Mario Maurer’s first project with Ch3 is described as the guy version of “Baan Saithong (The Golden Thread House)”, is that good? I have never seen “Baan Saithong”, any version–whether is be Saranyu and Monruedee’s version or the 2000 Num Sornram and “Joy” Rinlanee Sripen’s remake. It’s not a full remake, the story is sampled from the popular series and given the title: “Plerng Toranong (Proud Flame)”. Miss Aff-lookalike Taew Natapohn is in this as Mario Maurer’s leading lady. Thai pop-star slash crooner Aof Pongsak is the guy villain. Aof described his character as a total douche–from drinking, gambling, the full works, his character is involve in everything society would deem ‘unacceptable’. I get the feeling Aof will outshine Mr. Teen Idol Mario over there.
