Tawee Pope’s OST makes my arm hairs stand…

Wrote a Thai netizen at Pantip, it brings back memories of the original with  “Ann” Siriam Pakdeedamrongrit and Saranyu Wongkrachang from 1994. I agree, I fell in love with this song when I first heard it on Monday. The song is titled “Ter Keu Krai (Who are you?)”, sung by Khun Nalinrut, a graduate of Chulalongkorn University with a bachelor degree in Music. It’s a classical song telling  the story of “Tawee Pope” about a young woman who travels through time to find her true love. The young woman is transfixed on an antique mirror with mystical powers that acts like a time portal to the past.

Before she purchased the mirror, she dreams of him, his home, the aroma of his world, his era, the sound of his violin. Her purchase of the mirror was not by chance, but rather it was designed by the heavens for this young woman to meet her destined lover.

Khun Nalinrut-“Ter Keu Kra (Who are you?)”

LYRICS:

Like a dream, that night was unbelievable.
Weaving a yearning, mist of love delightfully persuaded
Cupid conjured a trick to make the floor reverse.
A fitting return, securing love for me and you.

*
Like an accordance to a holy miracle, the subconscious of love blossomed
Following the demand of an attachment, worry, and the heart na er
I must fly, vanish faraway, alone always.
I moan while asleep on several occasions.

**
Who are you? Who do you belong to?
Where am I, I crossed worlds to be close, oh my heart desires
With an unwavering love… I hope to cross through time.
For love to break apart the veil of the heavens for us to meet.

(Repeat *, **)

Note: this was translated by me, I tried my best. Hopefully it’s good enough.
