Ka Khong Khon: EP 7 Luk wants to keep his wife

Now you like her ay! Luk has deeply fallen for Kluay and he is looking for ways to get out of their impending divorce. They signed two documents at their ‘wedding’, one to get marry (a marriage certificate) and one to divorce.

Done. I haven’t read through what I wrote. I will eventually, probably not. haha.

In episode 6, Peemarn essentially was blackmailed by Luk to choose between marrying Rutta or to have his dirty little secret of having an illegitimate child named Markie disclose to Rutta, the woman who adores him and Kluay, the woman he loves.The secret could ruin his personal and professional life.

He choose to save himself by marrying Rutta and to keep that secret hidden. Peemarn went to apologize to Rutta’s father, his boss, for being indecisive and breaking up the engagement when they had already agreed to it. He went to apologize to Rutta at her house and asked for a second chance.

Rutta agrees:”I will agree to marry you Khun Peemarn. I believe this is the best option for everyone at this moment.”

Everyone is happy. Rutta goes back in her room and cries because that is what she does.

Tears drop and she says: “I’m doing this for you Khun Peemarn. I’m doing this for your future.” Okay.

Back at the house, all of the servants are overjoyed, the issue has been resolved no more fighting between Luk and Peemarn. They celebrate in the kitchen. Though everyone is happy, servant girl Chern puts a damper in everyone’s mood by mentioning that Kluay will be leaving soon. Chern will miss Kluay, so will Khun Yam and the celebration ends with the two ladies leaving first. Put follows him after and tells the annoying gossiping servant lady to clean up after them.

The next day, Kluay calls Jetsada to inform him of the good news, Peemarn is getting married and she is leaving this mansion soon. Possibly, by next Monday. After Kluay clears everything, they will meet up at Kluay Garden house.

Jetsada:”That’s a good idea then I can go play my respect to your grandmother and discuss our thing.”

Kluay is stunned and asked him what he was referring to.

Jetsada:”The thing of me asking you to marry me. I haven’t even asked your grandmother yet.”

Jetsada ends the call before Kluay could discuss the issue further with him.

At his company, Luk is getting the rundown by his lawyer on what will happen if Peemarn breaks up the engagement again, Rutta’s family has a lot of influence, if they do anything to displease them, Luk’s reputation and business will suffer also.Everything has to go as plan, Peemarn must marry Rutta and Luk must divorce Kluay. Luk understands but wants to stall the process, so he decides to send his lawyer to England to go pick up Markie.

Lawyer:”Hey, if you send me to England, who will handle the divorce papers?”

Luk stalls him: “I said you don’t have to, whatever is more important, you handle that first.”

Lawyer guy taunts him. “Either way, I will handle this as quickly as possible. The only thing is whether you want to divorce or not.”

HAHA. Check!

Lawyer guy:”The truth is, Khun Rotrarate (Kluay) is a good person, maybe in the past, I might have misunderstood her. I think you should…”

Before they could continue with their conversation, Jane interrupts them.

Later that night, Kluay is in Luk’s room cleaning up and ponders to herself while staring at his white suit:”In a few days, I won’t be doing this anymore.”

Luk walks in and Kluay is startled. “Why did you come home so early?”

Luk:”If I didn’t, I wouldn’t have know you secretly came into my room when I’m not around. Why did you come? Maybe you secretly came into my room to sleep in my bed and dream of me.”

Kluay yelled at him and called him crazy and nonsensical. She is only in his room to hang the suit he will be wearing  at the engagement  party tomorrow.

Mentioning of the engagement party puts a damper in their jolly mood and they stare at each other longingly briefly. Kluay disrupt the mood by excusing herself to leave, Luk stops her. He has something to give her, an earring and necklace red jewel set.

Kluay protested that she has accessories that matches her dress already from the rental store. Luk argues that his wife is not wearing something fake like those things.

Luk:”This is something old and my mother’s. You wanna try it on?”

They walked to a mirror and Luk puts the necklace on her. She compliments the necklace’s beauty and he takes her hand.

He sits her down on his bed. “I’m sorry at our wedding day, I didn’t give you a wedding ring.”

