Actress ‘Kob’ Suvanant Kongying has given birth to a healthy baby girl a month ahead of schedule at the Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital in Bangkok this morning (or yesterday in my time) via a c-section. She came out weighing a healthy 3, 020 grams (6.65lbs), her schedule real birthday should have been May 5. Kob and Brook had wanted to give birth 2 weeks a head of schedule of late May because Kob had a placenta issue. If she gave birth naturally, it would have been dangerous and she would have lost a lot of blood. They have known about this for a while and had been discussing birth plans with their doctor for 2-3 months before their daughter was delivered.
Other than the baby not reversing to the head position for birth, making her a breech baby, and causing her mother’s c-section scar to be larger than usual, both mother and daughter are perfectly healthy.
This morning Kob’s husband ‘Brook’ Danuporn Punnakan with her mother-in-law held a press conference introducing their daughter to the media and all of Thailand. Kob was not present at the press conference because she was resting.
Kob named her child “Punnada” a combination of her last name and her mother-in-law’s name, Darika.

Thank God to modern medicine, doctors, and technology. Women like Kob and myself would not have survive pregnancies like this. Count our blessings and cherish our children as much as we can for only heaven knows, we could’ve died during delivery. Congrats!
