Thai netizens want to know who is the better actor Ken and Tik, so they posted up a poll with 4 choices. Obviously the first two choices were for either Ken or Tik. The third choice got me laughing: I don’t know, the only think I know is, ‘though they have wives, I still want them. To be their (mia noi) mistress, I can accept that.’–wow, these women are freaking crazy. The last choice, I think it a good idea, “they should act together in just one series for us to find out.” They should, I would want to see Ken and Tik in a lakorn together. Double pra’ek, they can play brothers, though they look nothing alike. Foster brothers, half brothers, sworn enemies turn best buds, those are some possible roles for them, if they were to be in a lakorn together. Just a thought.
At the moment, Tik is leading in the poll, but not by much the last time I checked. Fans are conflicted, both have their good points. Ken is handsome, one person wrote, but she can’t get over Tik’s soothing voice. In the end, she chose Tik.
From another Thai netizen: appearance wise, Ken can’t compare to Tik. But Ken’s personality, his acting is superior. Ken has a level of charm that is more likable than Tik. Also, Ken is cautious about his image, he doesn’t have a lot of scandals.
There were many comments, the one that got my attention minus the last pervert two (comment 35 and 36) was the comment about Ken being more natural then Tik. It was comment 4, I believe. Tik has the pra’ek look, he is the embodiment of what a Thai pra’ek should look like. According to the person who wrote this, it’s not natural. Tik appears pretentious. He is a form. Ken, other the hand, is more natural. He acts well, he is able to embody the mood of his characters, he plays his roles with calm, it’s profound. He doesn’t over-act. But one problem, Tik is just better looking than Ken. Burn! Wow.
Personally, I like them both, they have their own style. You can’t compare the two.
By a small margin I pick Tik. His acting is slightly better to me. Ken exaggerates his emotions too much which can be a little turn of for me in the characters. But then I think of Jai Rao and He really did an EXCELLENT JOb. so 51 to 49 to me. Really close. So I am not surprise this is a close match. Acting wise I still feel both of them can grow. And grow. NOW who I think should be on this list and by my understanding is under-rated is freakin AUM Atichart!! His acting gives me shivers. I freakin HATED him in Jum Leuy Ruk. To the point where I could even look at his face in any other lakorn. Now that is acting. Ken played a similar character in Sawan Bieng but the character came of childish and unnatural. I think it was the acting. If Ken played Harit I probably would have finished that Lakorn but at last Aum made me not stomache that character. He really emboded him. And then on the other hand Aum made me LOVE him in Piang Jai Thee Pookpan. The Father/Son scene had me bawling. TO think he played a character 10-15 years younger than his actual self and it didn’t feel unnatural at all. Tik played a similar character in Wanida, but once again some of the emotions did not come out as well. In Bardarn Jai.

Yes Aum is goodlooking but so is Tik And Ken. They are all equal in looks to me. But Acting wise I think you guys can figure who I really enjoy. I love TIK and KEn too and watch most of their Lakorns but yeah Aum would make me watch even if the main actress is a terrible actress coughmargiecoughbardarnjaicough. TIk and Ken would be able to make me do it. And luckily they are usually bless with pretty good actresses if not great ones as co-stars. Shoot KEn gots Ann for goodness sakes. LOVE HER! Well I think I’ve ranted enough.
I think Aum is alright. He tries too hard to look sexy, you know what I mean? I don’t know if that’s just his normal facial expression, but to me it seems like he tries really hard to have that intense stare. That’s not really attractive…

its fun that somone brought this thread back up. Ken still has my vote. If we are comparing acting abilities. Maybe Tik just hasn’t taken on a role that is really emotional.
I find it funny that Lyn, you said BURN becuz they said Ken is JUST not as handsome as Tik, but I think that’s a BURN to Tik, you’re an ok actor, but your face pulls you to the top

I personally don’t think either of them look that handsome, rather it’s the character(s) they play that make them appealing. The first time I ever saw a Tik and Ken lakorn I thought they both looked ugly (sorry, that’s just my taste), BUT after watching their other lakorns I started to like them both regardless of how they looked. Tik and Ken started to become better looking to me through their characters, and that I think is the power of acting. Their actions were very convincing, and so both are great actors in that aspect. However quality-wise, in my opinion, Tik is slightly better. His emotions and facial expressions are more, let’s see, natural. Ken tries a bit hard to convey his emotions and expressions. My vote: Tik Jesadaporn Pholdee; if ya’ll don’t know who he is, look him up. My Tik-lakorn recommendation: Leurd Kattiya. Ken is still a great actor, just not my choice.
I would say Ken, is the better actor. Don’t get me wrong I love Tik too, but overall Ken can play it all. And what girl wouldn’t want Ken as a husband, plus his lakorns are better. I can’t wait to see Anne and Tik pair up.