Kluay:”it’s okay, we didn’t marry for real.”

Luk:”Regardless, you are my wife no matter the reason why we married, I don’t want you to forget about us.”

Kluay is stunned. He gives her a wedding ring. “This ring is an heirloom from my mother. Whenever you look at this ring, I want you to remember that once you were married to Mr. Luk  (I’m not even gonna try to spell his last name), this person.”

She is moved and is speechless. She tears up. He asked to put the ring on for her. She agrees. After that, they give each other a respectful ‘wai’.

Kluay:”No matter where I am at, I will always remember that I was once a mistress of this house.”

Cue the sad song!

He sees her tears and wipes them away for her. They smile at each other yearningly.

At the engagement party, Luk is very affectionate towards Kluay. It was like they were celebrating their own engagement, their new beginning also.

Luk introduces Kluay to his aunt and his aunt smacked him for not telling anyone he got married. “You act as though you don’t have family,” she scolded at him.

Luk playfully apologized to everyone. “I greatly apologize. Myself and Khun Kluay met and instantly fell in love and married. We loved each other very much.”

Luk’s aunt asked where they first met, Kluay struggled to give her an answer, so Luk did all the talking. He turned to face Kluay and profess how he really felt when he first saw her. “We met at a friend’s company party. The first time I saw her, I knew instantly I was waiting for this woman all my life.”

All is forgiven and Luk’s uncle even joked, I’m so jealousy of you.

From a distance, Peemarn is heartbroken by seeing Luk and Kluay together.

Rutta sees him watching them and walked over to him. “Khun Rotrarate is a very beautiful. Though I am a woman like her, I have accept that she is beautiful and has a lot of charm.”

Peemarn:”Whoever is around her can’t help but love her. She is not just beautiful, she is a good person too.”

Dude, shut up, you’re standing next to your future wife and you’re talking about another woman. OUCH much!

Rutta:”But Khun Kluay and Khun Luk love each other, I don’t understand why you….”

Peemarn defends himself. “Between Khun Kluay, Me, and P’Luk, there are many things that you don’t know.”

Rutta still wants to know. Before he could say anything, her mother interrupted them.

Back with the cute couple, Kluay is plating food for Luk and he mocks her. “Though you look like a small thing, you a big eater too.”

Kluay corrected him and said it was for him, he hasn’t eaten all day. Luk leaned forward towards her and whispered, “because my heart is full.”–corny!

Before they go off to take a picture, Kluay fixed his tied and suit for him. “To have a wife it’s good like this,  there is  always someone to take care of you. If I have known this before, I would have gotten one a long time ago.”

Khun Khae sees them together and is annoyed.

After the engagement ceremony, Luk wants to take Kluay out for dinner. As each dress, Khun Khae comes to see Kluay to confront her.

Khun Khae:”I wanted to thank you for getting Peemarn to marry Khun Rutta, if you didn’t accept Khun Luk’s offer to marry him, Peemarn would not have married Rutta.”

Kluay:’It’s okay, I did not have plans to marry Khun Peemarn any how.”

Khun Khae (does her striking eye stare down thing):”But you did not have plans to marry Khun Luk right? I’m asking you bluntly.”

Kluay is left speechless.

Khun Khae:”You have to be close to together, I understand some bonding will happen. But now your responsibility has ended, thus it means your relationship with Khun Luk must end also. I don’t want you think about things that can never happen.”–oh shut up woman.

Kluay:”I don’t dare to think of it.”

Khun Khae (with a stern voice):”Whenever you are going to leave this place, please come see me at the white house. Nonetheless, you were once an employee of this house.”

Khun Khae looks down and the drums started to beat. She notices the ring that Kluay is wearing. Oh no.

Khun Khae:”AY! That is Khun Luk’s mother’s ring. I can remember that.”

Nervously, Kluay slowly and softly said: “yes, Khun Luk gave me this for remembrance.”

Khun Khae:”That ring is the head mistress’s ring passed down from generations. That’s a pity, Khun Luk should not give it to anyone so easily like this.”

