Kwan is difficult on the set of “Heavenly Swan”

I have seen the video of “Kwan” Usamanee Waitayanon refusing to jump into the water as instructed by the director of her upcoming lakorn for Ch7, “Heavenly Swan (Hong Fah)” and the director complaining, “you don’t want to cry and now you don’t want to jump in?” It was filmed and hopefully Kwan is not stupid enough to act spoiled on camera. Kwan has a negative image, is she stupid enough to continue that trend? She is known as the “goddess of scandals and feuds”.

Kwan said she was joking and she is not being difficult. You have to wonder and judge for yourself. You can watch the video here. Sorry for non-Thai speakers, it’s in Thai only. Kwan, hopefully joking, explained that you don’t have to do everything realistically, the camera can be used to deceive the viewers. She also said, you have to examine time and cost. If it is worth it, then you do it.

“The thing is when you’re acting in a lakorn, you have to examine what is important. If it is not necessary to jump into the water, you have to consider whether is wasteful for the set or whether it is wasting time. You have to consider time and whether it is worth the cost. If it is not worth the time or cost, then you don’t do it.”

Tle Thanapol, who sat next to Kwan when she said that, looked dumbfounded observed by one Thai netizen and said, “really?”

According to Kwan, she wouldn’t dare to act difficult, Khun Daeng (head honcho of Ch7) might not give her anymore work.

About refusing to jump into the water on cue, Kwan said this:”The director didn’t tell me to jump in. As an actress, I have to listen to whatever the director says. But he didn’t tell me to. Why would I jump in for? I don’t know where this news came from. If this news was leaked, it would have been from someone on set. But I don’t think anyone on set would want to harm any actor or actresses ,especially Kantana (a production company). I grew up in Kantana, since I was kid. There is probably no one there who would want to harm me.”

“Now as for the crying when they instructed me, there have been incidences of that. But I was just joking, when that time came, I did cry. Every lakorn, don’t you see me cry? For every scene, I always say, I don’t want to cry. But in the end, I do it. Because it is my responsibility. What else do you want? Occasionally, I’m just a kid who jokes around. When it’s time to work, I work. As for the matter for not wanting to cry and me saying to everyone on set that I don’t want to do this or don’t want to cry now because I was tired, something along those lines. But in the end, I did do it. Because it is my job. It’s work for the public. If I don’t do it, Aunt Daeng, won’t give me work. That won’t do, thus I have to do it.”

–Hold up, did she just refer to Khun Daeng, her boss, as Aunt (bpaa). To me, that sounded really disrespectful. You call a market lady ‘bpaa (auntie)’ or your biological aunt ‘bpaa’ or some random older lady who you don’t know ‘bpaa’, not your boss to whom you have a strain relationship with, according to the media.

Kwan doesn’t mind these types of news at all. “To have news like this, it’s a good thing. We can all get use to it and understand that this is a normal thing for me. Majority of the time on set, I have known these people (crew members) since I was a kid so I feel at ease. I’m not scared that they will think that I’m difficult. On set, all of the crew members know that if the director instructs me to leap over a building, jump into the water, I will do it. Because there is safety set for the actors and actresses to do so.”

People at Manager news website don’t seem to believe her. One Thai netizen wrote: “From what I saw on the 9 Entertainment show, that’s not right. The director said to jump in but you didn’t and the director mumbled. Your pra’ek even made a dumbfounded face at you, it’s not what you are saying now. Go back and watch the show. If you can’t remember, then you must be a kid who has Alzheimer.”

Another Thai netizen said: “Kwan is not difficult, she is just spoiled.”

    Oh, the drama.

I like Kwan so much when she’s in dramas, because she’s very different in her dramas. She’s not overloaded with makeup, she dresses more casual, her hair looks fresh, her personality’s sweet but off screen, she looks totally different. However; I don’t waste any of my time watching her dramas because they’re not worth it. I don’t want to watch someone’s drama where they’re so cute, pretty, and down to earth on screen, then everywhere else, they’re just “whatever…” I wouldn’t label Kwan bad because all the things she’s done aren’t “bad”, maybe she just likes the attention. But then again, she’s not consider “good” either.

It’s so OBVIOUS that Thai reporters and ALOT of other people doesn’t like Kwan already. Im not surprise at any of these tabloi news, Kwan is Kwan and she will CONTINUE TO BE Kwan. She doesn’t want to do it then so be it, in the end she end up doing it so what. You can only ask for so much from an Actress and Actor, other than that we should rely on that they will DO EVERYTHING.

yes Chinese fan (CC and Sara), YOU SEE I didn’t PRETEND to actually KNOW Kwan personally, we comment here as we see it.

