And I’m like ‘oh’–a real onscreen kiss. Not a big deal. But this is Thailand, so it is. This coming Thursday, Rita Jensen will kiss her co-star Aun Witthaya on the mouth (Oh no, scandalous!) in their lakorn “Lueam Prai Lai Rak (Lustrous Design of Love)” on Ch3. Rita said she felt burden and worried about her first real kiss because this is NOT a normal thing for her. Because her character grew up aboard and kissing is a normal/ acceptable thing there, the director Term Chaninathorn encouraged Rita to do a real kiss.
“At first, I adamantly refuse to do it because camera angles have always been used to help me. So I have never done it realistically. The director had to come to explain to me why it was necessary. We talked for a long time and he asked for one take. In the end, I agreed to do it, because I wanted this project to turn out great and it will be like another development in my acting. So I agreed to do it. And it did take only ‘one take’, ” said Rita
She added that Aun was very much of a gentleman throughout this ordeal.
another thought..these actress strip down to their bras and undies for the whole world to see but they won’t do a kissing scene?? That’s stupid. Shouldn’t you worry more about people seeing your goodies?!?!? weird.
why do they make kissing such a big deal in thai lakorns? I mean, isn’t prostitution like one of thailand’s biggest thing! People need to get real! When you’re an actor/cess you have to do whatever it takes to make the movie work and the director happy. If you don’t want to do something, like kissing, DON’T ACT!
Sririta looks really uncomfortable in this scene though, making the kiss look awkward.
This isn’t her 1st actual on-screen kiss though. What about the one with Mart, and how about her kiss with Hugo in the movie 999-9999?
this is her real onscreen kiss? so the kiss that she did with smart krissada in that one lakorn with noon siripan and rome wasn’t real?

i get it.. but it still just doesn’t make much sense to me. the human contact lasts like 5 seconds so they can zoom in. staying in that unnatural (and quite frankly for me, disgusting) pose would have taken longer. and i agree, she looked uncomfortable–which was captured thru the photos, like you said. it makes me think.. “do whatever for a paycheck” which is kinda sad in it of itself. i guess, i just don’t want to see her go downhill after that photo shoot, and the kiss isn’t really as big a deal in my opinion.