Kluay starts to cry and Khun Khae doesn’t console her and just left.

After that, Kluay decides to return the ring and the red jewelry set back to Luk. He refuses to take it back.

Luk protesting:”I have already given this to you, I don’t want it back.”

Kluay reasoned with him. “But I don’t want it.”

She looks away. “We mean nothing to each other. In two days, I will leave this place. You will go back to your life and so will I. I don’t want anything to remember you by.”

She wipes her tears.

Khun Luk:”So that means in the time that we were together, you don’t have any good memories at all?”

She turns around to face him, she takes off the ring and placed it in his plam and answered: “No ka. None at all.”

Dude, you were crying, if I was the guy I would not have believed you.”

But since this is a lakorn, pra’ek had to be stupid and believed what nang’ek said.

Before leaving her room, Luk wept also. As he is nearing the door, he looked back at Kluay and only saw her back. Good gosh, can you guys be more dramatic. He leaves the room, she turns to watch him leave. Oy. Then we had the crying from both.

It’s okay guys, you are the leading couple, you will get back together. No crying please. It looks painful too.

With Rutta at her house, she looks at her engagement ring and knows Peemarn didn’t want to marry her.

Rutta:”You probably want to put this ring on Khun Rotrarate more than me. Why ka, when she is your brother’s wife? What is the secret that you are hiding from me.” Yea I don’t know guy.

Rutta is anxious and decides to call Peemarn to have dinner.

They arrive at the restaurant to find Luk there too. Luk is in a state, he is drinking by himself and thinking about Kluay. He sees a man putting on ring for his girlfriend at a nearby table, he has a flashback of the times he had with Kluay.

When Peemarn and Rutta arrived, they asked the greeter if Luk came alone.The guy told them, Luk had a reservation for 2 and said he was coming with his wife to celebrate but then he came alone.

“Oddly he came alone, he wasn’t polite, and didn’t talk to anyone.”

Rutta assumed Luk probably fought with Kluay and Peemarn excused himself to go talk to Luk.

Peemarn goes to Luk’s table and taunts him. “Don’t tell me you are so happy you decided to come celebrate my engagement by drinking by yourself.”

Luk:”Why are you here?”

He looks back at Rutta:”Oh you brought your beautiful fiancee for dinner.”

Peemarn:”I’m engaged now, who else can I bring? What about you P’Luk, why didn’t you bring your wife, or is it that when I got engaged, you and Khun Kluay would instantly break up.”—he is smart. Good boy, pat on the head.

Yep guy, he got you in check and Luk knows it. Luk stands up and leaves without saying anything to Rutta.

Peemarn follows him out. “hold up P’Luk.”

“It looks as though you are not happy. What is it, since I agreed to get engage to Khun Rutta like how you wanted, you still have a problem?”

Luk turns around to face his younger brother: “I don’t have problem, if you don’t shut your mouth there will be a problem.”—yea guy, punch him.

Peemarn:”Please don’t throw a tantrum, brother.  I can tell by the things you have done to Khun Kluay, you like her already huh?”–yes he does. Haha.

Luk doesn’t answer Peemarn and Peemarn walked around to face his older brother. “It’s very amusing, the woman to who you previously looked down on and hired to fake marry you, the woman to who you thought was beneath you, not worth it, not suitable for me…in the end, you have fallen for you.”

Luk can’t take anymore and grabbed his brother by the collar. “PEEMARN!”

Peemarn gives him a smirk, “I know why you feel distress right now because you don’t want to break up with Khun Kluay, am I right?”—yes  you are young man!

Luk looks around and doesn’t answer him.Peemarn starts to poke at Luk’s chest near his heart. “How does it feel? Does it hurt? Do you understand how it feels now to have the woman you love be taken away from you.”—guy, I think he knows, stop rubbing it in.

Luk doesn’t answer him and pushed Peemarn back. “I think you have misunderstood something, younger brother. Because I am not an overly sensitive guy LIKE YOU!”

Luk leaves and Peemarn cries. DUDE. You been crying since episode 1, stop crying already.

