I have seen the video of “Kwan” Usamanee Waitayanon refusing to jump into the water as instructed by the director of her upcoming lakorn for Ch7, “Heavenly Swan (Hong Fah)” and the director complaining, “you don’t want to cry and now you don’t want to jump in?” It was filmed and hopefully Kwan is not stupid enough to act spoiled on camera. Kwan has a negative image, is she stupid enough to continue that trend? She is known as the “goddess of scandals and feuds”.
Kwan said she was joking and she is not being difficult. You have to wonder and judge for yourself. You can watch the video here. Sorry for non-Thai speakers, it’s in Thai only. Kwan, hopefully joking, explained that you don’t have to do everything realistically, the camera can be used to deceive the viewers. She also said, you have to examine time and cost. If it is worth it, then you do it.
“The thing is when you’re acting in a lakorn, you have to examine what is important. If it is not necessary to jump into the water, you have to consider whether is wasteful for the set or whether it is wasting time. You have to consider time and whether it is worth the cost. If it is not worth the time or cost, then you don’t do it.”
Tle Thanapol, who sat next to Kwan when she said that, looked dumbfounded observed by one Thai netizen and said, “really?”
According to Kwan, she wouldn’t dare to act difficult, Khun Daeng (head honcho of Ch7) might not give her anymore work.
About refusing to jump into the water on cue, Kwan said this:”The director didn’t tell me to jump in. As an actress, I have to listen to whatever the director says. But he didn’t tell me to. Why would I jump in for? I don’t know where this news came from. If this news was leaked, it would have been from someone on set. But I don’t think anyone on set would want to harm any actor or actresses ,especially Kantana (a production company). I grew up in Kantana, since I was kid. There is probably no one there who would want to harm me.”
“Now as for the crying when they instructed me, there have been incidences of that. But I was just joking, when that time came, I did cry. Every lakorn, don’t you see me cry? For every scene, I always say, I don’t want to cry. But in the end, I do it. Because it is my responsibility. What else do you want? Occasionally, I’m just a kid who jokes around. When it’s time to work, I work. As for the matter for not wanting to cry and me saying to everyone on set that I don’t want to do this or don’t want to cry now because I was tired, something along those lines. But in the end, I did do it. Because it is my job. It’s work for the public. If I don’t do it, Aunt Daeng, won’t give me work. That won’t do, thus I have to do it.”
–Hold up, did she just refer to Khun Daeng, her boss, as Aunt (bpaa). To me, that sounded really disrespectful. You call a market lady ‘bpaa (auntie)’ or your biological aunt ‘bpaa’ or some random older lady who you don’t know ‘bpaa’, not your boss to whom you have a strain relationship with, according to the media.
Kwan doesn’t mind these types of news at all. “To have news like this, it’s a good thing. We can all get use to it and understand that this is a normal thing for me. Majority of the time on set, I have known these people (crew members) since I was a kid so I feel at ease. I’m not scared that they will think that I’m difficult. On set, all of the crew members know that if the director instructs me to leap over a building, jump into the water, I will do it. Because there is safety set for the actors and actresses to do so.”
People at Manager news website don’t seem to believe her. One Thai netizen wrote: “From what I saw on the 9 Entertainment show, that’s not right. The director said to jump in but you didn’t and the director mumbled. Your pra’ek even made a dumbfounded face at you, it’s not what you are saying now. Go back and watch the show. If you can’t remember, then you must be a kid who has Alzheimer.”
Another Thai netizen said: “Kwan is not difficult, she is just spoiled.”

