho of Grammy records wants to sign Kao as an artist. Kao said, he knows nothing of it. His mommy dearest handles all his business affairs. He loves music but he knows he is not talented enough. I heard him sing and play his guitar, he needs to practice.

“If you asked if I was interested, I am. I like it. I love music. It suits me. Right now, if I was to go into for real, I’m not good enough. I don’t have the capabilities yet. I just like it. If I was serious about it, I would need to go study it more. Regarding music, it would have a wait. I would have to work in a field that I have skilled for now. I like easy-listening music, but truthfully I also like a variety of music. I don’t know what I really like, I have to wait and see.”

Thai Netizens at Manager news website mocked Kao for being a suck up, giving out praises to easily to Aum and others praised him for being a mature lad at such a young age.

Some people came out to defend Kao: “Kao was just saying, what people nowadays can’t give out praises? ‘I’m indifferent, she is not that cute.’ should he have said that?”

Another Thai netizen defending Kao wrote:”Kao should have answered like this: Oy! There is no way. P’Aum can be my mother. I’m only playing a lakorn with her because she is nang’ek. She is only marketable because our society is deteriorating. She likes to dress sexily, I have to compose myself because I have to listen to my elders who only care about money. Regarding me acting like a 4 legged animal, I won’t do it. My mother taught me it isn’t good, either way we are human.”–is this enough to please the moans and groans of the social whiners. Mostly they are valiant behind their keyboards, but to do it for real, they are scared.”

People praising Kao wrote this:”Kao is an intelligent boy, he thinks before he speaks. To compliment another person is good manners, we ought not talk bad about him.”

“When Kao grows up, he will be so adorable. Do you agree?”—I’m sure that is from one of his fangirls.

Also some people can’t believe Kao and Aum might be paired up together, they pointed out that Kao is 14 and Aum is in her 30s, she could be his mother. People just love to hate on Aum.