Luk leaves and Rutta walked over to see Peemarn. Yep, home chica heard everything.

In the lounge area, they privately have a chat.

Rutta:”so this is the thing you have been hiding from me.”

Peemarn was frank with Rutta, he told her the truth about what happen. “Yes, P’Luk hired Khun Kluay for 10 million baht to marry him in name only to make me marry you.”

Rutta doesn’t believe that Kluay is that type of woman, she is not a woman out for money, this thing seems unlikely also.

Peemarn agrees too because Kluay is a prideful woman, a good woman, something must have happened to have made her marry Luk. Yea, her dumb butt older brother who is constantly getting into trouble.

Rutta tries to put reason into this. “Right now, you are engage to me, thus it means their agreement is over.”

YEA!

Peemarn:”Soon, Khun Kluay and Luk will get a divorce.”

Rutta stared at Peemarn with fear in her eyes and Peemarn notices it. “Why are you looking at me in that way,” he asked.

Rutta:”I understand everything now. I do feel for you. I have made my decision, I will break our engagement.”

Peemarn takes both her hands. “How can you do this?”

Rutta:”Don’t be afraid. This time you will not be the one at fault. I will be the one who is breaking the agreement, I will tell my mother I have changed my mind.”

Peemarn:”Have I done something else to hurt you.”—yea you did. Like is you dumb, like seriously. She freaking loves your ass and you keep talking about your other woman Kluay.

Rutta:”I don’t want to be engage you when your heart is with someone else. This is our best option. In 6 months, I will break our engagement so that you can be free to go to the person you love.”

Peemarn is touched and says he doesn’t know what to say. Shut up.

Kluay returns everything to Khun Yam–house keys, various documents. She is leaving but must first find a place to stay. The house she rented before has a new occupant and she currently doesn’t have a home.

Khun Yam asked Kluay does she really have to go and Chern begged her stay. “I really don’t want you to go. If you leave who will stay with Khun Luk?”

Kluay doesn’t answer her and they all hear commotion at the front door. It’s truck with things Luk ordered for the new room. Khun Yam knows about it but doesn’t know who is coming to live with them. Kluay doesn’t either. Since the colors are bright and sweet, probably a young woman said servant guy Put.

Kluay is stunned by tthe joke. “See Khun Yam, we don’t have to worry about him, soon he will have a friend to stay with.”

Kluay quickly left the estate to go house/ apartment hunting. She had to go with Jetsada.

Jetsada doesn’t like the first place they checked out. Though it is cheap 3,500 baht (115 USD) per month, it does look dangerous, according to Jetsada. He doesn’t want her to live here alone. Kluay told him not to worry, she will bring Aunt Kian or maybe her older brother Kai to live with.

Jetsada:”What’s the matter Kluay, we will get marry soon anyways, soon you will have to move in with me.”—ew, no she won’t.

Kluay had to set him straight, it’s time to tell him she doesn’t like him.

They walk to a park, Kluay takes out his engagement ring box. OH no.She returns it. The ‘sad’ music from EXACT production start playing. OH no.

He opens it, it’s the engagement ring that he gave her. He quickly shuts it and sighs. DUDE, why did you even look? Obviously it’s your ring.

Jetsada:”The reason you are rejecting me is because you don’t love me?”–Yea.

But nope, she doesn’t answer him like that. “The reason WHY I am rejecting you is because I’m not ready to marry yet.”—Oh please, tell the truth, you like someone else, like Mr.Arrogant Rich pra’ek Luk.

Kluay:”Another thing is that I have a lot of burdens, I have to watch over my grandmother.”

Jetsada:”Oh just that issue, you don’t have to worry about that. We have known each other since we were kids. Your grandmother is like my grandmother. Though I am not that rich, I promise to watch over you and your grandmother well.”

Kluay:”It’s not just that. In the past, I had to face many difficult things, I want to live calmly for a while. To live quietly for a while to figure out what I want. I’m really not ready to get marry.”

Jetsada:”Are you sure? Are you sure you don’t love someone else.”

Jetsada walked over to face Kluay. “You don’t love that guy Luk, right?” He asked her.