Most of these comments I read is nothing but people going blah…blah…blah… blah… on and on and on… about NOTHINGNESS!
I saw the video and read the news, and I don’t see what’s the big deals is all about. Peoples, reporters, reposters just blow this story out of proportions out of nothingness. If the director was really serious about the issues he was having with Kwan he should have enough sense and authority to tell her to do or act the way he want it. If he is the director and can’t tell her how to act or play in his movie/lakorn, then what does say about him or his authority as a director? Either he is a bad director that can’t tell his actress what to do, or he just not serious enough about the whole situation, but other peoples just taking things out of context. Isn’t he the same director that came out on the news awhile back that said Kwan was actually not as bad as other peoples are saying, and she committed to her work?
Anyway, as for Kwan replies in the news, she was probably didn’t see that it will be such a big deal so she reply like she doesn’t care what’s going on or how she act, hence, she mention that if the director wanted her to do it she can do it. Which can means he wasn’t serious with her. That’s why she doesn’t care.
At same time, Kwan should know that she was not well like by many peoples, reporters etc. so she should act properly and watch how she talk or reply to these reporters. She seems to bring lots of bad things upon herself.
So my takes is Kwan doesn’t know how to kiss asses well when it comes to society where is proper to kisses up once in awhile.
Over all, reporters just needs their asses to be kiss and Kwan need to soften up and don’t have “I don’t care attitude” for her own good and career. LOLz.
That’s all of my blah…blah… so hope all these other blah…blah… can stop being bias toward the stars that you like or dislike. AND can we all just get along and just watch the lakorn for what is worth and not for what these actors and actresses did outside of lakorn?

Kwan pretended that she’s sick and she couldn’t speak though she’s only got a cold.
Then, there’s a news saying that Golf Pitchaya (he was dating Kwan at that time) came to the lakorn team and threatenning Poo Praiya and Poo Mantana and he made Poo Praiya cried out in the middle of the lakorn team. Poo Praiya denied the rumour and hurried for her study in UK. But when asking Poo Mantana, she said it’s true. Poo Praiya refused it just because she doesn’t want to get in to anymore trouble. Netizens said that’s because Poo Praiya not as big as Poo Mantana, she then couldn’t say anything.
There’r more issues about Kwan like she slaped Golf’s new girlfriend,had an issue with Pancake, Chompoo Araya and Yardthip. She was warned once by Khun Daeng, the boss but haven’t punished on this. Netizens said that’s because she’s got tvpool as her supporter. Tvpool is the biggest entertainment media of Thailand. It has a good relationship with ch7 especially. But actually, ch3, ch5 crews also need to be respect to this media too because people would follow what tvpool set up or write in their magazine. Now there is another big entertainment media like 9 entertain. And I think 9 entertain is not bias.

But the feedback in here and in Thailand is totally different.
People in Thailand don’t believe her at all. Actually, it’s a very triffle issue but it becomes a big deal because it’s Kwan.
She hasn’t got any good news off screen at all so far. First, there’s a rumour that she was kicked out of ch3 because her mom & her were difficult. Arunothai the boss of broadcasttv did say that she was difficult but denied she was kicked out, she just moved to ch7.
Then a scandalous clip was leaked. She was smoking and kissing a girl. It seems it’s not a normal cigarette but a drug. And the way she spoke to her friends was so low. I don’t know about you guys but in Thailand if you behaved like this you shouldn’t be nang’ek anymore. The way she spoke in the clip too maybe only Thai & Lao people understand why because it’s on culture and language but it’s kind of low class language people would say.
It becomed worst as she came up to refuse the clip. Since it’s obviously her,she then said the cigarette was just powder not really a cigarette. The netizens in Pantip tried to find about powder and found that there’s none of it in Thailand. She just lied.
This issue disappear but afterthat about almost a year, she was in another scandal. She slaped Bee Mathika in front of ten reporters in an award ceremony. She said she slaped Bee because Bee talked down on her & her fam first. Bee Mathika shut her mouth up and refrained herself from lakorns afterthat. Pinky was the one who came up for Bee, saying that Bee wasn’t that type of girl.
After that around a year, there’s a rumour that Poo Praiya wasn’t satisfied for being a nangrai in a lakorn when Kwan was a nang’ek. There’s a talk in pantip that actually, the nang’ek of this lakorn was Poo but Kwan’s supporter ask Khun Daeng to get Kwan in the lakorn.
In the same lakorn team, Poo Mantana gave an interview to the medias that Kwan was so difficult and so spoiled. she always came late and talke on the phone all the time. She wasn’t respect to the elders in the team either.
Afterthat, Poo Mantana’s got threatening phone calls. She reported to the police and they inspected and found that the phone was from a staff in the lakorn team. When asking the staff, she said the nang’ek borrowed her mobile phone.
