Furious Tawan: Ep 7 romantic scenes

To be honest, I didn’t expect to like this series at all, since I have a passionate dislike for Thai action series. Oddly, with a recommendation from my parents who are more of a drama addict than I am, I started watching it. It’s good. I can’t get enough of Mark Prin and Yaya’s on-screen chemistry.

The backstory:

Tawan played by Mark Prin is out for blood for the murder of his parents 10+ years ago. He returns to the  lawless town of Phuprakan  and Rai Fah Roong (Daybreak Sky Farm), a plot of land that used to belong to his family and is now owned by Sukda and his two daugthers Phetroong (Yaya) and Ploykwan (Mint Chalida). Tawan plans to kill Sukda and the ruthless Por Liang Jaran (Johny Anfone), the two men who organized the massacre of his father and the people who worked for him.

Tawan returns to his old town and farm but his target Sukda is nowhere to be seen. Sukda killed the town sheriff and fled the town leaving his daughters Ploykwan and Phetroong to tend the farm on their own. Tawan waits for Sukda’s return by taking a job as a guard against bandits at the Fah Roong Farm and he starts to develop a relationship with Phetroong and Ploykwan.

During happier times, Phetroong and Tawan were childhood playmates, their fathers’ were best friends and they spent a lot of time together. Even as an adult, Phetroong still longs for her beloved Tawan, now disguised as Seua, her head guard at the Fah Roong Farm.

Phetroong is going through some tough times, her father is on the lamb and she receives news from her father’s assistant Khun Yut that she must marry the new sheriff in town Narong to save her father from prosecution. Narong is a powerful man and the son of General Reungrit. He and his father wants to own the Fah Roong farm because they think there are gemstones on the property.

The ending to Ep7:

At dinner, Phetroong learns she must make a choice to marry Narong and save her father or not. Her father is letting her make the decision and she agrees to the marriage. What other choice does she have? She needs to save her father.

Seua confronts her about the decision, ‘You shouldn’t marry that guy.’

Phetroong:’But he has promise to save my father.’

Seua:’He has made this offer without knowing you, can you trust him?’

Phetroong:’He has power whenever he orders, Por Liang Jaran will back down.’

Seua:”What about you? How will your life be to marry a man you don’t love.’

Phetroong:’Eventually I will learn to love him, have you ever heard of that?’

Seua:’But you are not that type of person.’

Phetroong:’You have not known me for very long, how do you know I would think that way?’

Seua:”P’Porn once told me a story about you when you were a child, he said you were a coward, but you were the most mischievous out of all the kids. Anything that is yours, no one can steal it from you. Anything that you don’t like, no one can convince you [to like].’

Phetroong:’Now, I’m not a kid anymore. I have to help my father protect the Fah Roong farm.’

She turns away from him to leave, he gently pulls her back.

Phetroong urges him to stop.

Seua:’You can hit or yell at me as much as you want. But I have to tell you, I don’t want you to belong to anyone, except the person you love.’

She stares at him and tells him: ‘the person I love has left me a long time ago, my heart now is empty. I don’t love anyone, there is no need for you to worry.’

He slowly releases her from his grip.

A few days later, Narong makes a visit to the farm and asked if he and his entourage could stay the night. Also, the next day, he also wants a tour of the farm.

Being that Seua is the head guards, Phetroong asked him if he could come along on the tour with her. Obviously she doesn’t want to be alone with that devious Narong guy. Ee..

He refuses though she argues he doesn’t have the right to.

Phetroong:’Why are you disobeying me?’

Seua:’He probably wants to be alone with you so that he can talk about the wedding.’

Phetroong:’That is none of your concern. Whatever is your responsibility, you should do it.’

Seua:’Why don’t you order someone else to go in my place? P’Porn knows the area better than me.’

Phetroong:’You are the head of the guards. It’s just a little matter, why do you have problem with it? Oh, tomorrow you have an appointment with Mae Naree (the lady who owns the pub and brothel) so you don’t want to come with me.’

Seua:’No.’

Phetroong:’Why are you ditching work? What is your reasoning?’

He doesn’t want to answer her and she orders him to answer. ‘Tell me.’

Seua:’I don’t want to see.’—yea, see what?

Phetroong:’See what?’

Seua:’I don’t want to see you with him.’——ahahahahah.

Phetroong:’You have no right to think that way.’

Seua:’I know, but we can’t stop our thoughts.’

Phetroong:’You have to because it is my order.’

Seua:’In that case, why can’t you listen to your own orders. Tell me that you love him, love a man you have never known before. Tell me you can do it.’

Seua:’What makes you think I can’t do it. I will love him, be his wife–whoever it is, the person who saves my father, I can do that. Can you submit to that? You are just a guard, one of my employees, your life is just that. Next time, please don’t talk carelessly around me.’

