Jao Pattana saw his son hanging out and called him over. Jao Noi was reluctant to come over. J

ao Pattana wants to build another structure, he wants Jao Noi’s opinion. Jao Noi tells his father, “why are you asking me, you should…” He struggles to address his stepmother. “You should ask Auntie, whatever your wife says, I will answer like she will.”–wow, he is giving Jitree respect.

Jao Pattana laughs and says, ‘just a second ago, she said whatever I wanted and when I ask you, you say to ask Jitree. I have to ask you because this is your house too.”

Jao Pattana excused himself to leave Jao Noi and Jitree alone.

Jitree:”Jao has many projects lined up, he wants to build a structure here, tomorrow, he wants a home theater, I don’t know where he comes up with it.”

Jao Noi thanked Jitree and she asked why he is thanking her. Jao Noi tells her, “for making my father have happiness. I have never seen my father this happy before. You, auntie, have changed my father.”

Jitree:”He has also changed me. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have known the value of family. I want to be a good mom because of him. If it wasn’t for him, I would have continued suffering at the gambling place and not have happiness like today.”

Jao Noi:”I give you my father to take care of.”

Jitree:”So you don’t hate me anymore?”–no lady.

Jao Noi:”How can I hate you when you’re one of the most important members of this family.”

Jitree tears up and thanked him. She asked if she can hug him.

He agrees.

Hug, oh yeah! Jao Pattana saw them hugging, he is delighted.

Jao Noi goes to sit in his room, his father follows him.

Jao Pattana:”I came to thank you for accepting Jitree. But one problem, you couldn’t call her mom. You only call her auntie. You should get use to it, because either way, she will be your mother. If not your stepmother, then your mother-in-law.”

Jao Noi:”I thought you said you were going to stop talking about it.”

Jao Pattana:”I just don’t want you to regret it. Are you going to let the woman you love the most slip away so easily?”

Jao Noi stands up.

“I told you already dad, it has already ended.”

Jao Pattana:’Jao Noi, if two you love each other, they must forgive each other, that’s true love. You should ask yourself if you can live your life without Taddao. If you can endure it, you should go back to raising your buffaloes and cows, I won’t involve myself with it.”

Jao Noi:’I have done a lot of terrible things to her, she probably wouldn’t forgive me.”

Jao Pattana advised his son to fight for Taddao, go apologize to her anyways. He told Jao Noi a little secret, the reason he won Jitree over is because he lowered his pride and pursued her. “It’s not hard at all, lowered your pride, you will gain more than what you lost. Trust me son.”—listen to him Jao Noi. He got himself a wife and you are just a lonely bachelor.

Surprise, surprise, Taddao came to visit her mother.

Jitree wants her to live with her here at Jao Pattana’s pad.

Taddao refuses, she wants to go back and live at their old house.

Then someone said her name from above. She looks up, it’s Jao Noi cheesing. Oh good lord! Can you be more of a dork.

She doesn’t look up, she runs away. Jitree is confuse, so is Jao Noi. His father encouraged him to follow her. “Hurry up and follow her. Go now!”

As he watches his son run after Taddao, he laughs.

What dorks, I swear. They are completely misunderstanding each other, one believes the other hates them. They need to have a little chat and square this whole matter out.

Nervously he approaches her. “How did my dad and aunt Jitree trick you to come see me.”

She is baffled. No one tricked her to come here. “No one trick me, I came here because I missed my mother. If I knew you were here, I wouldn’t have come to make you feel burden.”

She is about to walk away, he steps in front of her blocking her way. “Tad, how are you doing? Is your wound healed yet?”

Taddao:”it’s healed and thank you for saving my life.”

Thanking him cleared the air and Jao Noi became less nervous. He smiled a little. Yea, I’m a hero. Woot. Woot.

He takes her hand. “Can you forgive me regarding the negatives things I have said to you. The thing is…I want you to return to the farm with me again.”

She smiles and then frowns. She pulls her hand away. “I can’t. I had promised my mother I would stay with her and also I have to watch over my grandmother at the Bussaya house. Can you give me time?”

Heck no, he wants her now.

Jao Noi being a dumb-bum:’No, you have to come back with me today and right now too.”

He takes her hand. “Do you know how much I have missed you? I love you Taddao.”

She pulls her hand back. “So this is the love of Jao Yod Kwan, there are only orders, only selfishness. When you love, you want me near. When you hate, you push me away from your life. Have you ever thought about other people’s feelings. That’s enough. If you can’t change your personality, we can’t go together.”—she is right, he is selfish bastard, she has responsibility to take care of. Hello, she inherited new family members and big house. Give the girl time.

Adios and she runs off.

Yea dude, you screwed up, you should consider her feelings too.

Jitree goes to confront Taddao. Jitree wants Taddao to forgive Jao Noi, he has apologized but she has refused his apology. He is trying to connect with her and to reach an understanding but Taddao is the one causing problems now.

