Aum’s mother

A while ago, I posted pictures of Aum with her father voting at the national election. Someone commented they wanted to know what her mother looked liked too. Here you go, her mother.

The pictures are old, from a few months ago when she was still dating Note.

The condom and the much older boyfriend

When I was 15 and 17, I was a dork! No life experiences, taking way too many science courses in High School. No thoughts of condoms or dating a guy who is a decade older than me. I’m not judging, I just grew up differently and sheltered. These two kids are in the limelight–young and in the entertainment industry. They are exposed to more things in their short years than I will ever be in 2 decades. They have fame, money, and adoring fans who are willing to do anything for them.

The first case, we have seventeen year old ‘Gijee’ Jomkwan Leelaphongprasut of Ch3, who is dating a much older man in ‘Kiki’ Sak Nana, a person in the motorsport world, a pioneer of car drifting in Europe. According to Gijee, they are 10 years apart, which would make Kiki roughly 27-28 years old. But according to the Bangkok Post article written about Kiki from 2009, he was 34. It’s been two years, he should be 36, right? So he is 2 decades older than her. Eeee….

Gijee is relatively new in the Entertainment industry with just a few lakorns under her belt–”Dan” Worawech Danuwong’s detective series, and most recently the romantic comedy “Song Poo Ying Yai”.

Thoughts about this relationship?

Case 2, we have young Kao and his condom scandal. I’m not sure if he is sexually active, but mom wants him to carry a condom around just in case of emergencies. Since admitting that in an interview, Kao’s mother ‘Koi’ Weranut La-ongmanee has been criticized for promoting sex to her young 15 year old son. His mother explained her answer was not about promoting sex, it’s about safety. Right now, Kao is not carrying a condom around, she is just teaching him about the birds and the bees and the use of a condom. Kao’s mother is teaching him that there is nothing wrong with sex, he just needs to be safe and responsible about it. The world has changed and she needs to teach her son how to adapt to these changes.

Kao’s mother questioned the reporters during an interview about this topic:”My first question is this, how many young men marry their first (meaning the first person they had sex with)? I also have to ask you another question, young ladies who are standing here right now, how many of you married your first. The answer is that society has changed. If you asked if I teach my young nieces about preserving their chastity, I do and I also teach my son about preserving his chastity and to not do anything to girls, I do teach him. But in this changed society, I have to release my child into it when he gets older. I can not be with him all the time. Therefore, my best method is to teach him how to protect himself. Today, he is not carrying it. If I had a daughter and she had a boyfriend, I would tell him to carry it around. Because it is a method to protect yourself, just in case the guy does not take responsibility. The ending point would be an emergency residence.”

Kao agrees with his mother, when given the opportunity, he knows he will act on it. “When that time comes, the percentage is HIGH. In that moment, I don’t think I can stop myself. With my raging teenager hormones, if the opportunity arises…it would not be wrong if I did something. If I was able to protect myself, if we broke up, it wouldn’t be a problem. More than the concern with pregnancy, there is contracted an STD (Sexual Transmitted Disease), everything is our future. If all guys took responsibility, why would we need an emergency residence for? I also want girls to be cautious too.”

Kao’s mother reiterated that teaching her son about condoms is not about promoting sex, it’s about protection. “The question that became big news is what is the method I use to look after my child. My answer was, when he is older and is going out with his friends, he is learning about society, I told him to protect himself and to protect who he will have relations with. In the future, all kids are curious and want to see, you have to give them the opportunity to see and know. This is better than letting them fail. About taking responsibility, he has been taught for a long time now–to take responsibilities for himself and for others.”

Wow, Kao’s mother is a modern woman, she is not boran (old-fashioned) at all. Getting some insights from Thai netizens at Gossipstar, they seem to be in support of Kao’s mother. Kao should learn how to protect himself sexually when an opportunity arises, many wrote.

Rotmay’s mom

Maybe she looks like her dad more.

Ploypus’s TV host and actress Rotmay and her mother Tidarut will be making an appearance on the Game Neramit show. This is a first for mom.

Her mother was nervous. “My mother is the type that doesn’t speak, thus she looks shy and normally she doesn’t like to dress up or wear make-up, this is a little strange for her,” said Rotmay. Her mother did admit she was nervous and consulted with her daughter for a long time before they came on the show.

Originally, she wanted to bring her younger brother but their schedule didn’t match. He is an university student and did not have time to take off of school for this show that will be taking several days to film.

Rotmay is very attached to her mother and described herself like a young calf who still needs her mom. When she goes home, they sleep in the same bed together. She was the first to discover her mother had thyroid issues when they slept on the same bed together–her mother made loud noises while sleeping and normally she doesn’t snore. Rotmay found this strange and encouraged her mother to see a doctor. Soon after, they discovered her mother had a thyroid issue.

About men coming into Rotmay’s life, mom is concern but she does not have a strict criteria for these young men. As long as they can care for her, she is alright with them. Rotmay’s mothe did joke she doesn’t like the men coming into her daughter’s life at the momebt because she wants to keep Rotmay by her side a little longer.

James Ruengsak ends 12 year relationship with Ae

At least they tried, they have known they were incompatible for the last 5 years. They tried everything– talking, adjusting, seeking professional relationship help, but nothing seemed to work, thus they have made the decision to downgrade their relationship status from lovers to friends. Twelve years, they have been together.  They have thought about getting married to resolve the issue, but in the end, they nixed that plan. Good thing.

They cite differences in attitude, thoughts, and how they live their life, caused by being raised differently as reasons for their split.

James Ruengsak and ‘Ae’ Sasikarn Apichartworasip held a press conference today at the Ratchadalai Theater to announce their break up.