The conversation has an affect on Phetroong, she replays the conversation all over again in her room.

Phetroong:’Seua? Do you….’

She doesn’t finish the thought.

The next day, the three Narong, Phetroong, and Seua go on their tour. Near a stream, Narong gets frisky with Phetroong. Seua intervened and pushed him to the ground.

‘It’s time for you to leave Sheriff, you have been here too long’

Narong:’What right do you have to chase me away, Seua? I’m the soon-to-be  your boss and the owner of this farm’

Seua:’Wait until that times comes then you can exert those rights. But right now, I’m the protector of this area.’

Narong:’As a pathetic guard? How can a guard like you compete with a law officer like me?’

Seua being a smart ass replied, ‘I also have a gun. What’s the difference?’—haha.

Narong can’t take his smart comment and starts throwing punches and the two men start fighting.

Phetroong stands on the sidelines urging them to stop. Seua is able to take the upper-hand and finds himself on top of Narong throwing punches. Phetroong screams at him to stop and he stops reluctantly.

Seua:’Listen to me sheriff, though your father has authority up to the skies, it does not mean you can live longer than anyone else. At most, for funerals, you know it sooner than anyone else.’

Narong points at Seua and threatens him. ‘The next time, you are gonna get it.’

As Seua turns to walk away, Narong reaches for his gun. Luckily, Phetroong notices it time and points her pistol at him. ‘Stop it right there sheriff, if you touch any one of my men, I would consider our bond as an invalid. Here, even if your father has an army, even if your father is GOD, I don’t care.’

Their conversation ends when they hear noises from the distance and believe the farm has been raided by bandits again. Really it’s just Ploykwan and the guys playing a prank on Narong’s men by throwing firecrackers at them. She wants to chase them away because she knows they are at the farm for bad intentions–the gemstone thing.

The prank goes terribly bad, Sing gets into a daggers and samurai sword fight with Narong’s Japanese looking lackey. To save Sing from being stabbed, Ploykwan knocks the Japanese looking lacky with Sing’s pistol and he passes out. It’s  a big mess when Phetroong arrives with Seua and Narong.

Phetroong is livid when she hears what Ploykwan did. She yells at her.

Ploykwan argues it is not her fault, she didn’t know it would turn out badly.

Phetroong:’But you know how very chaotic this situation is.’

Ploykwan:’But I didn’t prank to have fun, my intentions was to chase them away from the Fah Roong Farm.’

Phetroong:’But they are here to save our father.’

Ploykwan:’That is not true, they want to seize the Fah Roong Farm and to look for the source of the gemstones. They are as bad as Por Liang Jaran.’

Phetroong turns quickly to look at Narong and angrily orders her younger sister Ploykwan to take it back.

Ploykwan refuses.

Enraged, Phetroong raised her whip at Ploykwan but is stopped by Seua.

‘What are you gonna do?’

‘That is my younger sister,  you have no right to interfere.’

Seua:’You can’t whip your sister to please some one else.’

Phetroong:’Ploykwan has done wrong, I have to punish her.’

Seua offers to take the punishment in place of Ploykwan. ‘You can whip me in her place.’

Phetroong orders Seua to back off but he refuses. Accidentally, she whips his face.

Everyone is stunned by her actions. Phetroong is stunned also.

In tears, Phetroong yells at everyone.

“Why? Why does no one trust me?  Why does everyone cause problems? I try to take care of this place, take care of everyone. Why? Why do you guys do this to me?’

After her statement, she runs off into her room.

Narong orders his men to take his injured assistant to see the doctor and then directs his attention to Ploykwan. ‘Khun Ploykwan, I don’t know what proof you have, but I want to tell you one thing. If I want to take the Fah Roong farm, no one can stop me.’—Dude is scary.

Phetroong feels guilty about the whole situation and locks herself in her room.

Later that night, Seua goes to see Phetroong. You have to watch this scene, best scene ever.

Seua:’ Khun Nu (Little Mistress), please let me in.’

Phetroong:’You have no right to come in.’

He places his palm on the glass and begs her again. ‘Please let me in.’

She turns to face him. Did he slide the door open or did she? I’m not sure.

Seua:’I'm worried about you.’

Phetroong starts to weep. ‘I’m sorry, I’m disappointed.’

She reaches for his wound and he takes her hand.

Seua:’If you only see me as a hired help, you don’t have to say anything like this.’

He leads her closer to the bed and hugs her. No kiss people because this is a lakorn targeted for Thai young adults.

He kisses her forehead and slowly her cheeks. He goes to kiss her lips, she stops him.

Phetroong:’I will scream for help.’

Seua:’You can kill me if you want.’

He goes for another kiss, she turns away again.

Phetroong:’It’s not worth it, believe me.’

Seua:’I have already made my decision.’

He touches her lips and the episode ends. Oh. Damn you.