Taddao explains to her mother that Jao Noi is being unreasonable. “He refuses to listen to  me. I’m not saying I won’t go back with him. I can’t even ask for a little time.”

Jitree tells her daughter that Jao Noi probably doesn’t know how to make up with someone. Or maybe he is afraid that she might never come back to him. Jitree encouraged her daughter to talk nicer to Jao Noi.

“You should talk nicer to him, then will he not be reasonable.  Regarding just this, will it end your good feelings for each other. Just think about it, you and Jao have been through a lot. Does that not have meaning to you?”–yea Tad, you should listen to your mother. This fight is so stupid.

Taddao runs to find Jao Noi. He finds Jao Pattana, he tells her Jao Noi left. He went back to his farm.

“That child is really stupid. Happiness is right in front of him but he can’t pull it in.”

Jao Pattana stands up. “If it was me and I have found the person who is willing to die for me. I will never let her go. Just remember Taddao, true love only happens once.”

Bang and Tiang are disappointed that Jao Noi came home empty-handed, where is Taddao? Come on man.

Tiang:”So Khun Taddao didn’t come back with you?”

Bang:”I heard that Nang Bua saw you with Taddao at the big house.(something-something I don’t understand because it is in northern dialect that I can’t make out) I suspect you lost your mojo.”

Bang laughs. I can’t believe he said that.

He knew he was gonna get, so just accepted it and went into the position for Jao Noi to kick him. Jao Noi was not in the mood and just left. Bang was stunned, so was Tiang.

Later that night, Jao Noi walked around in his jammies and thought about Taddao and their time together. He remembered the drunk kiss. He remembered when she told him she loved him in the jungle. Then he remembered their fight from earlier that day. “When you love, you want me near. When you hate, you push me away from your life.”

“Have I failed again, Taddao,” he asked himself in the dark.

He apologizes to her. “I’m sorry, please forgive me.”

Wow, they are making a big deal out of nothing. I don’t even understand why they are fighting.

Saengkham and Witoon came to tell Jao Noi that they are getting married by the end of the year.

Jao Noi notices their matching bracelet, he looks at his matching bracelet he has with Taddao. He says nothing. He congratulates them, but wonders why are they telling him now. They are getting married by the end of the year.

Saengkham and Witoon want to do an engagement ceremony for the end of this month. They want to use Jao Noi’s farm. He agrees.

Jao Noi:”That’s not a problem. If you need help, just tell me.”

Witoon:”You don’t need to help with anything, just provide us with a reception area is enough. It won’t be big, just the people closest to us. Just 10 people.”

Now Jao Noi is curious, who are Witoon’s closest friends.

Witoon:’Your dad, your stepmother, Saengkham’s parents, and everyone from the Bussaya household.”

Oh look, someone is happy.

“Everyone from the Bussaya household, so who are those people.”—Oh Jao Noi, you know you want him to say Taddao will come also.

Witoon smiles and Saengkham asked Jao Noi, ‘are you asking for someone specifically?”

Jao Noi denies it, so Witoon changes the subject back to the engagement ceremony. It’s time to check out the area.

On the day of the engagement ceremony, Jao Noi waits for Taddao.  She never shows up.

What? Tad is not coming? Aw. Look at him, so sad.

He smiles when he sees his father’s car driving in, Taddao might be with them

Nope, sorry buddy, she didn’t. It’s just your dad and stepmother. Look at how pathetic he looks when he realizes that.

Everyone knows Jao Noi is depressed because Taddao hasn’t showed up yet. His father jokingly asked him, ‘what’s the matter with you, you looked like you have swallowed poison.”

Hearing that, his wife Jitree points out it is bad luck to mention negative things during an engagement event. He apologizes and tells Saengkham and Witoon to marry quickly and to give him a grandchild quickly because he can’t wait on Jao Noi.

Finally, Jao Noi asked about Taddao. “Won’t Taddao be coming?”

Jitree answered that she refused to come and Jao Pattana changed the subject to the engagement ceremony. It should be starting soon. Everyone ditch Jao Noi for the ceremony.

Witoon to Saengkham during their engagement ceremony, personally it looks like a wedding to me:

“Jao krap, the most important thing that has happened in my life is to have met you, to have loved you. I promise to protect our love forever.”

Saengkham:”You have made me realized true love, my feelings for you will never change.”

Hug because in lakorns there is no kissing, except on the cheeks. Oy!

Everyone leaves to go eat. Jao Noi stayed behind at the altar looking all depressed. Shakes head,  I don’t  think he even combed his hair that morning. Come on now buddy, step it up. It’s your best friend’s engagement ceremony, as least pretend to be happy.

Nope, he is gonna mope.

So he decides to go on a stroll by himself. Nice khakis, thank goodness, I just wanted to let you know, I hated those white pants you wore earlier. I hate white pants on men.

Okay back to the scene, Jao Noi is still deeply depressed that Taddao never showed up. “So you will never forgive me, Taddao.” He says to himself.

