Ploy Chidjan introduces her husband

And her very pregnant belly. She’s 7 months pregnant and has been married since June 28, 2009. Holy Crap!

Twenty-two year old “Ploy” Chidjan Rujipan from Ch3 held a press conference today at the Meridien hotel in Chiangmai to introduce her husband, twenty-nine year old Ken Hong, a businessman from Hong Kong, and to confirm that she is indeed pregnant and the rumors were true.

Ploy met her future husband Ken, 4 years ago. He runs an longan (it’s a fruit) exporting business with his father based in Chiangmai, Thailand and Hong Kong (?). For business reasons, he would come to Chiangmai often, there, they met. Ploy told reporters their elders knew of their relationship and it was never kept a secret. After two years of dating, her then boyfriend, proposed. She rejected him, because she wanted to finish school first. Not until last year, when his paternal grandmother feel ill, he came to propose again, saying that his paternal grandmother wanted a grandchild because she is getting older, he wanted to give her one. They wanted to have the ceremony immediately, just in case something happened to his grandmother.

They quietly married in Hong Kong on June 28, 2009. They decided to keep it a secret because she was still working as an actress.

Ploy is 7 months pregnant now, her due date is in June. They are having a boy, they plan to name him Thasino. Sounds like ‘casino’. Oh my gosh.

Ploy:”Right now, I’m 7+ months pregnant. I’m being treated at the Chiang Mai Raam hospital, my due date is around June. We have already gotten our ultrasound done, I’m having a boy. My husband’s father is very happy because it is a boy and he is going to be born in the year of the tiger. We have decided on a name for him already, we are naming him “Thasino”, a combination of the word “Thai and China”. We are still consulting with the doctors whether I should have a c-section or give birth naturally. I would like to give birth naturally.”

–don’t worry folks, ‘Thasino’ will be his nickname.

Ploy’s husband Ken wants a lot of kids, 8 in total. Damn that’s a lot.

Ploy:”My husband wants 8 kids, I don’t think I can handle it. At the beginning, I was going to give birth in China, but my husband wanted our child to have a Thai citizenship. I will give birth to him here and raise him here, teach him the Thai language first. After that, he will study in China, so that he will know several languages.”

In the future, Ploy would like to act again. For now, she is working with her husband at his longan exporting business.
