A comment from a Manager Thai netizen about “Tono” Pakin Kumvilaisak (a.k.a Tono: The Star 6): “Tono can be anything in the entertainment industry even a famous superstar pra’ek, but don’t be a singer. Please, I beg of you.”
I actually agree with this person. Tono can sing, just not well–not good enough to be a singer. He might have not the voice, he does have the charisma and personality to be a star. He has this appeal that compels you to pay attention to him–to watch him. I think he’s pretty gosh darn funny too.
In the latest bit about Tono, Khun Boy Takolkait Weerawan (the big boss of Exact) is eying him as the next big thing for the “The Star” franchise, alongside Bie Sukrit.
His relationship with “Vill” Wannaros Sonthichai is also getting the attention of his fans and now the media. Vill taught Tono how to use Twitter and they have been communicating via Twitter. Their online and offline relationship has made his fanclub members jealous and upset. As of late, Vill has had to shut down her twitter account because of his fans. Tono has said he is NOT the reason why Vill has had to shut down her twitter account. Vill and him are just friends. Nothing more. So crazy obsessed fans should just chill out. He didn’t say that last part, I did. You know how some fans can get.
“I don’t think it is true na because I have talked to her, she has said it is not because of me. My fanclub is not attacking me. A lot of things have been said about me. It’s normal, people can print whatever they want to print. I have to tell you, it was just her feelings. She (Vill) is just a friend of mine in the ET industry and she is a good person. I don’t care about the people who are saying things or the things that have been said about me. If I cared about those things, I can just exist. I intend to work and provide happiness to the people who want it.”
Vill and Tono are talking but just as friends.
“We are talk. I have read her interview about me, I have to thank her. She has given me a lot of respect. It is normal that I have to give her respect to. Most importantly, if we are to see each other or be boyfriend and girlfriend, I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. Right now, it’s not true. She has stated the truth. There is no chance that we can develop our relationship further. There is nothing now.”
Tono finds Vill very pretty. “She is very narak (lovable, cute) krap. Pretty. I’m not closing myself regarding this matter. I’m very open to it.”
Tono doesn’t want to be compared to Bie, he wants to be at his own level. He does not believe Khun Boy will raise him up to Bie’s level. “it’s not true. P’Boy would never do that. The truth is P’Boy supports everyone, whether it be a person working in music or lakorns. As for the matter of me being compared to Bie, I will tell you frankly I don’t want to be compare to anyone. P’Bie is himself. I’m happy where I’m at. Whether I go far or not that has to do with the future. I am committed in my work and I will try my best.”
Khun Boy has said that Tono has the ability to be a superstar, Tono looks at it differently. “I’m not working [ in this industry] in hopes of being a superstar. When I work, I only think about this…one, money; two, the love of it; three, the ability to make others happy. These are the only things I think about.”
tono, u know? i like u more than i can say. u have beautiful voice and u also handsome u look very natural everywhere.
Tono can be my “SINGER” hehehe. I think he is very talented. I have to admit he’s not the best singer, but it can sing better than most singers that come out of other record labels (no offense). I actually liked his song and Zen’s song the best on the THE STAR 6 album. I think Tono would do better as an Actor (just need to get fatter). He has the look and also the draw. I mean if I had to choose between Tono, Gun, Rit and Zen as leading P’ek I would go Tono, Zen, Gun, then Rit. Tono has more of a mystery that makes you drawn to him. I read a lot about him, he had a hard life, worked hard, and does what his heart contents and is all about making people happy. TONO CAN COME TO THE USA AND MAKE ME HAPPY. HEHEHE
I like Tono more than I like Rit, but I think Tono does suit anything besides singing too.
i wont’ lie — i actually enjoy his single out in the star6 ALBUM special more so than the other ppl (except gun) .. probably the emotion and the lyric goes well — and his voice compliment it all .. as for singing, i’m okay with tono — he’s suit to sing a certain genre of music — maybe not the slow smooth kind of music but rockish, maybe he might have luck with it .. other than this, he’s pretty decent in acting — i laugh so hard with him and rit with Bie/Art’s sitcom. He’s very natural there lOl