Then Sutad, the Leprecon appeared. Seriously, that is just wrong, they got her dressing like a Leprecon. Hey Tad, where’s your pot of gold?

Taddao dressed like Sutad asked him from behind, “can I applied to be one of your workers here?”

He turns around, hey, it’s Taddao. What’s up?

Taddao:”Can I work here again, Jao Noi?”

Jao Noi was stunned and uttered Taddao’s name. She corrected him, “my name is Sutad ha, Tiang’s nephew.”

He repeats her name and runs to her for a hug. DORK. And what is up with the background music, I heard snare drums kinda imitating troops marching to war. Did they forget, this is a light romantic comedy, not some patriotic war movie.

He hugs her tight, she pushed him away. “I’m Sutad, don’t you hate a woman named Taddao.”

Jao Noi, acting nervous like a crack addict, took her hand and asked, “have you forgiven me, Taddao. I’m sorry. I really wanted to kick myself for what I said to you in Chiangmai.” —yea, you should kick yourself, I want to see it, it does sound entertaining. This moment was so awkward.

“The truth is that I wanted to tell you I loved you and that I wanted you to come back to live here with me.”

She listens to him with a mischievous smile. Dude, she has already forgiven you.

“I can’t live without you.”

Taddao:”If you can’t live without me, then why did you leave first?”

Yea Jao Noi. Why? You got some explaining to do.

She pouts, “you had me take a tour bus to come here, it was very tiring.”

Jao Noi being dumb, “you rode a tour here.” —no, she is just playing with you. He is too love drunked to even think rationally. This guy. It’s amusing to watch.

Jao Noi:”When? Today?”

Taddao smiles. “Who said. That day, I followed you here, there was only a difference of a few hours.”

Say what?

Taddao laughs. “The engagement ceremony for today, I arranged it, there was no organizer.”

Say what again?!

Taddao:”To think about it, it was very funny. I watched the farm manager looked very depressed for several weeks.”—yea Jao Noi, she is making fun of you.

Jao Noi used his stern voice and said, “Ai Tad”.

Taddao knows that tone, she is in trouble. “What you planning to do with me?”

Jao Noi:”I’m gonna kick you that’s what.”–he’s joking people. Don’t call the cops on him.

Taddao:”What did I do wrong?”

Jao Noi:”You did something wrong and you dare ask me. You made me unable to eat and sleep for over a month. Wherever I looked, I only saw your face.”

He points at her and says, “You have to take responsibility for it, Tad.”

She moves back and jokes with him. ‘Do you honestly think I would let you kick me so easily.”

She makes a dash for it. Adios. He laughs and follows her.

Jao Noi is too drunk happy in love, kisses all around.

Witoon teases Jao Noi for not knowing Taddao was at the farm this whole time. “What kind of boyfriend are you, you didn’t even know your girlfriend was here. She almost bumped into you several times now.”

Everyone laughed.

Saengkham tells her fiance Witoon, “That is why they say love makes you blind.”

Then Jao Noi realizes that everyone knew except him. ‘So everyone deceive me?”

Jitree answered the question for him. “No, we didn’t deceive you, we only played a joke on you.”

Since Witoon is marrying Saengkham by the end of the year, Jao Noi plans to marry Taddao by the end of this month. Ha. So competitive. He begs Jitree for Taddao’s hand in marriage and even called her mother.

Witoon wasn’t having it. “Saengkham, we got engaged first, we have to get marry first.”

Jao Noi wrapped his arms around Taddao and looked at Witoon and said, “I’m getting married first, what of it?”

Taddao pushed him off, “Who said I would marry you?”

Jao Noi was like ‘ow’.

Taddao:”Don’t you remember, you said I should go study first. Whenever I finish my master degrees, then we can marry.”

Jao Noi can’t believe. How many years is that? Witoon tells him 5-6 years. He refuses. He wants to marry now. He whines like two year old kid who wants a cookie and she agrees. More kisses on the cheek because this is a lakorn.

They are married now. They take a stroll together to look at their farm. They look out and he says to her, “now this land is yours too.”

She gives him a tender look and says, “you can still call me ‘ai tad’ like before.”
He turns to look at her. “Whether you be ‘e-tad’ or Taddao, you are the person….”

“Who is..what?” She interrupts him.

He takes her hand. “You are the person who has made me suffered the most and the person who has made me the happiest. You are the only person who was able to change my life. Just you. I love you VERY MUCH, Taddao.”

He hugs her.

Taddao:”Jao, do you know, how I was able to make good coffee?”

He nods no.

Taddao:”Because every time I made coffee for you, I put my heart into it. My feelings for you is more than love.” — I think that is what she said, the birds were chirping so loudly in the background, I couldn’t hear well enough.

He gives her a forehead kiss. Can we all say, aw!

Now, the hug. Conclusion, conclusion. Weep. It’s over. I will miss Taddao Bussaya.