Nervously, Kluay had to deny it. Deny it all you want, you LOVE Luk and everyone knows it even Jetsada.

Jetsada:”Then why haven’t you gotten a divorce? The engagement is done but yet you haven’t divorce yet.”

Kluay starts to make excuse for Luk. “He is a busy man. This morning I didn’t even see him. Either way, we will eventually have to get divorce any how. You don’t have to worry.”

You should worry Jetsada.

He takes her hand. “Kluay, I really love you.”—sorry guy, she doesn’t love you.

“If you are not ready, I can wait. I will wait until you are ready.”

I think Jetsada knows Kluay doesn’t love him, he is a perceptive type of guy, he knows how to read his close friends well. He knew when Kai started physical training for boxing that Kai was training to rig boxing matches for gambling purposes. You can tell he knows when he interrupted her. “It’s a good thing we are delaying it. I can save up to accept grandmother, Khun Kian, for all of us to live together. We can have Kai live with us too, so we can be a big family.”

He turns around to face her. “Don’t you think that is a good idea?”

She doesn’t answer him. Obviously, the answer is no. Sorry, she wants Luk, she doesn’t want you.

Kluay is buying a necktie for Luk.

EW, why does she have to run into Jane. WHY! Oh.

Jane snatches the necktie box from Kluay. “Who are you buying this for, don’t tell me, it’s for Luk.”–bitch shut up.

Kluay:”People have different preferences Khun Janjira, don’t force things and I will go do water merits for you.”–I understand it,  but I can’t translate it well. AHH! She is adding buddhist practices into her insult.

That ticked off Miss Jane very much. “It’s you who has to leave. Peemarn has already gotten engagement, why haven’t you left. Don’t tell me, you plan to hook yourself onto Luk until you die.”

Kluay:”I’m leaving tomorrow. But you probably didn’t get the news because you are forbidden to step foot into that house.”–Ouch. Good comeback.

Jane:”So you have plans to replace me.”

Jane laughs and circles Kluay. “I wanna tell you something. Luk and myself can’t be torn apart because we were born to be together.”–um, so that means you are destined to be with someone who hates you. Luk treats her like crap, he ignores her calls, he ditches her all the time. She is only his friend on the mattress. Like honestly chica, get yourself some self-respect and move on.

Jane:”You are just something coincidental that has come into his life, that’s all.”

That last comment made Kluay cry. Geez woman, it’s not that bad. Stop crying already.

It’s so freaking funny, Lawyer guy brings Luk the divorce papers, Luk pushes it back. “I’m busy right now.”

He is trying to delay this process the best that he can.

Lawyer guy pushes the document towards Luk again and tells him to quickly sign it. Luk makes an excuse that he needs to read it first. The lawyer guy asked him why because this is the same document since the start of this whole thing. HAHA> CHECK.

Lawyer:”I checked through it, Khun Rotrarate has signed it. You just have to please sign there, Khun Luk.”—haha.

Yea Luk, it’s so simple. You just have to sign. HAHA. Luk refuses to sign it in front of his lawyer. “Can’t you see I have a lot of things to sign already, just leave it here. Once I sign it, I will have my secretary send it to you.”

His lawyer smiled because he knows what’s up. His lawyer places the document at the bottom of his pile of documents.

Lawyer guy smiles:”At the bottom, right Khun Luk? So that you can sign it the slowest.”

As he is about to scold his lawyer, his secretary intrudes and tells him he has a guest.

Game face on, it’s JETSADA! AHHHHHHHHHH…FIGHT!

Jetsada wants to know why Luk has not divorce Kluay yet.

Luk:”The issue between a husband and wife, what does that have to do with you?”

Jetsada:”Don’t play that husband and wife game with me, everyone in this room knows that you hired Kluay to marry you. Since the issue has been resolve, why haven’t you divorce Kluay. Where is the divorce papers?”–Dang he is like a freaking angry hyena. Chill out.

Luk:”Who are you from where to tell me what to do?”–yea you tell him Luk. He’s just nang’ek best friend to who she doesn’t love romantically.

