Chompoo’s family which includes herself and her parents–her father is British (72 years old) and her mother is full-Thai (55 years old). According to one source, her mother is Lao. Most likely she is Thai Isan. She looks nothing like her mother.
Since her father’s heart-attack, Chompoo has become the head of her household. She makes all the decisions and is the person to go to when it comes to family matters in the Haget household. Because her father is getting better, Chompoo will take her parents to vacation in England by the end of this month.
“I didn’t plan to take my father there. My father is very old and his health is not great. However, he is getting better. I think he can handle another visit. We have talked about it since last year that we would go this year. My father has been taking good care of himself. Over there, we don’t need to worry, he has family there. England is his birth country. He wants to visit his family, his old friends, so I’m giving him what he wants. I’m letting him go only for 2 weeks because he can’t be far from my mother for too long.”
Her greatest concern about her father right now is his health. When it comes to her mother, she is concern about her morale. Her mother has been caring for her ailing father for some time now. It can be straining.
“My mother is 55 years old now. At her age, she should be seeing the world. She can’t because she is concern about my father. They have to take care of each other. When someone is around a sick person all the time, they might loss their morale.”
In the past, her father was an ill-tempered man and Chompoo couldn’t deal with it. Since he became ill, she came realized her father won’t be with her forever. She is lucky he is still alive.
“On occasions, I have to work with terrible people yet I can tolerate them. When it comes to my father, I don’t know why I tolerate him (laughs). We don’t have a lot of time together left. I feel lucky that we have been able to pass this crisis (her father’s heart attack). The crisis taught me that life is short. What we don’t think will happen, can happen. So I try to make the best of it. Right now I’m taking care of my responsibilities, I realized that he won’t be here with me for the rest of my life. I try to do my best. I try to search for the best thing for him.”

My ( and Chompoo’s ) surname is HARGATE-not Haget—as spelled in the blog. Her mother (my wife) is NOT Laotian—she is Thai and was born in Thailand. For the record….I have resided in Thailand for nearly 45 years.TO “FUN” No.5—Thank you. TO “Julieissocooly” No.7…..you dont know what you are talking about !
Jim Hargate ( Chompoo’s father )
Her parents have a 17 yrs age difference. Ewwwwwww
Her smile looks like her mom! But she looks more like her dad!
Actually her mom is Laos. Her mom is actually my friends aunt and everytime they go visit Thaand they always go hang out with their aunt and sometime p’chompoo when she’s not filming. I saw the pics. Many pics throught the years.
I believe it was when she was on “Woody Kerd Ma Kui” where she said that her mother is Issan. She was talking ab out her cheekbones being a Lao trait or something…
i like how she’s so realistic. wish the father the best.
I think she looks like both her mother and father. Glad she’s spending time with her family.
Well said, Chompoo. I have a friend that has a hard time forgiving people, and this is causing her to lose her relationship w/her family and friends, one-by-one.
i think she look more like her dad lol… she definitely has her moms beautifulness and the jawline. some goodass genes thats passed down to her too lol. Finally one who actually understands how short life is and is spending time with family.
I think, in the first pic, she does look like her mother, especially the nose because she’s got the nose done now she looks different that’s why.
