This couple has been through a lot lately, there has been rumors of infidelity, Pancake is cheating on Weir, Weir is a drunk who smokes too much, break up rumors. It’s the norm for this couple. They are loved and then they are hated. It’s part of this industry–you rise and then you fall and then you rise again.
This is so stupid, now the issue is this, there is a picture of Pancake sitting on Weir’s lap while she is playing cards and he is reading a religious book. There is money on the table, so the assumption is that Pancake is gambling while Weir watches on, reading a religious book. That is a big no-no. Gambling is illegal and religion is an important element in Thai culture, so we get ‘Mai Mor Som (Very inappropriate, unfit)’. Apparently, according to Manager news website, Thai netizens are complaining, it’s ‘mai mor som’. Others who saw the picture find nothing wrong with it. “What is strange about this picture, I’m confuse,” said one Thai netizen. I’m confuse too, I see nothing wrong with it either.
Pancake said they were just playing around on set. The picture was intentional. Most importantly, she did not sit on his lap.
“I did not sit on his lap, that day a reporter came to ask; however, I don’t remember sitting on his lap. I asked P’Weir if I did. I was bewildered. I don’t think it’s anything. I think it’s comical like what am I reading here,” explained Pancake.
Weir said the same thing, she wasn’t playing cards.
“There was nothing. She was not playing cards. I was sitting on the bench of the table, she was sitting on a chair. It was a picture we had intended to take for fun while we had free time on set. It something fun to do on set.”
Pancake will remember this incident as a lesson. “I will consider the leaked picture as a lesson. At the beginning when this became news, I was confuse. How was it leaked? But it was nothing. It was okay. It is better than the other news. It’s funny. The elders have not asked for us.” –meaning the elders have not called them into their office for a scolding.
Contrary to the news about break ups and fighting, Weir and Pancake said they are doing fine.
“Like I said, since the beginning, we never had any problems. Since we are filming a lakorn (Duay Raeng Atitarn) together, it has helped our relationship be better. We get to talk more. It’s better than before actually,” said Pancake.
Readers at Manager where this article was published are complaining, who gives a fudge. It’s their personal business, why should we care? Pancake and Weir are not doing anything wrong. Hey, Thai netizens can be reasonable too.

OMG! What’s so bothering with the photo?! And what’s so intriguing with playing cards for fun? And what’s wrong if Pan did really sit on Weir’s lap? Come on netizens… give them a break. Maybe everyone should look at themselves before they point a finger… Haven’t you told a lie once too often, haven’t you had some fantasies that are forbidden? Haven’t you been tempted to flirt with someone else’s love altho you know you shouldn’t? haven’t you had a simple game of cards during new year/ party? Of course I know Pan/Weir are in the limelight so people tend to criticize them… but B4 U do, try to see if you are innocent, not sinful, and believed fully in Buddhist teachings and don’t even kill a mosquito!!!
So what? Just by looking at the picture one could tell that it was taken, posed as it was, on purpose.
I see nothing wrong with gambling because she’s an adult. I mean it might not be a perfect good example for younger kids but again she’s using her own money. She’s not in debt because of it nor is she addicted to it. She’s doing it for pleasure. There’s so many types of gambling. A bet is gambling. You gamble everyday with your own life. What I do find wrong is that, he’s reading the teaching of Buddhism and she’s gambling right next to him. Even though the picture was taken as an ironic joke but it’s not appropriate. Those who criticize should be criticizing that, not criticize that she’s gambling cus everyone in this world does it, without or without money betting is gambling.

What if she just playing a game of gold fish? People need to remember that there are some card games that don’t involve gambling. However it’s hard to make an arguement that she’s not gambling with the money on the table. Anyway I agree that Weir smokes to much along with a lot of Thai youth but he doesn’t seem like the drinking type. I’m not a fan of Pancake or her acting or lack their of but come on leave the two along. There has to be better news than this crap.