Jetsada:”I have rights because I am the person Khun Kluay is marrying.”—whatever dude, she ain’t marrying you. Get that straight to your little head.

Luk stands up. “How can she marry you whens he is legally married to me?” CHECKMATE!

Jetsada grabs Luk by the collar:”Because you haven’t divorce her yet. What does that mean, you plan to go back on this agreement?”–yes he is because he is in Love with a capital L.

Luk’s lawyer told Jetsada to calm down, no one is going back on anything. Lawyer guy Winrawat (I think that is his name, can’t recall) shows Jetsada the divorce documents. Jetsada sees the documents and ordered Luk to sign it in front of him. AH!

Luk:”You dare order me around?”

Luk doesn’t sign the papers and calls for his security guards to remove Jetsada from the building.

As the security guards are holding him back, Jetsada threatened:”This ain’t over yet. If you don’t divorce Kluay, you’ll see me again.”

Luk smiles, this gives him an excuse to tear the divorce documents up. HAHA.

Luk:”You want it that badly.”

He tears up the document in front of Jetsada’s face.

“I don’t like it when people tell me what to do.”

The security guards remove Jetsada, Luk apologizes to his lawyer.

Lawyer:”Khun Luk, though you have teared up the divorce papers, I could still give you another one. You can’t escape this other than the fact that you really wanted to marry Khun Rotrarate.”

Yea guy, just say you want to stay marry to Kluay.

Back at home, Kluay is on the phone with Aunt Kian, they are making arrangements for tomorrow. Kluay told her she can’t do anything yet because Luk hasn’t divorce her yet. Aunt Kian feels nervous about this and asked if Luk is going back on his word with them. Then her grandmother takes the phone and she has to make up excuses to conceal the truth.

Luk comes home in a mood and argues with Kluay about Jetsada. “If you want the divorce papers, why didn’t you tell me? Please have some respect for me because you are still my wife. That guy must really love you. He can’t wait any longer.”

Kluay:”I have never told P’Jet to get the divorce papers from you. If I have someone waiting for me or not, tomorrow, I still have to leave.”

Luk realizing their short time together, he says: “Tomorrow? It’s gonna be here already?”

Luk:”You’re still my employee. I have work for you to do, if you don’t get it done, you can’t leave.”

Kluay is dumbfounded, ‘what work?’

Decorating a room work, lady. Whatever she wants to do with the room, he will pay for it.

Kluay argues this is not enough time. “it’s almost dark, I won’t be done by tomorrow.”

Yep, he likes that agreement. It means she has to stay longer. Luk smiles to himself.

“If you don’t get it done by tomorrow, just stay until you are done with this job. If not, I will consider you a person who doesn’t know how to uphold her responsibility.”

WHAT? haha. What a loser.

Decorating the room with the servant peeps.

Luk is in distress, tomorrow is gonna be here soo,n in a few hours. He is not liking this at all.

Kluay goes to see him in his room to say her good-byes. She gives him a twig with a flower squirrel on it, it’s pretty cool that she can do that. “I want to learn how to do that.

Kluay: “I came to say my good-byes and give you this for the last time.”

When he was little, his mom would make this for him every night. If she didn’t, he would whine about it. Yea, Luk was a brat since he was little.

Luk:”I told you, you can’t go anywhere.”

Kluay:”Khun Luk ka, I have to leave, my assignment is done. You know that well, everyone knows that well.”

She gives him the divorce papers and asked him to sign it for her.

Kluay:”I’m saying my farewell. Thank you for everything.”

Luk:”hold up Khun Kluay….I….I…I wish you the best.”

Kluay:”You too, I wish you the best.”

Kluay says her tearful goodbye to Chern and Khun Yam.

Luk struggles to sign the divorce document. He can’t do it.

“Khun Kluay, what can I do to keep you?”–I don’t know dude, you look smarter than me. THINK!

Ah, Luk has an idea and calls his lawyer for advice about Kluay.

As Kluay is leaving the estate, look who is here? Little MARKIE! Who the heck is this kid?

Luk:”you can’t leave!”

Because Markie is here!