What I don’t like is that you people bashing those people who comment differently than you.

Can’t you accept it ? is that too hard for you? can’t you be mature about defending Kwan?? you defend her by spamming and bashing those who comment against her.And now you also bash Lyn saying she’s not objective??…is that a mature act?? more like childish.

Like you I am not Thai but I am not ‘blindly loyal’.

celebs are NOT perfect. Of course they make mistakes. Kwan is no different. Don’t treat her like an angel.

IF YOU bothered to read, then you will know that most like Kwan as an actress but not her attitude.

I am a Chinese,I feel really sorry about what some kwan’s Chinese fan did here. It’s defenitely inproper. We should just act maturely and respect each other.I’d like to say sorry for them(or maybe she?)It’s just individual behavior. Not every Chinese fan acts like that.Sincerely sorry!!!

We can see kwan’s every news from different webs, not only bannkwan、kwanfanc. No matter what,
I think it should be judged from an objective point of view. but in here, I don’t think there exist.
We like kwan, and we don’t blindly believe her, we have seen from many webs about the news, including video, and we understand Thai language, we are not just judge from what she said , then go to judge this event authenticity.
By the way, please forgive my rude,
i want to ask thai friends a question.
In your country,a person is perfection or not depending on her background? We really didn’t understand the view!
well, anyway, our chinese fans still love kwan and support her!

I think your question is the most appropriate answer to youself. HOW DO YOU KNOW TOO??
we watched the same redeo and translation, but we have different judgement.that’s the main poiont.different views depends on different interests、attitude or belief and so on. so you can hold on your criticism and we can keep our belief.i don’t think this would be described as “blindly”.
by the way, some of us know Thai. Thanks!

I also hvae seen the vedio and the translations of the news on other web,I think Lyn’s translation is not very objective, clearly ,she doesn’t like kwan,if you really like kwan, than you should know what she is,though I am not in thailand, but I don’t know less than you about her,I go to baankwan and other thai website everyday ,I know much about her,we are not blindly,we know her and we believe her,it doesn’t matter that you don’t believe her,we just support her for ourselves, well, this is my last comment,I don’t want to say any more with you,we couldn’t understand each other, that‘s all。

Actually, I don’t mind Kwan, I don’t dislike or like her, I’m neutral. It was just in the news that she was being difficult, to be honest, I didn’t think it was that bad. Yea, the director sounded annoyed, and Tle was flabbergasted by her comment, and some Thais are annoyed by her, still to me it wasn’t that bad. I got the news from Manager news website, Manager is not objective at all when it comes to Kwan, lets face it they hate Kwan. Actually, Manager hates everyone. I think people need to let it go, this is just one negative news about Kwan, there will be more. Or maybe not. Everyone in show business will have something negative written about them, in the case of Kwan, more than others. But who gives. It’s show business. Like I alway say, watch lakorns. Don’t play attention to gossip.

    Lyn :)

i really liked Kwan when her lakorn with Oil came out…i found her very adorable and enjoyable to watch….but when a lot of negative scandals started coming out about her…i began to wonder if she is really like that…and then it became difficult for me to watch her lakorns because those whenever i see her, all i can think about are those scandals….

i really hoped she change her ways a little and bring back some positive light back to her…

    espresso Says:

yes CC, you just said it YOURSELF that you know she’s a GOOD GIRL. Like i asked earlier and you haven’t answered yet, HOW DO YOU KNOW?? do you know her personally?? or just relied on her interviews??

YES, i agree that media tends to exaggerate things but we have the video and Lyn’s translation now, don’t we?

I like Kwan too but I am not like some fans who are blindly loyal that they tend to overlook her rudeness.

I am not stopping you from defending KWAN, BUT have the decency to accept other people’s opinion about her!

  14. 32
    cc Says:

    To espresso:
I have seen the video you say, clearly, kwan is just joking with others, yeah,we all don’t know the fact very clearly, but you should not be certain that kwan is wrong, what media says are not alwanys be true,I have like her for a long time, she is one of the favorite thai stars in china,I have seen many vedios and news about her and I know that she is a good girl, not a bad girl like thai media say,you should not believe everything media told you,but think by yourselves, well,I would not say more, the last,we chinese fans support kwan forever。

  15. 31
    sara Says:

yes, I agree with you.we’re equal to each other. Both of us are not the judiciary.
you have the right to sentence kwan to be guilty. We have the right to trust her.we’d better respect each other’s opinion.
