For the love of cheese, both these boys need to lay off the make-up.

Wiwa Wa Woon pays homage to “Notting Hill”

I have not paid much attention to Ken and Chompoo’s lakorn “Wiwa Wa Woon (Chaotic Wedding)”, the ending did catch my eye. In case you didn’t know, it ended today with a proposal and someone getting shot and the villain going to jail. It’s a lakorn someone is bound to get shot by the end. It’s how it done. Don’t mess with the formula. Obviously in this case, they didn’t.

For the ending of “Wiwa Wa Woon (Chaotic Wedding)”, they did an homage to Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts’ romantic comedy “Notting Hill” from 1999.

The ending to “Notting Hill” the movie–he is reading a book, she has her head resting on his lap, they are holding hands blissfully on the bench in the park. Kids are running around, other people are enjoying the park as well. Most importantly, she is very pregnant.

Thank speaks, “I’m not on drugs”

Oh, so that was the reason. That was the ‘condition’,  some are suspecting. If she is okay with his infidelity, what else can it be? Taking drugs is pretty bad, lets goes with that. YEA!

“Thank” Ponsakorn Mahapaoraya, Tangmoe’s now estranged boyfriend denies he was on drugs as the reason for their break up.

“I don’t know what people who are following up on this news are thinking. There are several feedbacks, several rumors relating to drugs, which is a touchy subject in Thai society. I feel considerate towards my mother, I don’t want to disturb our household. I can assure this matter has nothing to do with drugs. I’m innocent and I want to clear that. I even have proof from a doctor that I’m drug-free. I can assure you, I’m not on drugs.” WTF. Yep, she screwed him over. We will always be curious about what the ‘condition’ is, it’s part of human nature to be nosy. I’m nosy and I’m damn proud to be nosy.

Thank’s mother is stressed about the whole situation, Thank tells the media.

“About the news, my mother is very worried. I got tested [for drugs] to make her feel better.”

Thank does hint it does have something to do with drugs, but he is not on drugs.

“We both knew, Tangmoe has been in the entertainment industry for a long time. If a certain individual involves themselves with drugs, people knew of it. I got myself involve with shady people. Tangmoe begged me because she felt uneasy. It was my fault. I will be more cautious in the future. I won’t get myself involve. “—-he’s contradicting himself. So it was about drugs.

If it’s not drugs, lets go back to the infidelity issue. Did Thank cheat on Moe with a young college student? Heck no, said Thank. Come on Thank, tell the truth. There were leaked photos. I saw them, you saw them, all of Thailand saw them. She’s only a friend, really?

“It’s not the truth at all. She’s a friend, nothing more than a younger sibling.”

His behavior and his neglect of her might be another factor in their break up, but he says he is trying. He wants her back.

“I have a weakness, but I’m trying. I want us to get back together to work together again. I want to apologize to Tangmoe and her father who is disappointed in me.”

Thank still loves Moe, it’s her decision to decide if they should get back together or not. To him, they have not broken up, they are on a break. She is mad, he is trying to improve himself.

I hope it airs soon and it not a disappointment. Here are some behind the scene pictures of “Sao Chai Hi-Tech ( Hi-tech Maidservant)”, a romantic comedy starring Om Akapan and Jui Warattaya. She plays a meddling matchmaker, he is a man who has a chip on love. And we have a lakorn.

Young Thai Stars as ANIME characters

At the annual Oishi Cosplay Dance Mania Dance competition today, several young Thai stars dressed up as anime characters for the event’s fashion show. I recognize 8 people: Yuk Songpaisan, Gun “Fluke” Kantathaworn, Taew Natapohn, ‘Ploy’ Patsorn Kongmeesuk, Chat Priayachat, Nadech “Barry” Kugimiya, “Vill” Wannaros Sonthichai, and Guy Ratchanon. Don’t ask me what characters they are cause I don’t know. To me, they  all look like Sailor Moon characters.

Chat, Vill, and Taew in pink and blonde wigs.

Mos’s new lakorn

It’s another romantic comedy for Ch5 after Bie and Vill’s successful lakorn “Dok Ruk Rim Tang (Roadside Crown Flower or Crown Flower on the edge of the road)”.

“Hua Jai Ploy John (Jumping Gem Heart)” starring “Pim” Pimmada Borriruksooppakorn and ‘Mos’ Patiparn Pataweekarn will premier tomorrow, June 29th. It’s a semi-musical/ mistaken identity lakorn set in  rural Thailand about a man who owes money and is on the run.

Mos is Vorapat, a guy with the most unfortunate fate. His occupation is a salesman at a company and he has the worst best friend ever. Udom (“Louis” Pongphun Phetchbantoon), Vorapat’s best friend screws him over by making him owe 10 million baht to a company. Vorapat doesn’t have the money, so he goes on the run to save his life. I guess it’s a shady company run by the mob or some underbelly organization.

By chance he runs into Boonkerd ( played by Thai country singer Tai Tanawut), a fortunate taxi driver, who is heading back to his hometown to accept an inheritance. On the way, Boonkerd gets into a car accident, the car capsized. He is badly injured and suffered a coma. As Boonkerd is in a comatose state at the hospital, Vorapat is mistakenly identified as Boonkerd and is taken to Boonkerd’s hometown in a parade.

As Boonkerd, Vorapat inherits a brass band once headed by Boonkerd’s grandfather and a large sugar palm plantation, several hundreds of acres large. Vorapat also falls in love with Saenwan (“Pim” Pimmada Borriruksooppakorn), a spunky gal whose father is aiming to have her married off to Boonkerd.  As such, Vorapat enjoys his life as Boonkerd. He begins to believe he can pass as Boonkerd.

As time goes by, Vorapat faces a dilemma–sell the sugar palm plantation to pay off his debt or keep the plantation and make everyone happy. Eventually reality catches up with Vorapat, he’s not the real Boonkerd. The real Boonkerd wakes from his coma and is coming back to claim his inheritance.
