Hi-Tech Maidservant: Spoilers for the island scene

I’m starting from when they fell asleep on the island:

Time pass to late at night, Nol woke up to find Rin asleep beside him, so he moves her closer to him.  Nol looked at her face and saw a few strand of hair covering it, he cleared it for her.  Rin is still asleep with a smile on her face, she moved and hugged Nol.

In the morning, Rin woke up first to find herself wrapped around Nol. She was startled. Little by little, she quietly got up.

“How could I have done that…I thought so, why did I have a dream about hugging a soft pillow,” she mumbled to herself.

Rin looked over to the bottle of water, it’s nearly emptied, last night she used it to clean Nol’s punctured wound. Rin decides to go look for water and food. She walked to a particular area on the island and heard music from a distance. She followed the sound and saw two or three foreign tourist lying on the beach.

A few minutes later, Rin went back to Nol carrying water and fish. When she arrived at their spot and did not find him, she was worried, she called for him.  Nol emerged behind the shed and yelled at her: ‘what are you shouting for, I’m right here.’

Rin asked Nol what he was doing behind there, Nol answered he was peeing.  She did her usual uncomfortable laugh and prepared their meal. Nol walked over and saw the fish, he surprised and asked Rin how she was able to catch such a big fish. Rin bragged that  had harpooned it with a spear from the boat.

Before he could ask any more questions, she pushed cooked fish up his mouth.

“Right now, we are not at the Ratsameeman house anymore and we are both stuck on this island together.”

Nol:”What of it, what are you trying to say?”

Rin:”I”m not your servant anymore.”

Nol:”What of it?”

Rin:”It means you have to call me Khun Rin and add ‘krap’ at the end of each sentence.”– “Krap” is a particle used by male speakers at the end of sentences to make them more polite.

Nol:”Have you gone crazy? Why should I have to do that?”

Rin:”Because it is just the two of us. You are injured and I’m able to find you food. It’s up to you if you want to talk to me nicely.”

Rin stopped feeding Nol the fish. Nol looked at her and stubbornly protested: “Dream on, Rin.”

Rin sat by herself and continued eating her fish. Nol watched on woefully, yearning to eat some fish too. Rin tempted Nol with the fish, if he thanked her just once, she would let him eat too.  Though he thanked her thoughtlessly, it still made Rin happy. She clapped her hands to celebrate.

Time goes by, Nol is staring out into the ocean. Rin walked over to talk to him. “You were just sitting here, I thought you swam away already.”

Nol did not like her comment and said her thoughts are strange. Rin ignored the rude remake and sat down next to Nol. She complimented the ocean, saying how beautiful it was. Nol tells Rin that has never been to a place where there is no people before. It’s different in a good way, he tells her. Rin looked at Nol and asked if she was not a person here too. Nol laughed and asked:”if in the end we can’t leave this island, you have to stay with me until we are old and gray and we die side by side, what will you say to that?”

“It would be good. You being old would be very funny,” Rin laughed.

Nol:”Do you think we will….?”

Rin’s cheeks turned red and asked him to clarified what he meant:”will what? Will do what? You better phrase that well.”‘—-someone has a dirty mind.

Nol: “Will we argue–that’s what I mean. What are you thinking about, why is your face all red?”

“Nothing na ka. I wasn’t thinking about anything,” Rin said shyly and stood up to run off to hide her embarrassment. Nol grabbed her hand to hold her back and asked:”Who are you? It’s just you and me here. Just tell me who you are.”

The question and Nol’s serious face scared Rin. She was speechless. Nol pulled her closer to him for an embrace. Unexpectedly  he kissed her silently and long. Rin stood there dumbfounded and motionless without resistance.

He released her and said:”I don’t care who you are now.”
